Adyans Indian Restaurant in Denbighshire

No idea what was happening in this restaurant, maybe they were just having a bad night, but we waited 30 mins before being offered drinks & 2.5 hours for food. Several people walked out & went elsewhere & we almost did too. Food was very nice once it came though. The owner also kept this restaurant open way past the 10pm curfew & had her son running round pestering the customers.

Great food, great service and charming staff. Family ran and everything is cooked fresh nothing bought in, even the starters were cooked fresh, would visit again without a doubt.

Visit Adyans restaurant every time I visit Llangollen. This year I booked for 22 people. All Covid restrictions in place. The food was amazing as always and even although they were catering for a large booking, the waitress still managed to smile all evening.Lovely friendly family run restaurant. Will definitely return.

My wife and I came in for a late dinner after a long day hiking around Snowdonia. We sat by the window and were served by the excellent Simran. Food was delicious and the service was great. Thank you Simran. Keep up the good work! All the best! Mike & Shalini.

As with any restaurant in an unknown area, you always look for previous reviews! The takeaway was easy to order, collect and tasted delicious! Def recommend if you’re looking for a night off cooking on holiday 😬

Had a take away tonight, as we do every Sunday. It was a lovely curry, can't do better than Adyan's.

Absolutely delicious! Made extra special with the young ladies efforts to deliver the takeaway by foot. She literally came running to the door! Top notch service. Will definitely be ordering again soon!:)

We ate here on recomendation of a local. The food was good and the staff where more than helpful to make sure my food didnt have any gluten in it.The only gripe we had is it was cold inside we appreciate they had just opened and it was freezing outside but maybe the owner could put the heating on a timer.The curry soon warmed us up.

We had just returned from a day out and we were looking for an early evening meal. The restaurant was open but was cold and it took a while to warm up. Having said all that the meal was very good and reasonably priced.We had starters and the main dishes were spicy but not hot and full of flavour. (try the Chicken Makni) I particularly liked the peshwari naan bread.So a nice meal - we would assume that Aryans would get busier as the evening wore on, but we would use it again when next in the area.

Service was very fast, food was absolutely incredible and loved every bit of it! We will definitely be returning, thanks!! P.S thanks for the rose for my gf (i forgot haha)

Best curry around. Came for dinner with friends and the freshly cooked food is absolutely amazing. The service is fantastic we all throughly enjoyed the evening. Yes the decor could do with an update but I’ve been in worse that’s for sure. Will definitely be back when I’m next in town

Just wanting to write an honest up to date review for January 2020, we have eaten here over 20 times and can genuinely say that the food is excellent, all staff are attentive and give there upmost attention to not only us but to all customers I have seen this with my own eyes!. I always believe pictures say a thousand words, in this modern world when you read the negative comments across all social media about food, why not take a picture and put it online of there “bad experience”... quite simply because it’s a fake review! Please see my photo from my meal last night which was amazing!!!!

Stopped at this restaurant as recommended by a friend, I have text them telling asking how they could do that to me, My wine glass was dirty with someone else’s lipstick and the cutlery was awful my fork had some food between the prongs, I noticed this before the drinks were ordered, The food wasn’t great I’ve had better from the meal deals at Asda very disappointed Won’t be visiting again

Reviewed this place not long ago and commented how it had a hair in the food and how I felt too polite to say anything so therefore just didnt!! Decided to give the place a go since the owner who has 0 customer service skills decided to say I was lying and I didnt find a hair or that the food wasnt just a load of old microwaved slop.I appreciate they have their regulars who are loyal however I am pretty glad this is not our local. Decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and try it out again. Much to my surprise I had the same issue as the first time. There was excess water around the curry and the rice was just dry micro rice. What the hell. How is it still open. Most awful indian I've ever had. Also whatever rubbish the owner replies back about me not visiting or me being wrong will just be completely bias. The place is run down. The cutlery was disgusting. Tried to get the waiters attention to explain the problem and was pretty much told it was my fault and then walked away from. The place is awful and the customer service is worse. The most expensive microwaved meal ever. Save your money and just eat from the smelling bins outside. Probably be a lot tastier!!

The lovely decor and environment are somewhat spoiled by obvious lack of knowledge of spices and herbs. I myself hail from an Indian background. It was the worst example of tandoori chicken that I have ever eaten. It was just a thigh not pink meat as t is supposed to be with the colouring of tandoori and tasted pretty awful too.Other meals ordered were bland. If others enjoy this place it is because they are eating without knowledge. An expensive waste of time.

Excellent meal, as always beautifully Cooked. Small family business they will change dishes around to suit your taste nothing is too much to ask for.Very kind and friendly we have been going for quite sometime now and food consistently good. Prices very reasonable.

My mum and I visited Adyan after working the weekend at Llangollen food festival. This was the second year in a row we visited, and we couldn’t be more blown away by the food. We are caterers ourselves, and honestly couldn’t fault anything about the whole place. The food was stunningly delicious, the service was friendly and the chef was accommodating to our requests. Even the music in the restaurant was great. I’ve had many, many Indians and this is by far the best I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to go back next year.

Our waiter was lovely. We had our two curry loving children with us and the restaurant were happy to make smaller portions so they could have different mains.

I went to this restaurant with my friends and I had some curry. It was absolutely delicious, and we all had a lovely time. The owners were very nice and friendly. I really recommend going there to have some authentic Indian food. The interior inside was very pretty as well. I will definitely go back there soon.

Travelled up to Langollen from Southampton for my sisters wedding. After having spent 9 hours in the car... yetting lost a few timesand arriving after 9pm we were tired and hungry... we could find no where to eat until we happened upon this lovely little gem. Despite the fact it was near closing, they warmly welcomed us in and settled us quickly with drinks. Turnaround from order to delivery of the food was prompt, service was friendly and accommodating, and I can heart on hand say it was one of the yummiest Indian meals I have had in a long time. The Saag Aloo... OMG... delish

Had a curry that felt microwaved and was very watery, chicken was chewy. Feel a little bad putting this as the man who served us was lovely. Being a typical englander I felt too awkward to say that the reason i left my food is that I found a black hair in it as well. It has excellent reviews so hoping I could return in the future and there would be improvement

Really helpful and lovely staff answered my questions and went out of their way to look after us. Food was delicious and exactly the right hotness after discussing it with the lady who served us. Will definitely be back!

Just visited on a day trip to Llangollen with wife and 2 small children, restaurant was very clean, service excellent and the food was lovely. Very reasonable prices too and the staff were extra helpful with us booking a taxi back to the campsite we're staying at, trying 6 different firms due to a lack of available cabs! Would definitely recommend.

Food was ok . Starters nice . Chicken Tikka Massala tasted like Tomato soup on the mains. Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi my husband enjoyed. Staff were very nice . Restaurant minimalist. Ladies toilet poor shabby / not the best could do with an overhaul

Very nicely decorated and very clean, The food was excellent and the service very good. My husband and I eat at a lot of Indian restaurants and this was in the top 10. We expected it to be very busy on a Thursday night whilst the Eisteddfod was on but apparently there are no pass outs from the venue so the restaurants don't seem to benefit in the evenings

Decided to try here as could see new owners had taken it over, as our last experience in the previous Indian restaurant was horrendous! We were greeted with a warm welcome from staff, service was excellent throughout our visit, food was served hot and tasty, the only couple of things that stopped us giving it 5 out of 5 is that we felt the decor inside the restaurant still needed work, with it appearing dark, tired and dingy, also they had recycled the previous restaurants menu covers with their name on the menu covers which wasn’t good for the sake of a spending a couple of pound to replace, hopefully they will improve on these areas and it will become an excellent firm favourite Indian restaurant within the area.

Visited on a Saturday night, two couples. Fantastic food and service, Simran was outstanding throughout. Definitely would go back.

Came here with some family. Really nice and tasty food! We had a Jaypur Chicken and Chicken Balt Mossala which was new to us but it was a choice we didn’t regret! Would definitely recommend you try this place out. The staff are fantastic and very friendly.

Highly recommend going to this restaurant!! An key asset of Llangollen. All of the food I ate was extremely delicious! The perfect balance between spicy and flavourful. As a vegan it is extremely difficult to find items off the menu that are suitable, but here it was extremely easy!! There was lots of options to choose from as well.

Dear reviewers, I have had the privilege in travelling the world eating in some of the worlds greatest restaurants to the Burj al Arab to the Versace Restaurant on Miami Beach, having moved locally the hospitality from this small family run restaurateur is personal and the food made to a quality which I know is high standard and freshly made. I think anyone who reads reviews knows that this is the type of review to read and take notice of, all I can say is thank you once again for a staggering meal and we will be coming back time and time again. Thank you Colin and Ellis.

Our large family gathering of around 30 people booked in at short notice. With so many people all arriving at once it must have been a real headache for the staff. But they were brilliant. Once they had managed to squeeze us all in (despite having to occasionally squeeze themselves past errant kids - and adults! - blocking their route) they served up wonderful food. The was excellent service and all the staff delightful.

I have been coming to Adyan’s ever since it had opened. The food is fantastic - can’t fault it. The service is wonderful, everybody is so friendly and you can see that they really do care. Meeting little Adyan is always a pleasure. Highly recommended. Do visit this gem when you are in Llangollen.

Great meal and service. In area on holiday so a wonderful find. Had a good laugh with the waitress and thoroughly enjoyed the "fitted" rice brought about by too many beers and poor eyesight. 😀

I have regularly visited Adyans for some time and happily continue to. Father and daughter, Shefa and Simran are very welcoming. If you fancy something not on the menu, just ask, we regularly ask Shefa for his recommendations for something off-menu or for tweaks to existing dishes.

We came here a few years ago when it was Simla so thought we would see if it was as good! It was and we had fabulous food, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lovely friendly staff and the food is amazing. We had the chicken tikka and tandoori chicken. The chicken was lovely and moist and served at the table on a sizzling skillet. Would definately recommend and will vist again!

There is one thing stopping me posting a very good rating for Adyans...and that is the quality of the chicken used in the meal. The chicken had a synthetic texture and was bland. No chef would cook chicken like that and I can only assume it is the underlying quality of the ingredients.

We had a lovely meal at this great little find in llangollen staying in hotel just round the corner for the weekend so just short walk for us to enjoy a realy good meal even let me take some away as I could not Finnish it all as good portion and so tasty even better later on would definitely recommend you find this restaurant if in llangollen

Nothing too much trouble. Biryani was massive, couldn't eat it all. Spiced naan wasn't T all spicy but tasted nice all the same very soft naan.

I travel the country and have tasted a lot of Indians. However, I have always returned to Adyan's for the past so many years. The atmosphere, and the staff are wonderful as well as friendly, not to mention the food which is exquisitely delicious. The price is reasonable. Good price means good quality. Once you taste the food, you won't stop coming.

8.95 for 6 pieces of chicken tikka nothing else included. My curry tasted like it was out of a jar gloopy and runny on the plate with some onions added (probably so it didn't look like it was out of a jar!). Very expensive and poor quality. Complained and was given half the price of the meal back. Wasn't worth half. Definitely won't be returning.

Not much meat in any of the dishes and the biryani was a lame attempt..... not much choice on the menu .

Great staff but unfortunately the Indian cuisine is not up to standard. Pretty bland and salty. The naan breads were also not amazing. Obviously this is all personal preference but if you want amazing tasting Indian I wouldn't advise this place.

Although not as bad as to make me want to drive to Wrexham, I was disappointed. My first choice (duck) was "off"; as were all the naan and other breads. My prawn dish resembled a jar of Patak sauce with half a packet of prawns thrown in. However, my wife's chicken and cheese dish was good. The vegetable dishes were also good and good value for money.

Had a meal here last night, the restaurant itself is fairly basic and no frills but the food I had was excellent and very good value. The Waitress was friendly and good at her job. No hesitation in recommending it and I will happily use it again the next time I'm in Llangollen

We ended up here without having booked as we thought the 'other' Indian was still trading. Serendipitous as this place was excellent. Not BYO but wine/beer reasonably priced and food & service excellent. Rarely does the chef come out to answer questions. Definitely recommend.

We had food and drinks In this Indian restaurant last week. The food was lovely and service was astounding especially the young lady who was serving she was so polite and even though busy she still managed to find time to speak us and ensure everything was ok..

The food was lovely although the onion Bhaji where a little greasy. The family are very friendly and help you with any requests. The place could do with a little tidy up and I only hoped that the kitchens were not as mouldy as the toilets. I have never seen so much mould in my life!!! But I wasn’t eating in the toilets!!!

This was the first time that we had tried the restaurant and were not disappointed. The food was very tasty and hot and the service was good. The only citicism is that they only take cash.

We where the only guests in at 2150 last night and where treated to good old fashioned Indian fair. All the food says chicken but all of the dishes where converted without question to vegetarian options. Really good tasty food. A mom and pop restaurant.

Myself and my daughter had a take away this evening which was fabulous. The gentleman who served me was attentive and very polite and the decor was clean and bright. The food was really very tasty, one of the best chicken chilli masalas I’ve had for a while! Well done Adyans, your just when Llangollen needs!

Llan has always suffered from a lack of quality takeaways: River Dragon is ok, but Samirah was below par and Simla (as this place was was no better) So we always opted for Abul’s (Corwen) or iJazz (Wrexham) - the fact we were willing to travel these distances should tell you something.

We chose to eat late so most pubs had finished serving food so we chose this place as it was still open. Glad we did as the food here was delicious and reasonably priced. Very friendly waiter who recommended well and was attentive. We visited the day after the bank holiday so this may explain why the restaurant was very quiet. Really fresh poppadoms.

We visited as part of a large group of 16, and we were spread out across 3 tables. We decided that we would order poppadoms and mains, with no starters, as we had planned on going for a drink after.

Chicken Rangoon and Jalfrezi and the latter did look tandoori’d which was good. Service friendly but it was fairly empty so a but lacking in ambience. (The day after the Bank Holiday). Serves Cobra (its competitor isn’t licensed but you can byo) but if you’re half way through the ODP and want a curry it’s a good place to go.

Waited a very long time to get served even for a drink and then every course after that too. People were nice but seems the small family unit doing everything isn't enough.

This felt like a real find after trudging around all day in the bleak and pouring rain. An attractive restaurant with light and calming décor and busy when we arrived – always a cheering sign. Very good service from the waitress (I think the daughter of the house?) who managed to look after us unobtrusively but with genuine care and attention and good humour. All food cooked to order and delicious – I had the vegetarian biriani and my husband chicken tikka, murg mussalam and we shared home-made naan and samosas. The vegetable curry with the biriani was lovely and we cleared the lot. Very good value too. Would recommend.

Lovely food enjoyed every bite, enjoyed the Thali we had one meat one vegetarian. A couple of large Cobra to wash it down also not over priced. Definitely coming back when we return in December.

Very disappointing. The menu is extensive and the meals passable but not exciting. The service we received from the single waiter was not good enough. We timed the wait for a final drink and at 45 minutes gave up, just about the same time a table of 4 left because of the lack of service, where as a table of 3 were immediately served ahead of them. This restaurant seriously needs to think about recruiting more staff especially on the weekend.

The simla has now been taken over by new owners. Menus still say simla inside, so I'm guessing it's a fairly new thing. The food was good. Service a little slow, as the guy was on his own and it quickly filled up after we got in there. Food was very nice, Currys were all delicious, rice wasn't the warmest, but overall it was a good meal. Would come back again.
