We had never ordered from here before until lastnight after a recommendation. We ordered a set meal 1 which had 2 curries, rice, naan bread and the usual sides and starters. We also ordered a samosa and bhajis all totalling £25 service was very quick and the food was hot. Fantastic portion sizes and the food was incredible! Definately will be using again and recommending to other :)

Ordered a naga chicken biryani. It tasted nice, but the containers were, at best, 2 thirds full. Rubbish. Charge whatever you fell is appropriate, but don't scrimp on the portions. We will never order from Abid Spice again. Such an easily avoidable situation, but they've chosen the easy route. Never again

Excellent indian food, Best Value in Poole

Staying down here and fancied a curry. This was the closest and it was superb. Could not fault it. Made a dish milder for my wife and changed some spicing for me to make it hotter as they cook everything fresh and you can watch as the kitchen is open. Pricing is excellent and portions are big.

This is a great Indian takeaway. I've tried many in the area while visiting family but they can't match Abid's flavour. We ordered 5 different main dishes for the first time and they were all stunning. I've eaten curries all over the UK and can easily now add Abid's to my top 5. 100% will be returning again for round 2.

First time I've ordered from them, and their shop is well presented and clean. Staff really helpful regarding allergies. Got the food home and it was really delicious and in my opinion good value for money. Many thanks 👍

Excellent Curry House for takeaways....

Ordered food at 19.50, an hour later nothing had arrived, tried ringing 3 times, no answer. So decided to drive to the restaurant to find it shut. More than happy taking my money, but clearly no intention of fulfilling my order. Don’t even deserve one star. Will never use them again

We have lived in Hamworthy for 6 years and sadly never ordered from here. Superb curry, arrived steaming hot and as expected. I know my curries and I was very impressed. Best bindi baji I’ve ever had. Dansak and Pathia was as expected and a bit better actually as was no oil on the top as you may get other places. Highly recommend!!!

Moved near the area back in march and with Indian being our favourite take away, finding a good local Indian restaurant/takeaway was the first thing on our list. We tried a few local shops in the surrounding areas and then when we ordered from Abid's, our search came to an end. ALWAYS perfect food and the gentleman that delivers is always so kind! Food is always cooked to perfection, good portion sizes and always hot and fresh on arrival. We order regularly now and have never been let down. 5* always!

Not impressed, I put an order through for delivery asap but when I get the email confirmation it quoted a delivery time over an hour after I was expecting it. I immediately emailed them saying that as I have to take medication before food the time quoted was too late and I would not be able to eat it. No reply and later that evening the food arrived; I was not able to eat it so was forced to throw it away. Won't be ordering from them again.

Never disappointed. Have used many times now as moved from Leicester and could definitely compete with tastes from the north.

Order on pretty much a weekly basis and I am never disappointed with the quality of service or the food. Tonight, I asked them to make my vindaloo a little hotter as I am currently trying to shift a cold. They listened and they answered. Damn fine curry! My only problem is I now have to order the extra hot vindaloo from now on because it was that damn good. My Mrs, who is completely new to Indian food has enjoyed everything she has tried so far. Honestly, cannot fault Abid's Spice.

Missed out half our order. Rang up to ask and said would be with you in 10mins with the rest of my order. Still waiting. Food was ok but nothing special so dont know whats changed. After ordering from here for ages have seen it get worse so wont be ordering from here again.

We were staying at Rockley park and fancied an Indian. Phoned up and they delivered to the gate for us. It was quick, very hot still, fairly priced and tasted lovely. Would definitely order again.

Food was an absolute disappointing waste of time food was cold dry and wouldn't even fill up a toddler and staff rude and not helpful at all

I ordered a chicken dansak curry £5.50, chicken madras curry £5.50, chicken jalfrez curry £5.50, onion baji £2.50, chips £1.90 and mango dip 90pence coming to a total of £21.80 but somehow got charged £27. I order from here every week and love the food but I won't be ordering from them again.

Wow... talk about rude... The reviews are correct about the terrible attitude and poor customer service. Had issues with ordering online so called and placed order by phone,for collection. On collecting, it was more expensive that ordering for delivery. When challenged, we mentioned the discount for collection as per the menu/online advertising for the server then to remove menu from view so we couldn't show him... Poor, poor, poor customer service... Will let you know if the food is worth the extra cost...

If could give abids a 0 I would, poor service every time you order always something missing then get fobbed off once phone and speak to so called manager

Ordered early collected food really disappointed tandoori chicken really dry got two curries one bhuna one jalfrazi nothing tasted or looked like it should been using this takeaway a long time the staff are lovely but the food is nothing like it used to be won't use anymore

One star is being too polite ! RUDE ! Tonight we received the wrong order ( this happens and I was happy to give it back ) the driver was lovely and simply made a little mistake ! I rang to ask where our order was to be told it was in someone else’s house and they were going to bring it back and told me not to open the tubs in ours as they were taking back to other house ! I simply refused and said I don’t want my food after someone else had touched it ESPECIALLY with everything going on ! And I explained for all they knew we could have covid and be isolating and visa Versa With this the manager swore at me down the phone and refused a refund ! I have taken it further to just eat and given the food back ! The only thing great about this place was the poor delivery driver on her first night who simply made a mistake ! If circumstances were different I would have just swapped but with my daughter being vulnerable I simply refused . Rude and careless !

ordered an Indian as a treat tonight, ok it was earlier than stated however wished I'd had waited. The delivery arrived bundled up so know something was wrong as I ordered poppadoms, opened the bag to find them crushed to pieces the grease had leaked from both containers all over the place. Called the takeaway and was informed we will send more poppadoms out , surprise surprise a knock at the door to be handed yet another crushed mess bundle of poppadoms I was tempted to say something to the driver after no apologies and abrupt manner but my dinner was getting cold....Maybe some customer service given to member of staff dealing with customers day in day out might improve your reviews.

Food has always been hot and tasty. Friendly service and their deals are really good value. Always recommend to friends.

Ordered food from here last night.. all I can say is DISGUSTING.. it was late. Cold. Inedible. Contacted restaurant and they offered me 20% refund. What a complete joke. So glad I ordered from just eat as they were very helpful and I got my refund back.

Absolutely the worst curry I've ordered. ( Chicken tikka masala ) Like red chicken soup. Fries that Ronaldo McDonald would of been embarrassed to serve. Some reviews are actually saying this is the best curry around, if you think that, I can only assume you've been eating out of bins.

Great experience to order from Abid's Sprice. All dishies were absolutely delicious. Madars was excelent just like the chef special (can't remember the name0. Pasanda also were well balanced. I would recommend to anyone who is after authentic flavours

Wish I checked the reviews before ordering! The worst curry ever like hilariously bad funny. I can now judge all curry’s on this place and I would be surprised if I ever EVER find a worse place.

Quite the worst Chicken tikka ..dry and chewy and almost unrecognisable as chicken.couldn’t eat it so went hungry.Shall not be eating from here again even if the delivery was convenient and quick.

Appalling customer service lots of excuses given one driver etc and they do not hold to their promises I have waited for a refund for 2 days that never came...happy to take your money though I would never never recommend them..

Baffled by the low rating. I've ordered here regularly for a while. Easily 15+ times I've eaten here and every time it's been amazing!

Ordered here a few times and the food was nice at first but each time has got worse, thought I would give them one more go. Food arrived with the rice missing, this has happened a a couple of times previously, starters were OK, but the curry was awful, picked out the chicken as we were hungry and threw the rest in the bin. Had stomach ache all night, so will not be ordering from here again.

We ordered from here for a birthday takeaway. We placed the order just after they opened. It was a large order for 5 people. The order arrived after 15 minutes which seemed really quick as they had just opened and it was a large order. The food was bland, the naan breads were full of clumps of flour, the rice had clumped together and gone hard, and there were no dips with the poppadoms we ordered. To make matters worse, one of us ordered a king prawn dish, she was certain that what she was eating wasn't prawn to the extent that she didn't want to eat her meal. We looked through her dish and couldn't find anything resembling a king prawn. What we found were chunks of something chewy. I queried this with the restaurant and was told in no uncertain terms that what we had was king prawn but that they cut it up and fried it before adding it to the dish. We were not satisfied with this but were not offered a fresh dish. This was an expensive and disappointing birthday takeaway. We do not recommend ordering from here. Speedy delivery is wonderful, but not at the cost of quality and good customer service.

If i could give them no stars i would. We ordered over £80 worth of food and must have been their first order of the day, however when placing the order and asking them to confirm the price, they did not call us back but just turned up at the door with the food, which was suspiciously quick for that amount of food. We ordered popadoms (which we would have thought would have been free as they are with the majority of indian take aways we have used in the past), however no dips were provided. The bread was doughy and the curries bland. One guest had king prawns... well after fishing around in the curry, we managed to find what we thought was actually meat. We called the company and asked for a new curry be delivered, however they said that this was prawns but they just cut the king prawns up very small when cooking (why?!?!?). All in all a very bad and expensive experience!!!
