I ordered a Halloumi wrap. After being served my wrap one of the two young gentlemen asked me if I was a vegetarian. I'm not (I'm a flexitarian) but for simplicity I just said yes. He then asked me if I wanted some chicken and after I said no the two young gentlemen laughed at me. I don't understand the concept of a business making stupid smarmy jokes like this to their customers. You guys clearly don't want or need my money and I'm happy to never give it to you ever again. I love the free market. I have plenty of other places I can buy wraps from. You guys can go to hell. Was served from an Acroplis truck at a different venue but it's the same business.

The best Greek food u can have in the North East and the staff is lovely

I asked for an acropolis salad with chicken and no onions. Here is the salad after I picked out all the onions! £9.50 for a scrawny ‘salad’ with a pool of water at the bottom, that was essentially shredded lettuce and tomatoes and an insane amount of onions. Incredibly overpriced and the staff generally don’t listen to what you’re ordering. I asked what the difference was between the acropolis salad and the Greek salad, to which the staff replied ‘the only difference is that you get meat’, however this wasn’t the case and I didn’t get any feta either. Very dissatisfied and I won’t be coming back.

Good little place for a quick, but tasty meal. They have a variety of Greek dishes and desserts. The gyros was succulent and flavourful and the chips deliciously dirty

I have came here a few times now, really enjoyed the food! It’s always a good atmosphere, love it, it’s in the Grainger market at the heart of Newcastle City Centre.

Staple part of my trips to Newcastle is a visit to the guys at Acropolis. 10/10. I also visit their rose street one in Aberdeen. They do get everywhere. 10/10

Wow what a find! Needed something light but filling for lunch and this place blew us away. Wraps (I had halloumi) filled to brim with fresh salad, lots of meat or perfectly cooked halloumi, tasty sauce and super soft pitta. Was served straight away and waited 5 mins for food. Worth the price tag and good seating available inside. Yum!❤️

This is a true gem of a place. I first tried their food at an outdoor event where they had one of their tents set up and from that day have been hooked Everything they sell is so delicious and cooked to perfection. So many different choices on the menu you will want to work your way through it. The Gyros or Halloumi wraps are a particular favourite of mine but the Special Fries are worth a trip here alone. Staff are so pleasant and friendly and the atmosphere here is great. So many places in Grainger Market to get good food but this has to be top of the list for me.

Food quality has gone downhill so much. We got 2 gyros from a food market and they were terrible. Minimal tzatziki, minimal meat, it was basically a salad wrap. Such a shame as previous experiences have been good

This review is for the van selling in Killingworth. They announced it will be from 5-8 pm. I got there 7:55 pm and they have finished and didn't get food. It was a long journey for me 9n bike to get disappointment instead of my order. If you advertise a specific time stick with it. I appreciate you want to close so you should have advertise accurate time.

Mixed up chips and chicken. More chips than chicken. No tzatziki but an orange coloured sauce??? I’ve had gyros all over Greece and here. Worst I’ve had.

Attentive staff, happy and friendly, Got dirty greek and 2 gyros with extra halloumi, food was fresh and plenty of it, didnt get chilli sauce on the 2 gyros as dont like spicy sauce , definitely worth a visit .

We had food delivered to our home on Saturday tea time; the food came promptly and was still hot. We ordered chicken gyros wraps; they were tasty, and the order also came with free baklava (which was the best I've tasted in a long time). Definitely recommend!!!

Just visited one of the pop up stores, for the first time. Ordered the veg and halloumi wrap. Had ONE tiny bit of halloumi in the entire thing. Not sure what happened, is this standard. Very disappointed.

Outstanding customer service, makes me feel like I’m back at Greece. Warm welcoming staff and delicious food! Only takes one visit to make it your go to spot. I’d recommend the Chicken Gyros Pita & Chalupa! They also offer a range of vegan options which my friends really appreciated.

Excellent gyros, while I have had mixed reviews from friends and family, personally I've not had a bad meal the dozen or so times I've visited. Always a great option for a filling lunch. While I haven't yet tried the full breadth of the menu, what I have had has been consistently tasty, hot and prepared quickly. Gyros can be a bit generous in filling, and would be difficult to eat cleanly on the go, but with a seat in the restaurant and some napkins they're a quality meal every time!

Ordered a chicken gyros wrap meal deal and dolmadaki. The wrap was very delicious. I liked that they didn't use a lot of sauce in the wrap.

Food used to be top notch, nowadays very average, premade and sat around. And the prices are quite steep for what you get in my opinion. The service also could be a bit more interactive rather than "next and thank you".

Bought food today from their street stall & not only did the person making the food touch the bin with bare hands then immediately make our wraps, (I wish I said something but was so shocked), still tried to eat it because it was expensive and we were starving, both my partner and myself found it to be absolutely disgusting and went in the bin. Vegan meat was like powder/dust and the chips like cardboard.

Best Greek food around. Safely cater to gluten and dairy free. Great prices. Everyone is just so kind ☺️

Nice quick service, big portions but not the highest quality of food. Meat is particularly poor and food is clearly pre made and left sat around hence the tepid temperature. Not a bad quick lunch option, very filling but price far to high given the lack of quality

Fantastic food as always and the gyro I bought on Wednesday was no different, great customer service from the Wednesday lunch time team and the chef's customer service was spot on.

Quickly stopped off at acropolis in the grainger market as I missed these guys in tynemouth food market as they had sold out 😞 well worth the quick stop I got a well made tasty chicken gyro wrap loaded with haloumi chips, yum yum. Food seemed to be made with fresh ingredients and the staff were very friendly. Easily earned 5 stars from me. Top marks. Food was gorgeous.

Absolutely bloody fantastic! First had this at Tynemouth Market, had again yesterday and didn’t have time to take a photo of the food as wanted to eat it so much. Amazing food and amazing staff, will explain all the menu and they have some good deals on the food. Really authentic flavours! Delicious!
