Lad behind the counter was nice. Shame he was serving up something that I wouldn’t feed to my dog. We had sweet & sour chicken and terriyaki chicken both with noodles. Far too much sugar in this food. So sickly. Won’t eat that again.

8pm doesn’t close until 10. Extremely limited food. Hardly any mains and no rice. What’s the point in staying open if you can’t cater for anyone trying to purchase. Staff who didn’t care either.

Stopped en route home on a rainy afternoon. Lad behind the counter was more than helpful, chatty and very polite. Had the Katsu chicken; and yes it’s not Michelin restaurant quality but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely stop by for another

Only me to be served but the chap was too busy chatting to his pal. Eventually got served. Heard microwave ping twice which was for the chicken and rice. Katsu chicken was like rubber. Left after 2 mouthfuls. Disgusting microwaved food, never use again.

Some of the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Tastes similar to a jar of Uncle Ben's.

Honestly wanted to give zero stars. Sweet and sour chicken came from a microwaveable packet, so did the teriyaki chicken. Both tasted dreadful. Duck spring rolls… inedible. Prawns…meh. Karaage chicken bites not what they’re meant to be but the most edible out of this horrible food experience. Way too expensive to not eat most of it and have to go get McDonalds after.

Very slow service, average food. Avoid. Seemed to have lost the order and several people were served ahead of us. Seemed chaotic

35 minutes to get food and meat given instead of vegetarian. Happened to the customer is front of us as well. Honestly shameful service and quality.

The food was good but a bit expensive. Inconveniently, I found a hair in my sweet and sour chicken noodles and the lady running the place did not compensate at all and acted out of manner.

Next time I visit Watford Gap I'm going to stand in front of Chozen Noodle and rip up three five pound notes and walk away. That's basically what we did when we purchased a tub of sweet and sour chicken with rice and another with noodles. Awful. Bland, with over cooked rice that filled most of the pot. First and last time we will ever eat at Chozen Noodle.

I've just been and it was amazing. They are very kind and the red thai veg was really nice. The thai had a nice heat, I left full.

Well.. Watford Gap services is not a got too destination in anyone's book, but needs must on the way back from a boring trade show. First thought was, not another burger.... Please. Look around the corner and tucked away is a little noodle bar called Chozen. I've been to one in Maidstone and thought this would probably the same... ish. But no, I had the Katsu balls, noodles and curry sauce. Really, really nice, very aromatic sauce and the chicken was crispy, added some spicy noodles and it was a very good fast food meal. Staff were very helpful, I have a lactose intolerance, and sorted it in an instant, unlike some eateries. Hope they open one in Maidstone.

Noodles and Hoi Sin D̶u̶c̶k̶ Despair Chose this place over McDonald's as their options seemed interesting although limited. I had a meal deal and a three side deal where in total I received a standard size pot of noodles and Hoi Sin duck, 4 chicken bites, 2 spring rolls and 2 deep deep fried prawns. I did get some prawn crackers and the drink was meant to be part of the meal deal but was an additional £2.50. I was looking forward to a nice meal until the cashier told me I owed £17.25 and to which my excitement to eat was replaced with dispair knowing I was about to pay for 2 weeks worth of food in a single meal. I paid and sat down with my friends who had made the correct decision and went to McDonald's. The chicken bites were nice, the spring rolls were rather bland and the deep fried prawns were decent. However the worst part of the meal was the most expensive. The noodles were unimpressive and the Hoi Sin duck was frankly disgusting. A majority of the "duck" I received was dark, fatty, slimy skin. I began eating and each mouthful of what I wanted to be delicious, succulent duck and noodles was replaced with dry noodles and slimy, grotesque dispair. I would have asked for a refund but being British, I've channeled my disappointment and dispair into this review. I'll never go back to Chozen Noodle again. I hope the disappointment that I spent 2 weeks worth of food money on a single meal wears off quickly . Avoid Chozen Noodle at all costs. Edit: Ate the prawn crackers when we got to our destination and the taste initially was fine but very quickly the aftertaste was disgusting and it was a great send off to one of the worst take away experiences I've ever had.

Even by motorway service standards it's expensive for a cup of noodles and a very poor ho sin duck, if they said it was beef stew I would of believed them. Sorry guys

Rather typical Chinese on the go, not much choice, around 6 different dishes and some sides. If you a fan of Chinese fast food then why not? Oh and whenever I am on M1 they always were closed. Only managed to eat there once

The assistant manager, who was the only person serving, said nothing was halal rather abruptly. I came back after consulting the website but he still insisted nothing was halal and they had no certificate to offer. I wasn't fussed about the the certificate and asked if he could confirm with a collegue; he actually refused to after lying the first time by saying there was nobody else on duty. Eventually a collegue confirmed a few dishes were halal while he stood there red-faced looking as though he was ready to chant an EDL slogan at me. Chozen Noodle, why are you employing such morons?

Stopped for a break here on the way home and thought I'd try this noodle place as I had never heard of it before. The prices were really good and the options were plentiful. Food was fresh and tasted great, would definitely go to this place again.

For the last couple years, the chef had changed, and the quality took a bit of a dive...but recently, the original chef came back, and it is once again the best chinese in Daventry. Glad to have you back finally!

We had a room within the pub for a family gathering on 5th October. We had a lovely evening and an excellent buffet. Thank you to the staff and to Manager Milo who made sure everything run smoothly. Mary

Ordered 2 curries, the curries were basically pieces of half cooked chicken tikka thrown in to curry sauce, asked for chillis to be added and whole raw green chillis were thrown in to the mix, you could tell that this wasn’t cooked as a curry is meant to be, all ingredients are pre cooked separately and mixed around. Daventry does need a good curry place unfortunately Afeem is not it and improvment is need with cooking and quality of meat. Chicken needs to be well cooked in a wok instead of prepared tikka pieces which Afeem is passing off as chicken curry.

Food arrived almost cold, driver left our order on the floor by front door then rang the bell and left, he was getting in the car when I opened the door. There was no dips with the pizzas. last time I order from dominos.
