Aberdour nice wee place. The bistro okay, toilets a bit grubby used the disabled as wet floor in other toilet. Coffee fine food a wee bit bland.

Reasonably priced and interesting varied menu with good service. I ordered a fish platter containing locally sourced seafood. Generous portion well presented. Polite staff. Also, a yummy selection of cakes and slices available as well as the usual yes and coffees. Free parking nearby in the station car park.

I visited for the first time since it changed hands a number of years ago and was very pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, it was spotlessly clean and had a bright cheery atmosphere with great level background music. I had a panini while my friend had a child’s toaster which was huge. My panini was very tasty although presentation in both cases could have been better. The owner (I assume) took the time to explain his plans for the next few months and I’m hopefully we may see a fuller, less snacky type menu in the future and for it to be open on weekend evenings. Extensive wine and cocktail list is a bit pointless for lunchtimes. I will definitely return.

We had just visited Aberdour Castle and were in need of sustenance. The Bistro is quite close to the Castle so we decided to visit. Very friendly and helpful staff. The coffee was great and we decided to try their Cheese and Paprika Scone, which was delicious. The only thing is we should have asked for it to be warmed as I think it would have been better but we just forgot. No matter we still enjoyed it. The lunch menu looked good but didn't need that at this time. Recommended.

Used to go here quite regularly for breakfast with my wife, but got put off by being completely ignored one morning as we sat for ages without anyone coming near us to take our order, and nobody even acknowledged us . Hope this is just a blip. We finally left and went elsewhere.

It is unforgivable it took me so long to pop in to the Aberdour Bistro but I am very pleased I did. With smart but welcoming surroundings, a stone's throw from the rail station and bus stop, it’s a perfect place to pop in for a pot or tea or something more substantial, though on this visit I chose a couple of their carefully curated cocktails and boy they hit the spot! I love the Aberdour spin given to the list and first up was the Sparkling French Martini, and have to say it is one of the best I have tasted (and I may have tasted a fair few!). I then had The Silver Sands, the Bistro’s take on the Singapore version. I am not a fan of the original cocktail but this is highly quaffable. Even better I am sure it gave me some of my 5-a-day! Matt and his staff are so welcoming and clearly care about their craft, using the highest quality ingredients so I won’t leave it so long for my next visit; I have the cocktail list to work through after all…

I've had more than my fair share of bacon rolls over the years, and safe to say that today's bacon, black pudding & apple chutney roll from The Aberdour Bistro was without doubt the best I've ever had !

Have been a few times. Coffee and menu items are fab. The bacon is really good! High quality food. Wish the cabinet food was slightly better but it’s alright. Looking forward to trying more on the menus. Staff are always wonderful! Great spot :)

Fabulous find on our way from East Lothian up to Dundee. Lunch was delicious. I had the Light and tasty batter on the Haddock. Great chunky chips and peas. Very friendly staff and customers. Wish this was near our wee golf course in Musselburgh. 😉 Will stop by again if we are in Ladybank for sure. Thanks Kirsty,Phil and Theo.

This is the best coffee shop in St Andrews - but only in terms of the coffee and the food. I love the drinks and the bagels especially are *french kiss* but I would love to be able to come and sit, and enjoy my bagel at a table. The issue is that the already limited seating is taken up by students who have pretty much always finished their drinks. I really think it would be a good idea to have maybe half of the seats reserved for people who just want to come and sit for 10 minutes to have a drink because the shop itself is so nice and clearly very well finished. As a student myself I know there are plenty of study spaces in town so a study free area surely wouldn't meet much resistance? I for one would visit the cafe much more often, instead of just for takeaways. That said, the staff are amazing and the coffee is superb.

My husband and I visited here today and ordered a cup of spicy lentil soup and a sandwich cost £10 each. The food arrived and my cup of soup was only half full and my husband's 3/4 full.I took my soup back and was told you only get one ladle.I said it should be a cupful as stated but was told no.I went back to my seat but was livid as I hate to be ripped off.I asked for the manager and the guy on the till said I will give you more soup which he did.The soup was lovely and the sandwiches also good made with lovely bread. The guy came over to take the plates and said he was sorry he upset me and I said you didn't upset me and I had been annoyed at being done.He apologised and offered me a free lunch.I advised I am only here for the day.The next thing he was back with 2 sweets in a box with forks and napkins to eat later.I thanked him for the cakes. We had them with coffee later on and delicious. I don't know the guys name but you have restored my faith in humanity and the cafe.We will visit again and encourage others to do so also.Thank you for your understanding.
