Adria in Oxford

Went here for pizza, which was absolutely delicious (thin base, with generous toppings - which I prefer). The staff were very friendly and attentive. Went with 2 babies, and the staff were fab - even when one of the babies got a little cranky. Highly recommended - especially as a child-friendly place.

Fantastic pizza, lovely interior. Friendly staff. Was here on a two day trip only but would 100% recommend. Best pizza I’ve had for a long long time.

This has changed location a few doors down - and the food is excellent. Great pizza (best in Oxford) and excellent pasta dishes. Also great for gelato and a great place to get proper ice cream in headington

Very disappointing meal and service. The two people running the restaurant were more interested in each other than serving the customers. The waiter was extremely awkward and it seemed like it may have been his first day. I ordered the Napoletana pasta. Small portion- came out cold. The sauce tasted like a jar of Dolmio and was so salty it was like being hit in the face with with an ocean wave. Completely inedible. No check back done by either of the staff, even when the bill was brought over. I told the waiter the pasta was salty (so much so it made my tongue go funny) and he just said “ok” then “oh I’m sorry about that” Would not recommend.

I’ve been here before but when they were in a smaller building next door. This news place is lovely, spacious and has a nice feel to it. The staff are lovely and I found them to be quite attentive. Pizzas were tasty and no complaints there. Toilets however need to be addressed, there is no lock on the door which I found quite extraordinary and no hand soap which in a restaurant I found to be quite unacceptable.

I wanted to have a treat for myself after longtime. Then i thought i will try this place . I rather go to take away at domino's. The place inside is nice but when it comes to service .... no comment. I cant blame the girl she's definitely not qualified for tjat job . I asked a glass of wine : she didnt even knew how to open a bottle of wine 🍷. It took her 10 min to open it , didn't let me taste it . After 10 min i tried it and a valpolicella 3 cru 2017 tasted as vinegar so i told her . No reaction so i decided to ask her what she was planning to do ? She was hiding at the back of the bar texting her boyfriend. While im writing this review im still waiting for a reaction : nothing. I ordered a pizza: tastless a 4 chesse and lacking salt : how it is possible:(? NEVER AGAIN . As a french Italian raised by Italian believe the worse pizza ever in my life . See you at dominos

Visited with ate delicious pizza but could not really recommend for eating in. The attention of the staff was focused on the takeaway business. A very pleasant man served us but he had no idea about how to wait at table. We had two rounds of drinks but bottles and plates were all left on the table even after the kids were served their icecream. After eating, I waited 15 minutes for a staff member to vacate the toilet, to find the ceiling light doesn't work. Didn't fancy peeing in the dark. Front of house were unperturbed so I left legs crossed and hurried home.

I came on visiting a friend last week-end. The area is lovely as it has an outside sitting area, but thats about it. The service is slow. The waiter doesn't know manners and doesn't know a word of italian. Cutlery were stained of dirt. The menu has stuff such as garlic pizza and chicken on pizza that would horrify anyone that knows a single thing about Italy and italians. The pizza was half burned, incredibily salty and full of a query cheese.. Not known, as doesn't really look and taste like mozzarella despite this is declared on the menu, I doubt these are first quality ingredients. We felt like we were scammed by all the Italian flags and the word "italian" as we thought we found an authentic place but we will be avoiding such places next time.

Have lived in Headington for awhile and finally got round to coming here…..I am sorry we hadn’t been sooner. Had garlic bread and cheese garlic bread to start, the cheese garlic bread was particularly nice. For mains I had the salsiccia manzo pizza, my son had the pepperoni pizza and my daughter and partner both had pasta dishes, one Napoletana and one Trio formaggio. All main dishes were excellent and all our plates were empty when we finished. For dessert we had two chocolate cakes and two lemon cheesecakes, which were also really good. Service was efficient and friendly and the main waitress/owner(?) went out of her way to find out if the chocolate cake had any nuts in it, has my son has a nut allergy. Well worth visiting and highly recommend.

Unfussy with a clear focus around their pizza, focaccia and pasta menu, this is a key part of the Headington food scene. The staff keep that unfussed, calm atmosphere going with good amiable service.

We tried here for the first time recently and it won't be the last. Lovely Pizzas, very good service and reasonably priced. Pepperoni and Vesuvio Pizzas were or choice and we will be returning. Please do give them a try you won't be disappointed.

Lovely restaurant, staff friendly, nice prices, food delicious. Make an amazing garlic Mayo, they didn’t have any at the time so whipped us some up specially. :-) if we’re not eating in then we order pizzas always to take away. Pasta and pizza delicious

Straightforward, properly made pizza that's full of flavour on a good crust, served quickly and cheaply. It's more of a cafe than a restaurant, but they're open late and serve beer so pop by if you want a slice of European cafe culture.

Pizza in Adria is the best pizza so delicious i can say not just in Oxford all in England the owner always very welcoming my kids they love her,now for locked down always fast delivery thank u Adria we really enjoyed the food

We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed great coffee and the best vegan chocolate torte - creamy and rich.

Soy de Italian Origins y mi pareja es italiana. Debo decir que la pizza de Adria es muy fresca y sabrosa, una vez que pruebas la pizza de allí es muy difícil comer pizza de cualquier otro lugar. ¡Debe intentarlo! ¡Buena calidad y precio! ! Sugiero la pizza Funghi con queso de cabra extra.

We had takeaway pizza and salads from Adria a couple of times during this lockdown and I must say the food was lovely. I'm looking forward to trying the ice-cream too once we're allowed out.

We ordered pizzas to be delivered via Deliveroo. Really nice, authentic, Italian style pizza. Once Covid19 has pushed off we'll definitely be up for a sit down meal! Thank you for cheering up my family during a bit of a grim time.

After a long day travelling this was my first stop. Pizza was very tasty and coffee was delicious. Reasonably priced. Would recommend.

We have eaten twice here in the last week, lunch time, just a 10 min walk from John Radcliffe Hospital. Different staff on the two occasions yet the same excellent food and friendly service. Best pizza and best pasta dishes we have eaten since visiting Italy years ago. Good food at very acceptable prices.

The staff were very helpful. There was 10 people party to look after. The food was prepared and cooked while we waited which was not long. The pizzas and the Pizza sandwiches were tasty. Would recommend.

Ordered several pizzas for a birthday celebration. Thin, authentic Italian pizzas. Tasty toppings which were well received. Would use them again.

Lacks some personality but is well priced and makes excellent pizzas. Ice-cream is OK by UK standards but don't expect some amazing Italian gelato.

Best pizza in Headington by far. Sometimes a tad of a wait but well worth it. Never eaten in but the take out is great so no need to doubt that the eat in would be even better

Came here after work one day for a quick dinner and absolutely loved it. Though it is quite unassuming from the outside, the pizza is magnificent and very good value. Service was extemely welcoming and efficient, we have been a few times now and will definitely be back. The homemade gelato is a real treat, especially the coffee flavour.

I am a geneticist at a hospital in the area and met a friend here for a date/coffee as it seemed authentic and I feel a moral obligation in supporting small businesses. Unfortunately on this occasion and from the perspective of a coffee artisan, to receive and pay for the coffee I ordered when I got the attention of the lady who was serving us (she seemed heavily engaged in conversation with what seemed to be the manageress on several occasions) and served us completely different coffee from what we ordered. My date/friend really didn't enjoy her coffee because it was not what she asked for but we decided to bite the metaphorical bullet, pay and leave. I haven't returned since and I am quite disappointed as the other reviews on here seem to indicate different, unfortunately I don't see any excuse for serving a customer the wrong kind of coffee and the business etiquette leaves much room for improvement.

Second time visiting here after work for coffee. I enjoyed my flat white but would have liked the option of having sweetener instead of sugar.

Take away pizza, superbly hand crafted and certainly unspoiled by time; but definitely well worth the wait.

I've been going to Adria's Pizzeria for their homemade ice cream for about a year. The opening hours suit my lifestyle and it's nice to wind down at the end of the day with scoops of my favourite flavour of gelato (banana). There are always at least twelve varieties on offer and in the summer months, when Adria opens later in the evening, they can have up to eighteen flavours.

The pizza here is so delicious - I am very fussy about me pizza! Excellent service, and great coffee. Prices are extremely reasonable too. Highly recommended!

There is lots of choice if you want pizza in Headington. For the last couple of years my favourite has been the Sole Luna pizza van which comes round on Friday evenings. However the pizzas myself and my daughter were served at Adria Pizzeria at the weekend were even better (and a little cheaper) and it is now officially the holder of the Best Pizza in Headington title!

There are quite a few pizzerias around in Oxford now - most of them part of one chain or another. This one is different. It is a one-off and a very good one at that. Every pizza and pasta dish is made to order with freshly prepared ingredients. You can see the chef in the kitchen spinning the pizza dough, chopping the toppings and the flavours and freshness really do make a difference. In my view, these are the best pizzas in Oxford.

Right at the end of my road, never tried it until Friday evening- very tasty reasonably priced pizza, great selection and nice environment inside. Won’t ever bother with domino’s again.

I've truly never had pizza this good outside Italy. And they make ice cream too – the strawberry's divine. Even the latte was good!

This quickly became a favourite with the kids when it opened with the best ice cream range in Headington, but this is now cemented by the addition of pizza.

Pizza and gelato, what's not to love? Gelato is made fresh daily; try the hazelnut when it is available. Genuinely fantastic food, exactly what you'd want in a local caf. The pizza is hands down the best we've had in Oxford and much better than rather overrated alternatives available elsewhere. The menu isn't extensive but what they do at Adria, they do very, very well.

Lovely little family owned cafe in Headington and the ice cream is to die for. All homemade and simply wonderful true Italian ice cream. So much vanilla in it ... heaven! Also serves gorgeous pizza. Great place go you won't be disappointed!

Great Pizza, lovely thin crust and delicious tomato topping of the funghi pizza that I had.

Headington has many cafes and a couple of places for good ice cream and this place is no less. Only recently opened and now serves pizza too, this cafe / eatery has a nice outdoor sitting place. It's a very busy place after school but that just shows its a welcoming place even for noisy children. In the day though it's quite and the service is slow but I enjoyed my ice cream sitting watching the busy world go by. One down side is that inside it's a bit poky so there's no space for a buggy but that's OK I just left mine outside.

Small menu but pizzas available are really delicious. Thin base and fresh ingredients. Would recommend if you fancy a tasty light bite in the evening.

Nice new place very stylish decor. Good coffee very friendly service. Tried the pizza and its up there with Marios and Mama Mia.

I'm glad Adria's has opened up near me. It's got a great couple running the place, friendly and prompt service too.

Great ice cream shop with a really friendly owner. 16 different ice creams to chose from and these change each day. I really recommend the Mint Choc Chip and excellent Italian style coffee. Perfect for taking young children with comfy seats, perfect for them to sit on and enjoy a tub or cone of ice cream. Great addition to the cafes and restaurants in Headington. Will be back to try their Pizza soon.

This is by far the best ice cream I have had in Oxford, highly recommended! The staff is really friendly as well and are very good in recommending new flavors! I go back almost every day :)
