Afeem in Daventry - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

Ordered 2 curries, the curries were basically pieces of half cooked chicken tikka thrown in to curry sauce, asked for chillis to be added and whole raw green chillis were thrown in to the mix, you could tell that this wasn’t cooked as a curry is meant to be, all ingredients are pre cooked separately and mixed around. Daventry does need a good curry place unfortunately Afeem is not it and improvment is need with cooking and quality of meat. Chicken needs to be well cooked in a wok instead of prepared tikka pieces which Afeem is passing off as chicken curry.

Food took a while to come around half an hour after the eta from the website, this is fine as its Saturday but maybe update the delivery eta on the app. Food was tasty but unfortunately it was lukewarm at best causing bajis to be soggy, had to microwave it as didn't want to wait another hour for a new order - not a big deal but a little disappointing considering the price. The bombay aloo was really good and the tikka chicken was nicely cooked (I didn't eat it) I had a veggie curry dish, the vegetables used felt like everything they had left over, as it wasn't a cohesive selection of veg, 1 potato slice, some beans some mushrooms, peas etc, veg also all very small in size too - would prefer chunkier next time 😊

Ordered yesterday 2 Sheek kebab starters, chips, tikka masala, chicken tikka balti and 2 egg fried rice. The man told me that it’s under new management and the food will be amazing, so I was looking forward to the food. When I placed the order, I asked if I could collect at 7pm and he said yes. I arrived at 5 to 7 and he told me to call him when I got out the front which seemed very weird but stated that the restaurant was being done up (so made total sense), however he said he would bring the food out. The man on the phone said that he will be 2 minutes as he’s waiting for the chips to cook. It was 10 past, I rang again and he said 2 minutes. I called again at 20 past and he said he would be 2 minutes. This point we had been waiting 25 minutes for the food when we pre ordered it at 6pm. The man said to leave a review following the meal, but at this point the food was very cold when we got back it was mediocre at best and I didn’t feel like I could be bothered to write a review, I just wasn’t going to order from there again. I’m now writing this review at 5am because both my mother and friend have sickness and diarrhoea from the sheek kebab starters. I’m not happy with the service. Im not happy that we had to wait for an additional 25 minutes following a pre-order. I’m not happy with the food and I’m especially not happy and very upset that now two people are very sick and up all night. I will not be returning. I will be calling the restaurant when it’s open to speak to the manager as this was totally unacceptable. P.S I had to give minimum of one star but honestly I would have given 0 stars.

Ordered takeout which was delivered finally after 2 hours. Missing items from our order we called up and patiently waited for a second delivery. Finally sat down to eat and food was disappointing. I ordered a Rezala, I wonder if my missing boiled egg is due on another delivery. Have been ordering from here for months, tonight the food lacked its usual flavours and that combined with the dreadful customer service led to a very disappointing meal.

lovely food but both me and my friend had food poisoning after eating here Edit in response from owner: 1. I may of left my review on a monday (can't recall the day I left the review) but I didn't eat here on the day i left my review 2. I ordered as takeaway 3. It was 100% you I ordered from, lets not pretend that you can't find an order from me, it was directly from your website on saturday 23rd july as per the order history on my account on YOUR website 4. The food was lovely at the time but it made us ill starting the day after, not sure why you cant make sense of that

Just had the most wonderful food from this New place in Daventry…. If this was anything to go by we will be coming back for more!

We're ordered from Afeem 4 times now and the food has been delivered on time, piping hot and delicious each time. The menu is huge with loads of choice - food is full of flavour and this is our go to Daventry Indian takeaway now without doubt 👍🏼

Got served pink chicken. Only noticed after eating half of the meal, had an upset stomach all night. Not good. First time ordering, and will be the last.

Best Indian food in the area. We get takeaway most weekends; deliciously tasty, authentic and friendly staff, great prices.
