This was our first visit here today and will not be our last. The staff were really friendly. The food was freshly prepared and cooked when ordered. A varied menu, from full English breakfast to burgers to home prepared lasagne. Delicious smoothies and cakes.... and not expensive. Give it a go....

Lovely, welcoming cafe, sunny afternoon, fantastic Late, wonderful manager, telling all about the very expensive maintenance of the garden area in front of the shops. So customers keep going, very pleasant Monday afternoon after a brisk walk around the estate following a visit to friends, we do not live locally but always call, thankyou

Looks and feels like a pub, with comfy seating and fireplace, but the food was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Had a great meal here.

I went with my friends and partner to watch the England v Spain game. Sadly England lost but the atmosphere was still great in there. The land lady made sure she found a seat for everyone, grabbing the garden chairs from the back and rearranging the tables so everyone could get a glimpse of a goal. When the match was ending, all of the tables were given a bowl of roasties to share on the house. The land lady was chatty and kind. The staff were also really nice. It is a small pub on the edge of romsey but I would definitely go there again.

Disappointed. Didn’t pay attention to the online order. I can’t eat fish so we ordered a battered sausage and chips and a separate fish for my partner. No idea why but they put this fish with the chips and not the sausage so now I cant eat any. Offered a free chips but don’t want to have to go back for it. Won’t make sense to some people but please pay attention to how things are ordered as they are ordered that way for a reason.

Stoped here overnight on the way to Cornwall. Great pub food was amazing although kitchen did run out of things quite early. No sausages and only 6 people at breakfast. Bar staff were friendly and helpful, room was very comfy and had the biggest bath I've ever seen.

Book ahead as it gets busy! Booked Sunday lunch for 6. Arrived at 12 (our booking was for 12.15hrs) and front door still locked. Whilst waiting we admired the Snowdrops in the car park. Friendly greeting on entry. Food took a while to come out and whilst waiting were told we'd need to vacate by 2.30pm as they needed table for another sitting. Very pleasant young lady but timing off as we'd not had food yet! Would have been better to have notified in booking email or SMS beforehand in my opinion. We had 3 turkey, 1 beef and 1 pork Sunday lunches, plus fish & chips. The food was piled high and meat plentiful. Nice fresh veg and huge home made Yorkshire pudding with plenty of gravy. A couple of pieces of meat overcooked slightly but the rest was tender. Roast potatoes not crispy enough but generous portion. Entire meal was not piping hot but just about warm enough. Fish and chips look anaemic but fish cooked ok. Batter not crispy enough. Very pleasant surroundings and ambiance. Open fire and comfy seating by entrance a nice touch. Our table overlooked beer garden which looked lovely in sun and would be great in Summer months. Overall it was pleasant enough but had high expectations and it wasn't quite up to those. Three people had puddings, Eton Mess and Lemon tart, which they enjoyed very much.
