It's unfair as it was a one off but awful delivery experience and I know I spoke to gentleman. About this ..just eat won't take responsibility. Called to discuss and he was very polite and apologetic... However I'm now left here just apparently waiting for the owner to arrive and then will call me ..I'd hope a decision can be made for a loyal customer ( note new address) and not have this waiting for unknown amount of time when it's dinner time treat after a long day ? I'm embarrassed to call back but will wait another twenty mins max ..happy to correct the review if the right thing is done ... The person I spoke to seemed to know exactly my order and not surprised by the terrible service I received

First time ordering from here, it was delivered in a reasonable time they said. We had pizza and kebab, they both were cooked really well, and good sizes. Definitely recommend.

These guys are a joke! Placed an order via just eat app. App showed it would be 35 min. Waited an hour and then called the restaurant. They couldn't tell me how many orders the delivery person delivering to me had. Instead they tried fogging me off. Saying it normal in Brighton for deliveries to take 45-60 min! I proceeded to tell them I have now been waiting 1.5 hrs. Then he accused me of having an attitude!! Like hello??? How about an apology for the delay and let me check what's the issue is????? No instead he said he was cancelling the order 🙄. It's 11pm!! I said don't cancel it I just need to know how much longer I would have to wait! They are 1/2 a mile away from me the status of the order says it's on its way, surly 10 min??? Lesson learned avoiding this restaurant at all costs! So much for trying to support small business owners. See their attitude towards customers. Response from the owner a year ago By being respectful and attentive to our customers , but we don't serve people like you, first learn how to talk to people, I think you kept talking rudely even though I said your food was on the way, you compared London to Brighton, I said it took about 45 minutes and 1 hour for delivery today Saturday and very we were busy, your food would reach you in 50 minutes because of my attitude we didn't serve you because you don't deserve it

I bought two pizzas and they are absolutely amazing my favourite shop and I bought one doner with chips and sauces and they taste delicious I love flames

Pickled Cabbage & cucumber in a chicken burger? Also the patty was trash, tiny and straight out the freezer. Had better £1 chicken mayo’s at maccies than £5.20 for this.. was also ignored at the bar until I had to ask if they were open two times, should have left at that point.

Bought a burger very crunchy and juicy fresh lettuce and the salad i wanted in it the mayo tasted so good my favourite from there and there very kind i defently recommend.

I love Hassan and the people who work there they are very kind and amazing food they work with care I love the food and especially the kebab😋😍

Absolute joke, I ordered 3 x Kebabs through Urber eats. Ask for all of them with no salad & when they arrived they all had salad & i had to wait 1hr & a half for it to arrive! Phoned to complain & the man was just plain rude. I keep getting bounced back & forward to try & get a refund. Its an absolute joke. Don't waste ur time...

I pass this little venue fairly often. On the bus, or in a car. Like a lot of people in the post pandemic world of late night kebab-ery, I'm more likely to be using a food delivery app than actually buying over the counter in person. There are bigger, brasher, flame grilling competitors in Brighton, some of them closer than others, but when your choice of locations isn't affected by where you walk past on the way home, Flames is easily in my top two kebab places in town. Ignoring rebrands because i can't remember how long ago it was, in two or three years, only forgetting 1 can of Dr Pepper has been easily forgiven ( although obviously not forgotten... lol) by the really tasty kebabs. Hot, yummy, and quick - I mean, where else really delivers firm, piping hot chips.....? Nowhere...?

Placed an order on Uber eats, £35 worth of food waited almost 2 hours and still nothing! I can’t even contact the restaurant as no one is picking up the phone. I’m now hungry and Will not order from here again ever, what a disappointment

We live in a caravan only takeaway that delivers to us always friendly drivers and customer service always look after us if we mess up on a payment or are short never let us down if they’ve ever forgot something they always bring it back or if they have no change on them they always come straight back always use them and always will thank you to everyone who works at flames for all ur kindness and trust see you soon Highly recommend

Negative Reviewers Take Note. It appears most of the negative reviews are based on the delivery. If you live over a mile away from Flames consider Brighton's peak traffic times and if the footballs on etc by looking on Google Maps traffic congestion layer and factor in these delays, also air fryers do a great job warming up food. Before leaving a negative review consider that the Chefs actually want you to enjoy their hard work! before leaving a snide review man up and call them and speak to them first, and I'm sure they will make things right, as other food vendors have for me in the past, it's never a problem they are happy to help. Uber Eats first go with £12 off. The food arrived 15mins ahead of time! It was perfect and hot. Large Lamb Donner in an amazing sauce!, A very well stacked "12 Pizza Chicken Donna meat n Mushrooms Decent Sauce and loads of Cheese! and lovely Garlic sauce dip! (Best Pizza in the area hands down) Just perfect , after a horrible day I ate like a king! And loads left for today. I've been going to flames for a few months now and every chef is on point! So talk to chef because they will fix any problems. Very generous falafel wraps! same with the haloumi wraps when purchased outside of a meal deal. Well wrapped in catering foil and paper. Decent size meal deals, great portions always freshly cooked. Always well wrapped. And shout out to the drivers in all this nasty weather! Thanks guys!

I've relied on Flames a lot recently! Their Falafels beat 'We Love Falafel' in town hands down! way bigger way better and packed full! Even the Halumi wraps are killer! (That's good!) Decent portions! Decent Quarter pounders! , chicken strips, chef even did me a chicken kebab meat burger! All three chefs have been excellent service! Meal deals are good as well. All traditional Kebabs, Pizzas, and loads of salads and toppings sauces! fare prices.

Absolutely vile. Ordered at 7pm. Had to phone up twice. 9:30pm still not delivered. 9:45pm food arrived and is the worst quality meat I’ve had in my life, some of the chicken doner was pure lumps of fat. Couldn’t even eat it despite how hungry I was after the wait. No apology either

ordered on uber eats, food showed up an hour late, delivery driver (provided by the restaurant) was rude, and the food was so bad i couldn't eat it. chips were cold and hard, halloumi wrap was soggy and the cheese was like cold rubber

The service was poor as well as the punctuality the food never came on time and it was cold. Real disappointment because the food werent too bad after having to re-heat it.

I placed an order on deliveroo and after 2 hour of waiting I discover the shop was close. So the accepted the order and took my money and after close the shop. Terrible terrible service.

Not open till 130am turned up at midnight and told they were closed even thought the door was open and the sign said open

Delivered early and really friendly delivery driver! Food is more expensive than most places but you can definitely tell the quality, it tastes amazing! And well packaged, only downside is the portion sizes, a large Kebab isn’t that large but no complaints with the service and quality

Was in Brighton for the night so ordered a kebab and chips, kebab was awful from the salad to the burned chewy lamb it just tasted old, back home the same meal is £8.50 and excellent quality so for this £15 I’d at least expect it to taste fresh. Won’t be ordering again

Meat and pizza was really good. Chips were stone cold. My wrap has exploded all over the bag and the chips were loose everywhere in bag. Driver gets here and doesn’t have change for a £50 when my meal came to £34. Absolutely fumming! I was expecting better👌

We have ordered 2 meals with you, the first was lovely but sadly tonight was AWFUL!!!! We asked for garlic mayo on our kebabs but this was definitely NOT garlic mayo. It was Yellow with red flecks in it, it tasted like salad cream/ dressing and my kebab in particular was literally drowning in it. I can't tell how bad it was. We contacted the restaurant to be told they had definitely not made a mistake and if we wanted we could go to the shop take a photo of the container of garlic mayo and contact the manufacturer....... that's very helpful.... NOT! Our first order had garlic mayo, it tasted like garlic mayo and looked like garlic mayo. Tonight it did NOT!!!!! I will never order with you again, what a waste of £25.

We were self catering and had pizzas .... delicious. I recommend the pulled pork . The staff were lovely the pizzas fresh and hot.

Su kebab es siempre mi primera elección, carne ahumada y sabrosa con su gran porción. Llegó con una caja y con un papel para envolver la comida para evitar que goteen. Aunque podría ser un poco grasiento, no debería ser un problema. La tienda a menudo da demasiada salsa, que a menudo escojo ajo mayonesa, encima de la comida. El kebab de pollo con pan de pitta o arroz es muy recomendable.

My boyfriend and I ordered a kebab, pizza and chips to be delivered to our hotel and I don't see why this place has so many bad reviews. The delivery came on time and the food was what you would expect. So I'd recommend it.

Cold and over a half hour late. Bag was wet and torn. Food fell out. Coke was warm. Dissapointed.....

food was alright for a standard kebab shop, they were half an hour late - stating an hour delivery time before I paid, then after payment they added 10minutes more. ordered 10.03- delivery 11.03, notched it up to 11.13 as soon as I paid and submitted the order and they they were even later than that! got food at gone half 11-didn't get any form of apology. I'm sure this poor delivery guy has been running his spuds off so I didn't expect it from him, his boss needs to have a sit down and work out what can and can't be done on a Friday night. Nah mate the cheesy wedges were dead. All the cheese was stuck to the foil, and the wedges bruk up instantly on impact with my fork. Pretty leave it portion size for 4 quid and all.

The food was ok but not as good as it has been in the past, But lol at the delivery driver who was too lazy to come up to my hotel room on the 8th floor he stayed in the reception and kept asking other hotel guests who were passing through reception to come up to the 8th floor to tell me to come down telling them he was not insured to go above the 2nd floor, A lady who was also staying on the 8th floor came to let me know he was there and i came down, The bill was £21.88 including a delivery fee of £1.50 But i deducted the £1.50 delivery fee and gave the driver just £20.38 (sorry mr restaurant manager if your staff dont deliver properly all the way to my room then i will not pay for delivery) I was expecting him to ask where the £1.50 was but to my utter surprise he gives me a five pound note and coins as change so accepted this and thought will be interesting to see what happens here, around half an hour later theres a knock at my hotel room door up on the 8th floor and surprise surprise the delivery driver is back saying he thinks he has given me wrong change as got back to pizza shop and dident have enough money (interesting that he has managed to come up to the 8th floor now but could not do it earlier i can only guess he must have upgraded his insurance) Anyway not wanting to be too nasty i gave him the change back that he had incorrectly given me but still left him out of pocket the £1.50 delivery fee, Delivery driver needs to improve his customer service and deliver properly to the customers room or flat and not be lazy in this case he suffered instant Karma as the result of his actions and ended up going all the way back to pizza shop without all the money then had to come all the way back to the hotel and still had to do the very thing he was trying to avoid come up to the 8th floor plus he lost £1.50 delivery and the £1.00 tip he would have got had he delivered properly

Truly disgusting lack of customer service. The guy who served me was outrageously rude and arrogant. I have used this takeaway a number of times before, but I most certainly, NEVER will again. Definitely one to AVOID like the plague!
