Ability Cafe at The Stables in Belfast

Called in for a few paninis and a bite to eat for the toddler. The place was clean, the food was good and the staff vlwere very friendly. Will be back again!

Ability cafe Belfast Castle. The food was delicious but the service was very poor. Waited for about 30 minutes for food to arrive after watching others who ordered after us receive theirs. The member of staff informed me that the staff where busy and give me the impression that the disabled staff where finding it difficult to keep up. I can appreciate the time delay and some of the difficulties and challenges that the disabled staff might come up against and my family that were there was me have their own challenges and disabilities but why did my 2 chips and a soup come 10 minutes after other people who ordered after me receive theirs? I was given the opportunity for a refund but my family decided to take the food. At no time did anyone I talk to say I’m sorry for the delay,

Attended the Ability Cafe at the Belfast Castle today after walking up and down the cavehill. We ordered club sandwiches with fries. Two cappuccino. Service was excellent. Food served very quickly and was delicious. It was very fresh and tasted amazing. Well done to all the staff. Will definitely return.

Lovely cycle along Towpath and stop off at Ability cafe for coffee and food. Food great, staff very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back again

Had a lovely walk with our group (20 walkers) last Sunday. Afterwards tea/coffee/tray bakes/scones at The Stables cafe. Great service by friendly staff who were very welcoming. Fill up of tea/coffee when requested and great atmosphere. Staff implemented hygiene and safety measures. Many thanks from all the walkers.

Such a lovely cafe with great food and super friendly staff. The man who served us was super accommodating and sweet and even gave my vegan boyfriend free soup since were closing. Couldn’t recommend more!

Been here a couple of times and it was lovely (staff always so friendly especially with dogs) my dog is used to them giving a little bowl of water which is so lovely! Today we were out for our walk and came round the side of the cafe we have never seen, through a forest (dog was off lead as she's fine) didn't expect to see the cafe, anyway as we continued our dog ran into the cafe a worker started shouting at her telling her to get out and I said sorry as my partner quickly grabbed her, the lady continued complaining about a lead, this has never been a problem before (we also didn't expect to come out at the cafe) my partner just said aw she'll do no harm. The lady literally ran out the door to us saying excuse me excuse me!! So I just explained we didn't mean for our wee dog to run in. She continued to shout at us at the door (there was also customers sitting outside in pure shock) Still continued saying excuse me... Anyways I just said excuse me? Excuse you! Who do you think you are .. she said I'm the manageress so I replied "would think you would have better manners then, have a great day!" This lady was still shouting as we continued to walk. Never seen any staff member/never mind "manageress" anywhere treating loyal customers this way, so shocked. Genuine accident and will never be back she was so rude and I felt awful for those customers while trying to eat a lovely wee lunch outside!

Really enjoyed visit to cafe this afternoon. We had the “daily special” pasta bake. Food was of a high standard and reasonable price. Will definitely be back
