Pizza Place (SOUTHAMPTON ) in Southampton

After a few bad experiences years ago I gave up on this place. But, recently we've been again and it's so much better.

Meat and salad were very good and my wife and I enjoyed them. Chips were OK. Unfortunately I didn't get my pita bread and my wife didn't get her garlic mayo which was disappointing. The price was quite high too which made the minor shortcomings all the more disappointing.

Two guys on the till today were great! Really helpful at showing me offers to save money and even brought the food to my car when it was ready! A lot better staff than there used to be!

Food was amazing and served nice & hot, ordered the chicken breast burger which tasted fresh and sauces were very tasty especially their home made chilli sauce. The hot wings were unreal & crispy, they are not shy with their portions and the cheesy chips were also amazing. 10/10 would definitely come again and highly recommend to anyone

Great service and great food and it’s relatively quick, do miss the old owners but the new owners are doing a great job as well

Ordered 2x pizza deal, had garlic bread, bottle of coke and 2 portions of chips for free plus 15 % off. What a deal. Delivery guy was on time ( on Saturday night and few miles away 👍 ) and very friendly. Food itself was nice and hot.

Daughter always orders from pizza place. Food is greatly priced, and always delived hot great food and tasty. If not happy with anything, it is dealt with straight away. Most probably one of the best takeaway out there.

Not happy with this order of a two donar kebabs and a chicken kebab with chips and a free garlic bread. The chips tasted like rubber. Harley any chicken at all... And the dinar kebab came with BBQ sauce when we asked for burger sauce. And the donar meat diddnt taste good either, even my son who eats anything didn't enjoy this what so ever.... unfortunately this will be the last time we order from here....!!!!! Also 5mins after posting this review my wife was just sick... Stay away...!!

Best pizza, hot and incredibly tasty. Chicken doner was amazing, the chicken was juicy and hot, and it came with an amazing sauce which was made in house. I came to Southampton, with my husband and this take away was close to where we stayed. Although the past reviews were not very encouraging, we decided to give it a try, and we were honestly impressed. The quality of Pizza Place is outstanding. It is also very clean and we could tell that they really care about hygiene and work in a good environment. The stuff was also friendly, and respectful. We couldn't recommend more, please give it a try. It's worth it

I would always choose pizza here over anywhere. The pizza was not exactly what I ordered but was quick and hot.

Whenever we think about take-out pizza this is always our choice. Forget the other, more expensive, brands. Pizza Place has long given us value, quality and a wide range of pizzas. Why we would consider anything else?

Terrible service ordered from hear tonight and we waited over a hour and when we tried Ringing to check on where our order was they kept hanging up the pizza base don't taste very nice at all and it is over priced and also they have us mayonnaise dip and a barbecue dip for our pizza when we asked for garlic and herb we won't be ordering again.

Probably the best pizza around!! The shop is a bit knackered but the food is delicious 😋

Used pizza place for years, they got a pizza wrong and were willing to do nothing about it and very uncooperative and rude. Implied it was our fault. Have lost a loyal customer tonight

Was a loyal customer, not anymore. Order was missing 2 items, and also missing the free cheesy garlic pizza bread. Called the restaurant and advised what was missing. Was told there's nothing they can do. Asked them to send me the items I ordered, they point blank refused and said that "the customer is never right". Complained to Just Eat, who issued a refund for the missing items (£7 worth of food). Will definitely not use again. They used to go above and beyond for their customers, but it seems that they have just gone completely downhill. During a pandemic, you think they would want to try and keep as many customers as possible so they can stay open, but apparently not.

We have been very loyal customers to Pizza Place over the years, but over the last year the service and quality of the food has become very poor. Last night was the final straw , the order was missing the cheesy chips and the any three combination kebab had hardly any chicken donner meat in it and what was in it was so burnt it was inedible as was the rest of the meat. I phoned and complained we were told that's how the combination kebab comes. I was told a refund for the missing item would be returned to my house. After an hour I called again and was told very rudely they are busy and I would be receiving the refund within half an hour. As expected it didn't turn up. We will never order from Pizza Place again and would definitely advise people against ordering from there, in my opinion they are not worthy of one star but unfortunately I couldn't give them none.

Absolutely disgusted, lost a very loyal customer tonight, have ordered from here for years, and tonight just topped it off. 1. The prices online are completely different for what they charge over the phone. 2. Weve had a few orders that have been wrong in the past and weve ignored it, as the food is really nice. Well tonight the prices are ridiculous £9 for a large chicken and what we got, I wouldn't even had said it was a medium. Very very disappointed.

Been ordering Here for 8 years and just orderd something from their for 15 pound and said min delevery 20 because to far away we'll you done it for us for 8 years with a 15 pound min order, cheers lost a customer already and were going through a pandemic 😊 on about supporting ur local small business

The doner kebab was completely burned and so oily the bag was soaked in oil. The food tasted like it was old and had been reheated and fried. Even the pita was hard and seemed to have come out of the freezer. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Having received our order this evening, one of the chicken kebabs had a long black hair on it. We called to bring this to the attention of the shop and ask for a replacement. On arriving with our new kebab, we had to produce the old one, showing the hair, and rebox it. The delivery driver said that all staff that evening at the shop had NO HAIR, just like himself. He was insinuating we had placed the hair on the kebab ourselves. I took a drive up to the shop half an hour later and the bald fella was behind the counter....with THREE members of staff in the establishment with very dark hair! We will not be ordering again from this liar, after years of custom.

Ordered some food in store these clowns charged me for super pizza but gave me a large, I also ordered a large kebab to share with my young family only to find when I got home it was smaller than a small, I called the store to vent my unhappiness this took four calls as on three occasions the phone went down, when eventually I made contact I advised them of their error to be told initially that there was no error, but then a backtrack as I was then told to return to the shop to collect more doner kebab, I said no I am not coming back it needs to be delivered provided my home address, over half an hour later and a another call first to be told that they couldn’t find my address then to be told that I had to wait until later although I initially ordered instore for collection at 18.33.

This used to be the only place I would get my kebabs from, but it's really gone down hill recently. It took four phone calls and 3.5 hours for them to deliver cold kebab and pizza and the kebab is nowhere near as good as it was. I will definitely not be going there again.

Very disappointed. This place has gone massively downhill. Food took 2 hours to arrive, when it did finally arrive part was missing and the free garlic bread when you spend over £20 that they have a big advert for on their website was not there and when I phoned they say they don't do this anymore, well that is false advertising then!!! Also the food we did receive seemed like it had been reheated. When I phoned to say they had missed part of my order it seemed that I was just an inconvenience, I willN order from here again and will be advising people not to either

Absolutely disappointing ordered today ordered the chicken nuggets for my daughter and she found a string in her food and the donner wrap was dripping oil never ordering from them again

Ordered a £50 meal for the family mine didn’t come two hours later mine came was swimming in grease and very little sauce overall awful

Disappointed grandkids tonight! Waited an hour for collection ! Last night No pitta with mixed kebab no salad which was requested in chicken burger and chips hard and overdone! And didnt get free pizza with buy one get one free? And no apologies for forgetting our order ! I work in food and retail myself and understand things go wrong but always resolve the situation !!

Ordered tonight chicken wrap meal etc they sent us two burger meal when we only ask for one with a drink where the chicken wrap meal where the other meal what we ordered I phone up and they were rude and told us is not on are system well that what we ordered up to you if. You wanna order from there but my rating is 2 food is good but it the service

I visited this Pizza Place out of nostalgia when visiting Southampton recently. (I used to live around the corner). Unfortunately, the level of service has declined from excellent to pretty bad, and the quality of food seems to have dropped. I used to order a chicken burger and chips once a month here, which is exactly what I ordered recently, and the burger was dry. I hope that this experience was a one off, and that the food and customer service is usually higher. I will give them one more chance next time I visit.

Never get the full order delivered. Always missing items. Then when you phone to tell them the manager is always so rude, try’s saying that we didn’t order it and the last time said we have to collect the missing items ourselves when it’s a delivery!! So went to collect yesterday and the rude old manager in there was picking his nose while he was cooking the chicken. Absolutely vile person. Never going back there after seeing that. That was the final straw. The manager in there has ruined that business.

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Appalling customer service. Food arrived wrong and to be fair wasn’t the best we’ve had from there far too greasy and chewy. Called to say we only received 1 pizza after going for the buy one get one free offer. First spoke to a women then passed to a man was very rude, told us he didn’t care about our custom. Won’t be using them again.

So had a lovely day out with family decided on a takeaway picked this place for a family treat Half order was wrong so that ruined meal firstly Then when I rang to complain was like taking to children was offered a pizza for refund but not a large 🤔pitta was stale fell to pieces half a box of chicken wings no drink !!! So make your own mind up !

In the catering Buisness but doesn't know what an egg yolk is?? asked for hard egg with messy burger as I don't like runny yolk and no mushrooms and asked for kebab meat to be added to the burger and tried charging me £8+ for a £5.50 burger, ordered the other night and didn't get free garlic pizza bread on my order as apparently i already had a discount when the it says clearly. FREE GARLIC PIZZA BREAD ON ALL ORDERS OVER £20 despite my order being £22 still didn't get it! their pizzas however are amazing just lack knowledge of eggs and was as good as putting a deaf person on the phone to answer calls!!

Ordering really easy and impressive system, but. I'm afraid that's where it stops. Food was late and I mean very late, phoned and asked and was given very abrupt reply without an apology. Food finally arrived, chips and onion rings soggy and kebad very greasy. Most of the food ended up in the bin... Will not be ordering again... Ever..

I ordered the pizza buy get one free. My son chose vegetarian and I chose Mexican hot. Was really delicious. I asked the Lady to change few things and she did exactly. She was very friendly. The food arrived on time and hot. We did enjoy. Thanks

Nice food but unacceptable waiting time. We waited an hour and half for our food to come, then it came twice! The second delivery came an hour after we received our first and the driver was so rude like it was our fault. The food was tasty and generous however the kebabs we ordered were not made up so we had to do make it ourselves. This is our first and last delivery from here.

Im a regular here and last year it has gone downhill big time and tonight was the worst ever for me and now i will not be returning ordered a bogof pizza deal i picked two pizza and then proceeded to checkout. I checked ordered and it all seemed perfect so i completed payment then waited over a hour for the guy to turn up with only one pizza and then was saying i didnt put a second pizza when i know i clearly did but he wasnt having any of it.tgen he said he will call up and get another pizza sent witch was good as shop has just closed but when he turned up second time he was soo arrogant.i even showed him on the website when you pick the pizzas you have to pick 2 to continue with order if you dont pick 2 it wont let you go any futher so it proves from me making the order one of the pizza didnt show up on there end tgey should have relised and called up then surely as ive was charged for 2 pizza deal on receipt and he is there on my door step gone 11pm making out that it is my fault like hell !!!!! sooo annoyed

Worst advertisement ever. Stated buy one get one free on pizza on there website then they turn up with one and say you have to tell them you want the free one. Rude customer service. Never again.

terrible food .you really need to learn to cook onions not everyone likes raw onions. they struggle to understand English which in turn means they get orders wrong.but I don't think they care. and the pitta bread was so hard couldn't eat it

Worst service. Ordered food 2 hours ago, called at 6:45 (specified delivery time) rude woman on the phone says it’s actually 7:15, i’m like cool okay whatever... 7:15 comes and goes I phone back and rude woman says they’ve put my food somewhere because they don’t know who’s doing what. She then refuses to cancel my order and give me a refund because it’s been cooked even though they don’t know where they’ve even put it. Had to call just eat to force them to cancel it. Do not bother ordering from here.

Have ordered from here alot and have always been good but just lately they have mucked up on orders..miss things off the salad forget to put in drinks and have even sent wrong pizza before but the food itself has always been good

Couldn't eat fish.it was shimmy and wet... didn't even get our pie.. no sauces we added to food even though ordered.. call them but left hanging on the phone while they chatted and didn't deal with us just hung up..i even texted and no replay.. was scared to even give this food to the dogs... Horrified with this food and service don't eat from here EVER

Had both delivery and collection from here. Pizzas delicious with generous toppings. Delivery was surprisingly fast and order/collection in store rather slow.
