Adian's Tropical Fusion in Birmingham

Although slightly overpriced and plastic dishes, the food is well cooked with good flavour. Not completely the essence of Caribbean cuisine but tasty all the same.

I had jerk salmon and it was dry and the mack and cheese had no flavouring to it didn't like it and the black lady who runs floor was rude over a chair saying you need to get up and move to different table and was rude how she said it.

I was really excited to dine at Aidians with my girlfriends, however on arrival we was greeted by a young man, he escorted us to the middle table of 4 seats. I noticed that some booths were available. We asked courteously whether it was possible to move to a booth as availability was noted and one of my friends had disability. The man said no we couldn’t have as they have been reserved. We asked how would u reserve these tables in the future because we paid our deposits 💁🏾 he proceeded to walk away. Anyhow we spoke amongst ourselves . We couldn’t make sense between us. This man returned back a few seconds later to throw in his 2 scents in an aggressive attitude, to say BY THE WAY IT DOES MAKE SENSE because ………,,,,,. He still never made sense and we were dumb struck, we were shocked and confused that he had the audacity to turn back with an argument when we weren’t even talking to him. The food had zero flavour, I have been here a few times and never had a problem. There could be more vegetables on the plate which I have had previously. I will not be returning due to the dissatisfaction.

Eveytime I come I enjoy my food however lastnight the presentation of the food on the plate needs some work . The fries are poor cheap quality I think they can do better for the price... the cocktails I didn't enjoy as they were way too sweet.

To reiterate what is stated in a number of other reviews, the service is woeful. The food is fine but you are eating out of a converted office space, and the price of the food does not reflect the setting

Adian’s is a lovely restaurant that left a lasting impression on us. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a delightful and attentive waitress whose name, unfortunately, escapes me. Her exceptional service added a personal touch to our dining experience, making us feel well taken care of throughout our meal. The food at Adian’s was simply delicious, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The cocktails were equally impressive, so much so that I drank them before taking any pics! (2 for 1 as well!). Highly recommend.

Superb food, and excellent friendly service...

I’m not one to usually write reviews but I feel this restaraunt deserves its flowers. The atmosphere is really nice and chilled with the perfect ambience as the old school r&b plays. The food is of exceptional standard, the chef is doing an amazing job each dish was ten out of ten. I had the lamb cutlets which were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The cocktails had a great selection for happy hour which was nice as we were celebrating a birthday. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service. There’s nothing I could say to fault this restaraunt and it’s a must visit.

Fabulous meal! I’m visiting from Canada and was excited to try tropical fusion. I was not disappointed. The jerk chicken is smoked, tender and fall off the bone. The ribeye steak medium rare was perfectly cooked with a flavourful peppercorn sauce. I paired it with rice and peas, plantains and mixed veg. All were generous portions and seasoned well. You have to try the sweet potato croquettes! Lightly crispy with a pairing of two sauces that elevate the taste profile of the croquettes! The wine list is small but had a delicious Malbec and the cocktails ❤️❤️❤️. Try the haliconia it was delicious! Service was amazing with the talented server/mixologist Trish. Special shout out to Chef Adian for a truly outstanding meal and dining experience.

I've been following the Chef on the Gram for a while and finally had the opportunity to take my beasties to try it out. I did not like it.....I LOVED IT!! The food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing and I left there happy and full! I would definitely return!

Attended for a birthday buffet price was £35, not much of a choice, was only allowed one half of a chicken wing (niblets) don’t eat rice, small spoon of macaroni cheese, thinking the other container had fried chicken? It wasn’t , it was coated fish? What if I had a fish allergy? I would bet lucky if I had £10 worth of food. So I then thought I’ll have a dessert, server stated it cost £8 for a slice of cheese cake, we stated that it is advertised at £5 on line, he went away came back and said that if you had pre ordered? Although it does not state that anywhere, so I didn’t have that either. I went there hungry and left there hungry. When we went to get our food the floor was wet informed the server but he did nothing about it, health and safety out the window there, the server had such an blank face not once did he smile or acknowledge individuals not welcoming at all. I would not recommend this place.

Our family had the pleasure of celebrating my Dad's 80th birthday there last night (15/03/24). Before the event I had to contact them several times to make little changes and to ask for information and each time it was a great experience. On the night we had a great welcome by the waiting staff and our coats taken (22 people including children) and nothing we asked for was any trouble. We were served their buffet option due to the size of our group but this was no less that what is offered on their a la carte menu. The taste and quality of the food was excellent. Absolutely fantastic. My Dad is a fussy Jamaican man and he was so happy with his meal as were the rest of the family. The food was plentiful, hot and served to us by lovely staff again. Drinks were brought to our tables and no request was too large. We also got to take all the remaining food home with us which is almost unheard of when you go to a restaurant. So, thank you to everyone at Adian's for a wonderful evening celebrating and for your fantastic service and delicious food. We will be back 1000%!!

The food was wonderful. The chef Adian is phenomenal and Javel was brilliant. One of the best restaurant to eat at and be 100% completely over the moon.

Honestly, this restaurant deserves a Michelin Star! Me and my husband had a date night at Adian's Tropical Fusion. The music was relaxing, not loud. The food was better than the Shard in London whete we'd eaten on Tuesday! You know when you see people on TV really savouring the food and you wonder if it really tastes that good? Well, this food gives you that exact feeling, where you close your eyes and savour every mouthful! I can tell you that it is DELICIOUS. The beef ribs were tender and succulent, full of flavour. The breadfruit was sweet and melt-in your-mouth. The prawns were slightly spicy and delicious with a coconut sauce. I had the lobster tail with Rice and peas, my husband had sea bass and prawns which were mind blowingly superb. I can't overstate this little venue, I will be eating here many, many more times. I would like to commend the staff, they were friendly without being familiar, they knew their food and were able to advise in a very helpful and knowledgeable way.

Delicious Carabian food with a twist of fruity and spicy flavours cooked to perfection

This restaurant is a must visit a mix of Caribbean and English food is well worth it. The atmosphere was vibrant.

I had a lovely time dining at Adian’s. Food was extremely fresh with good portion sizes. Was definitely filled especially after the fantastic crumble. YUM 😋 Will definitely go again.

Food here is excellent. Really good quality and delicious. I like the twists on traditional Caribbean meals. I visited recently with a friend and we had 3 small plates for starters to share, a main each and two sides each. It was plenty of food and we had some to takeaway. The desserts are nothing to shout about. It would be good to see more options available. I would recommend this venue, great for a lovely dinner. Downsides: The decor is nice though the toilets are run down and freezing cold. The service isn't amazing for a fine dining venue, though food does arrive in good time. Parking is usually OK unless there is an event held at Legacy CoE next door then the car park is full and you'll need to find a side street.

Took my wife there for her birthday and it was the best decision I made. Great atmosphere lovely service and even better food. Highly recommended.

Adian's hosted our mum's birthday dinner party. They were very accommodating and communicated effectively over messages and calls even outside of hours. The staff were so helpful and understanding. It is nicely decorated and accessible for all. Although no one was available to greet us at the door, the staff were approachable and friendly. I would encourage more variety in vegetarian and vegan dishes especially within the buffet as meat and fish eaters have more options. Our guests were mostly pleased with their food. They had hoped for dessert to be included in the buffet price as we were not permitted to bring and cut cake for the birthday celebration. A very pleasant dining experience.

My first time here came for a buffet I paid £35 just for 2 plates of food plus they did not announce you can take food home the time i looked around nothing was left I will not be coming back felt like I was ripped off

Overall we had a great time here, the food was delicious and the cocktails tasty. The service was very quick and attentive, however I felt like the lighting was a bit harsh and didn't fit the vibe.

First time my friend and I tried Adians Tropical Dining to celebrate our 60th birthday. We were impressed decor, also with the service; the waitress was very helpful with her advice on the meals: the cocktails was lovely, and the meals we had was absolutely delicious. We return with our partners and family members. Glad we chose Adian' Dining to celebrate our birthday.

Food was ok portion size was good. Cocktails were nice. Would go back to try something else. Easy to find when using sat nav if not familiar with local area

Was here for a birthday celebration. There were two menus a la carte and a main menu as well as a drinks menu. Drinks to chose from were ok but could have been a nicer choice. Cocktails were mainly rum based, which were ok for me. We opted to chose from the a la carte but we only had main courses. Portions were a nice size. I chose the Coconut Fusion Duo of seabass and king Prwans which was delicious and came with a side of white rice. I would have liked a dessert but the choice was what I can have at other restaurants. I have been following Aidens on instagram for quite some time and I have eaten his food when he was at another restaurant some years ago and that was fantastic. I have seen what he has been creating so was hoping for that. Hoping these new and exciting dishes will be on the menu soon.

I recently had my wedding reception here at Adian's and it was perfect! All staff were friendly and made sure the bride & groom and all guest were well taken care of! The food was brilliant and very big portions. Elouise and Tisha who are the owners and event coordinators assisted me brilliantly, they were helpful and very accommodating when it came to catering to our budget and meeting all of our needs. I was able to speak with Elouise specifically throughout the whole planning process and nothing seemed too much. The overall experience was brilliant and all of my guest were very impressed with the food and service. I am looking forward to visiting again with my family. 5 Star dining! I am quite a fussy diner but I have to say I was blown away by the food. It was all so tasty and very well presented. The cocktails were some of the best I’ve had. 100% recommend and can’t wait to visit again

People kept telling me for the longest while to visit Adian's fine dining restaurant and went with my family on my recent birthday. It was truly top notch and portion sizes were ideal. The food was tastefully done and well presented.

The food was average and the overall cost for our meal blew me away because the food didn’t match the price tag. The cocktails were delicious however they could have been presented in a better glass for the price. I wasn’t really impressed with not being greeted and having to approach staff to ask about my seating not what you expect when paying upwards of £130 for a meal. I don’t feel this will be a place I would be in a rush to visit again but I do wish them the very best.

Only let down was the hosting at the time was very poor you walk in no one greeted us we just stood there thinking how does this work then?!? Walked to the bar n said we have a reservation please. I just found it really strange. Apart from that food and drinks was decent wouldnt be back in a hurry though to be honest.

Oh my goodness me what an amazing place and what a wonderful find the menu was varied and the food was delicious and the new rum was outstanding. As part of a programme we took 20 young people here and it was amazing, the staff were welcoming, polite and helpful, the food was absolutely fantastic, thank you to everyone for an amazing evening

Food is decent but unfortunately the customer service and professionalism is near enough non existent which made the overall experience less than positive. A waiter asked us ‘who’s this for’ referring to a plate, when we asked what was in the plate he said ‘I don’t know what even is it’. We also paid a deposit for 6 people, 5 people attended and instead of the deposit coming off the bill (despite the rest of the party attending) this place took the 6th persons deposit. When we came into the venue, we stood at the door for a whilst and had to seek out staff. When others attended after they were attended to straight away. If you are a business there are basic professional standards that should be promoted and we do not feel this place has that.

Excellent food, generous portions, great customer service and a great vibe going on. Definitely the place to go, especially for a special occasion. In my case my 60th birthday with my family.

The best food I've ever had at a restaurant. Everything was excellent - the food was beautifully cooked with wonderful flavours and presented delightfully. The drinks were also fabulous. Was a phenomenal experience and will have repeat visits from me. The chef was 10/10...michelin standards, and the lady serving us was also awesome. Great staff! I came here last night for a 21st bithday meal. Ive eaten at Aidans once before many years ago and it was fab but the venue had now changed and we had a buffet. Honestly I personally couldnt fault it. The food was really good, the portion sizes were great and there was even extra with containers for us to pack and take home. I had two servings of dinner and got two containers of food so im oretty impressed. I dont eat meat but apparently the lamb and the chicken was amazing. The prawns were exceptional and the coleslaw was the best uve eaten in my life! The vegan option tasted very good too! Waitress for our table was so lovely and kind, infact all the staff was lovely and kind and when I went to ask for another plate it was no bother. Lets talk about the drinks... my goodness! The Blue moon was the star of the show but I tasted about 4 different cocktails and they were all MINDBLOWING. I would say prices of drinks reasonable considering how flasy they are (mine came out with bubbles and looked fab). We also got prosecco with strawberries and that was a lovely touch. DJ was on point, music was a vibe and every song was just like yasss! Overall, I couldnt fault it. I didnt use toilet facilities so cant comment on clenliness but restaurant was clean and very spacious. Cant wait to go back!

Good food, very little appreciation for the customers experience. I attended a 40th Wedding Anniversary Celebration. I was with a medium size group of friends, we had the buffet, the food was good. The experience was not. A jug of fruit juice from concentrated box juice, that serves 4 costs £18. We were allowed to display a cake but not permitted to cut it or consume it on the premises. The customer service from front of house “Elouise” was disappointing and ruined the experience for me. Sadly I will not be returning.

I went to the resturant to celebrate my brother's birthday. I am going to be honest with my review. I ordered jerk chicken which was nice but nothing special. The menu is limited. I was hoping to order curry goat , unfortunately they don't do curry goat. The table was booked for three adults and 1 child. We order 2 lamb diner and 2 chicken dinner. We did not order any starter, or pudding. We ordered drinks but we did not received it. The person who was supposed to make the cocktail was on the buffet serving so we instead settled for water. We also did not have any pudding. Total bill came up to £110. That is for no starter, no pudding and no drinks. 10% service charge was also applied to the bill without an option to opt out. We brought a birthday cake but was not allow to cut it due to health and safety. Other people were there celebrating there birthday and they were shock to hear that they are not allow to cut their cakes. We have to take the cake back home. As for me and my family we will go to Mellows Caribbean restaurant next time.

Waited over 2 hours for the food as nice as it is staff don't know if what you ordered is there the waiting is twooooooo long redicious not going back.

Eating here is an absolute must. Everytime I come to Birmingham, it's the top place on my list. Me and my girlfriend always eat here. They're truly professional and the customer service is always great. The best part is the food. Everything is always served fresh and hot out of the kitchen. You won't be disappointed!

This has to be the best experience I have had in a Caribbean restaurant to date. The customer service was first class as was the food. Given that I’ve been to many Caribbean restaurants over the years. This stands out head and shoulders above them all so far. The manager and the team have done a great work and should be proud. I hope to see more restaurants opened in different city’s as I was travelling in at the time from Manchester for a Birthday.

Lovely looking venue inside... We had buffet style dinning which we would of expected a lot more food for the amount of people we had and the price we paid. The food it's self was nice.

I went here for my friend’s birthday and I loved it! The food was amazing, for the first time in a long while I got to eat some good breadfruit. The cocktails were delicious and the waitresses were so helpful in recommending different ones to us. The food came out in good time and was well presented. It was decorated quite well too. The only issue I had was finding it and that was due to the maps taking us to the residential part behind the drum.

So , I had waited fora while to go to this restaurant and I was not disappointed with the quality of the food presented it was amazing I am now wondering where to write my other observations !!!

Not impressed. The food was OK ish, and the staff were friendly
