Adolpho's in Moray

I used to come here once a week when the last owner had the business , I came to the shop for my supper on Monday night , the staff didn’t seem to know what was going on , and seemed like they didn’t want to be there I had a simple order but still got asked 4 times what I had ordered got my food and wasn’t impressed with it at all ! Not up to the standard it used to be ! Will not be returning

The shop looks tired and dated. The staff look untidy and grubby. Food was inedible. Batter was tasteless and very thin. Chips were dry and tasteless. All the experienced friers seem to have left.

Under new management the service has really deteriorated. My curry sauce was basically water from an order two months ago, tonight's was far too thick. Maybe under the circumstances it might be easy to forgive, but completely forgetting my wife's order tonight without a refund makes this the last time we'll visit.

Went in tonight and the place was so busy but the staff were so friendly. They said might be a wait which was totally understandable given it was out the door. I wasn't waiting very long atall given the circumstances. My whole family (6) had nothing but good things to say. The chips were cooked to perfection. All our food was amazing. My kids are asking when we can go back. I must say how nice and friendly the staff are. Under the stress and busyness they all still had smiles on there faces which is so nice to see. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and nice to see all staff get along so well. Was clear to see a great team together! Well done guys! Hope to see you all very soon!

Omg terrible food soon as u walk in the door greeted by lady with no uniform on and bra an armpits showing also French false nails missing defo no health an hygiene in this place now the place has gone down hill since last time I was there also chips not cooked properly and haggis was cold in middle

Veggie burger & chips was very good. It was the first time i had a battered veggie burger, and it was nice to see a veggie option on menu. The new owners are keen to trial more vegetarian options they told me, and this a good thing. The chips were nice and crunchy on the outside - as they should be. I tried the home made coleslaw and it was very tasty.

Worst looking chips ever. Dry reheated chips that went in the bin.Then batter on the white pudding was awful.Wont be going again.

Partner went in to order, was left standing for like 10 mins without acknowledgment had to ask them if he could order. Order was finally made, on collection of order partner was giving a supper which was fine and then just a batter burger without bun or cheese, even though he asked for a single battered cheese burger. Usually this place is great however past few times when it’s youngsters working there’s always a problem.

Never had a problem the few times I’ve been before and ordered chicken fillets... but this was a fish supper! My child eats bigger portions than this! Disgusting that I paid around £6 for this! Husbands was the same. Won’t be back! Absolute daylight robbery!

I definitely wouldn’t return here, the chips were soggy yet under cooked, the chicken was hard to bite into and the flavour wasn’t nice at all.

Very expensive for the kids fish suppers - you'd be as well getting a full size one. The fish itself was nice enough but the batter was really thick and soggy and not nice. Staff were friendly and the chips fine enough.

Very small portions compared to other chippys in Elgin! Definitely not what I expected for the price

Average chippy, just watch your change if you buy something from here! They seem to think everyone has come out of the pub next door so will over charge or short change you!

Adolpho’s chippy is by far the best chippy in Elgin. Fish supper & chicken supper’s are fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great munchie.

I just got a reminder of why I haven't been to Adolphos for years. On Tuesday we bought £3.40 of chips to go with our chicken. Without doubt they were reheated and were disgusting. Won't be back until I lose my memory.

It won't get much better that this a fish supper cooked to perfection Eaten from the box and washed down with a bottle of Murray cup Spot on

Portions are great in this elgin takeaway. (Other chippy,s take note !), the staff are friendly ,make you welcome and serve up quickly. If in the area this is the place to get your suppers.

Las porciones de aquí son las mejores de la zona, más que tu dinero. Todas las cenas son sabrosos y el personal es amable. Yo soy de Lossiemouth (7 km) para llegar mis patatas fritas aquí como los chippies en lossiemouth no están a la altura con Adolfos.

The first impressions of Adolpho's is nothing special but the service was very speedy and really enjoyed my meal of battered burger and chips. I found the prices to be reasonable.

He parado de trabajar para comprar algún pescado y patatas fritas y decidimos coger una porción de aros de cebolla. Para mi gran asombro me entregó una pequeña caja contiene 4 muy pequeños aros de cebolla, que no eran casero pero los baratos que puedes comprar en el departamento de congelador de una tienda de comida. De todos modos me cobraron 1,40 libras para los 4!! que s 35 p a Ring . pregunté si había sido un error y que se les olvidó poner el resto de pero nos dijeron que no era correcto y me dió tanta vergüenza salí de la tienda. Cómo hacer estas personas escapar estafaba gente como éste.
