Food tasted great and waiters were friendly. Nice atmosphere and wide selection of dishes to choose from.

Food was absolutely beautiful, the décor around is stunning, staff were very friendly and made my experience at Aashiqs very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the areas of Upper Gornall. pat on the back for the team at Aashiqs, will see you guys soon :)

Aashiqs is our favourite local restaurant; the staff are wonderful and polite; they always care after us, taking the time to answer any questions regarding menu options and even recommending menu options; they have never let us down. The food is excellent, and you are never pressured to finish your dinner. Fantastic atmosphere!I recommend this to all my family and friends. And if you are local and haven’t tried this WHY NOT!!

It took me almost 10 minutes to order over the phone the person taking my order was clearly lost and then told food would be 25 minutes and suprise suprise it took them 2 hours. I was sat there just looking at the chaos inside it's a shame really not going anytime soon.

Yet another excellent meal at home from Aashiq's can't wait to actually visit again and see the friendly staff. (already booked for Saturday, May) However, until we can takeaways will do, as they never fail to deliver restaurant-quality food.Been our favorite for years for Authentic Indian food. If your local and not tried them yet- WHY? HOW?Definitely Recommend this place!

Went here as a change from our usual sedgley Indians. Had no complaints. Food and service excellent. Drinks good. They got all the orders right but mine, though this meant I got two curries, win win

Our local Indian Restaurant just happens to be the most Awesome place to enjoy a sit down meal with friends.Extraordinary menu choices with reasonable price to be fair.Staff are always very accommodating and we are pleased with the anti covid19 measures they have taken.I would recommend Aashiq's to everyone.A fantastic enjoyable dining experience.

Absolutely the best Indian restaurant around !! I’ve been coming for just over 12 months now after moving to the area & the quality of food is always first class, the staff are excellent & the way the restaurant is run is a credit to the owners. They have some super offers, Sunday’s & mid week but I would easily come without the temptation of a mid week treat. Thanks for another amazing meal to everyone at Aashiqs

Family visit with my wife and children, must say we all had an excellent time, the food was amazing, perfectly balanced spices and elegantly presented, i had the lamb chops to start with it was very tender and melted in your mouth, "awesome" the children also enjoyed the food, all round a perfect family dining restaurant.The buy one get one free special offer was on so we ended up paying a fraction of the food bill which was a bonus!i will recommend Aashiq's to everyone!

Came here for a booked sit in meal. Hadn’t been for years. My meal was really nice as was everybody else’s. The waiter was lovely and as usual the menu was substantial. Nice to see the restaurant observed social distancing unlike another similar establishment we went to last week. Again food was awesome. Only negative was restaurant did not participate in the government mon-we’d offer, but they didn’t need to as they were still full allowing for safe distancing. Well done guys!

Disappointed.. my family used to frequent here a lot and on the odd occasion I have been a few times and always had a lovely meal however this time wasn’t very good ... we arrived around 9pm (weds eve) we ordered starters and mains and 2 bottles of wine between 4 of us , it started off well and the food was lovely however our experience was majorly let down by the poor customer service we received from one waiter (think his name could be jay - although not entirely sure?) - we were just finishing our meal when the very abrupt waiter came out of no where asking “are you paying by cash or card” there was no politeness and I was still eating ! How rude ? We said we would be paying by card and the bill was bought over promptly - it was still only around 10pm at this point so didn’t think we would be so rushed as the restaurant states closing time is 11:30pm .. not that we would have stayed that long. Whilst we were finishing our wine and sorting the bill the waiter continued to stand and watch us at the bar which made us feel very uncomfortable, he then proceeded to turn all the lights off around us - he clearly wanted us out! The atmosphere was so uncomfortable so we decided to leave and call taxi from the bus stop , as we were waiting outside he locked up and left whilst we were standing outside .. it was only around 10.30 so not even near closing time. And what made matters worse we paid for this service costing over £60! Very disappointed ... I’d like to add that all the other staff were polite and didn’t make us feel uncomfortable like this man did - it’s not the first time either , we have heard from other friends he has done similar things previously to them. It’s such a shame as the food was lovely and other staff seemed nice but it’s been let down by this man ... my parents were regulars too who won’t be returning after this incident. I think the owners need to maybe look into customer service training ?

Went to collect order for four people came to £47.00 I asked the member of staff about the 10% off for collection he said we don’t do it anymore I said it’s on your website and he said it shouldn’t be so beware . I then asked what about a free bottle of wine and the same answer we don’t do that anymore either .. What I will say the food was good and all four agreed .

Had a takeaway delivered from Aashiq's Gornal, must admit it was the best food in town by far.the spices where balanced and the portions where very generous plus the food was piping hot when it arrived.I have had a few dining inside the restaurant meals as well must say the staff were very friendly and took their time explaining the menu items despite having many other tables full of dinners.When the food arrived it was presented very well and the taste was amazing, even my eldest daughter enjoyed it [ she normally is the pickiest person in the family] I would most definitely RECOMMEND Aashiq's Restaurant Gornal for both dining inside and takeaway delivered home.Richard Parker

Good job im not a slug, never tasted anything so salty in all my life. Thought id ordered a chinese not an indian. Dont waste your money like me go elsewhere

Passed Aashiqs many times but my first visit was the 26th October for a birthday meal with my grown up children. Staff were very helpful even the chef came over for a chat all food was very flavorsome a very good chicken tikka bhuna will definitely be returning as the ambiance of the restaurant was very chic.

Went to aashiqs for a meal with my wife last night ordered our food at 9.15 came at 10.30 everyone was complaining sent wrong nann breads which were quickly changed there was a young english waiter there who was really polite but the management were talking to him like dirt every thing he done they had a go at him when I approached the manager about our bill and asked for a discount for the amount of time we had waited he just said your like the rest of them jumping on the bandwagon any really arrogant then other members of staff came out to try and intimidate me but I had my say will never go back.

My husband and I decided on the spur of the moment to go out for a meal. This restaurant is close. We had a lovely time, good food and service.

First visit to Aashiqs - a different range of curry -food very good and all at a reasonable price. Some excellent offers during the week. Staff very courteous too. Will definitely return.

Used this place several times and it continues to get better each time. Ask for the Spicy Lamb chops as a starter or main they sure the chefs speciality and they are superb. Staff are attentive but not overpowering keep up the good work boys

I would just like to say ! Great food, great service, great staff & I will definitely return. I have recently moved to the area & after using the same Indian restaurant for 20 years I was nervous about trying somewhere new & I didn’t have any reason to be, it wasn’t busy when we arrived but I guess a Sunday night can be & we where seated in the restaurant, very nice surroundings, very clean, warm & comfortable & then after ordering drinks came poppadoms with condiments & we were asked for our order but in a very nice way - no rush & it felt very relaxing. The food is amazing, it’s tasty & fresh & the staff always seeing if everything was ok with our starters & mains. There is a Sunday curry club offer & it’s fantastic value. The locals need to make the most of this restaurant & anybody that wants to enjoy a fabulous meal. I don’t leave many reviews but this restaurant truly deserves a good one. Jay who we introduced ourselves too said anytime we want to go / or order a takeaway to just remind him who we are & I’m sure he will get to know us well. I've been going to Aashiqs for years! And the food is always incredible and the service top notch!

We went for a mid week treat, there was no need to book a place and we had a warm welcome with some popadoms. Both meals were lovely with some sides but we couldn’t fit in dessert. Also found that we could have a takeaway option in the future for those lazy evenings.

Visited with friends, very attentive staff, very friendly and food was really well presented and tasty. Would have given food and service 5 stars, I thought it was quite expensive for an Indian restaurant in this area so my overall score was 4/5.

This is our local Indian restaurant, the food is always spot on and the staff are very friendly. It has recently been decorated to a high standard. They do 2 for 1 on mains on Wednesday and Thursday and set price on Sundays. Definitely recommend this place.

If you want stale popadoms and an incompletete order this is the place. No nan bread , no chicken in the mixed kebab starter ,only a foul tasting sausage and two pieces of tough lamb. Hope I live long enough after eating this crap to read other reviews , gave the driver a tip aswell.NEVER AGAIN

the staff where very welcoming and polite, i would definitely recomend and come agian, the food was great as where the drinks. The staff always made sure we had everything we needed and made sure we had a lovley, relaxing evening. very happy with the evening, loverly date.

With the exception of one waiter who served our drinks, all the other staff just seemed put out by our presence and quite snappy. One guy, whom I assume was the manager was constantly telling off the waiters, snapping at them and being generally unkind, not really needed. Not appreciated, we just felt uncomfortable. No aircon so it was pretty warm. The meals were ok, portion sizes were good. Prices are reasonable and decor is fine. Just really weird staff and I wouldn’t like to work for this guy. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but it wasn’t very well organised. One waiter saw the table next to us had gone for a quick smoke between courses and uttered behind me “ffs” when he arrived with their mains.

Visited after a recommendation from a colleague and it was possibly the worst curry I have ever eaten!!! Everything was smothered in coriander and grease and bland to say the least, if you are looking for a Balti place please go to Balti Towers in Blackheath it blows this place out the water.

This was our first visit here and found it really good, the staff were polite and attentive and we were never rushed. The food was great and well presented all at a very good price.

Normally love aashiqs but visited recently and was disgusted by the service. Was rushed to place our main order, then as soon as we'd eaten they collected plated and brought hot towels without asking if we wanted dessert. Asked for menu and they never came back for order so we paid and left. Waiter was also rude.

Aashiqs has always been our local takeaway restaurant but we never usually dine in here and since we were celebrating a birthday, we decided to dine here. We knew the restaurant had recently been refurbished and so we were looking forward to a nice night.

Not been to Aashiqs for some years but, upon recommendation from another couple, decided to give it a another go. The waiters were attentive without being too overwhelming and the quality of the food was very good indeed. It was beautifully presented and, as a vegetarian, I was pleased at the choice that was offered. I have had vegetable curries in other restaurants which have been awful, but the meal I had at Aashiqs was excellent. As an added bonus, we took advantage of the 2-1 offer that they are currently running on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Attended last night as a table of 5. It is the First time we have been to this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. We all had different starters and mains and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I like the fact they had low calorie options too. The restaurant was clean, staff very friendly. It was really good value for money too. We will definitely be returning.

I have eaten here on many occasions, however, the last time a week ago I could tell that something was very different, as another finer had commented, everything seemed really dirty, table cloths, crockery, cutlery. The food was average to say the lease. It will definitely be a while before we return.

We have eaten in many places from all different cuisines however the food, service and dirtiness of this place is truly shocking, food was cold and even contained a hair in my curry! I dread to think what the state of the kitchen is like, the customer service is shocking and it was like they didn’t care about the customers there talking amongst each other and using their phones there are far better curry houses in the area and I will never visit again!

Can't recommend this place enough. We were a party of six out for a birthday celebration and everyone raved about the quality of their dish, they were all delicious (and even managed to convert someone who isn't a big fan normally of Indian food). The service was spot on, staff are all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, giving recommendations to us for dishes to try, and making us feel very welcome. Can't wait to go back!

Oh mi. . . Qué decepción. Por segunda vez en una fila tuvimos una comida que le faltaba sabor, era claramente aguadas y salsas de menta raita y nos dejó insatisfechos.

Best curry house in dudley area by a mile. Great food never been dissapointed, good takeaway service, attentive waiters but not annoyingly so. Clean, good prices nothing to fault and i have used lots of indian restaurants in past, luckily since i live 5 mins walk i always use ashiqs now its too good not to.

After going on this occasion the food was brilliant. Staff great, the menu as changed and I've got to say the food is bang on. The nans fantastic I had the special Byriani and a peshwari nan which is to die for. My parnter had salmon balti which was great the rice fantastic and again the corriander and garlic nan you couldn't fault. Well done keep up the good work.

Staff are extremely friendly and professional. As soon as we were down on water they arrived at the table with replacements. They set people far away from one another making it a more comfortable experience rather than seating everyone close for their own ease. The food was perfect and came set out at high standards.

Visited with friends Saturday evening, great atmosphere and amazing food. Very busy so would recommend reserving a table. Friendly and attentive staff even though they were rushed off their feet!

Have been ordering Take-Aways from Aashiqs for a while now, and have never had a bad order, The food has always come on time and been excellent. Last weekend decided to go and have a meal inside.The staff was friendly and very helpful, and as always the food was exceptinal, above all very, very good resturant, and would definatly recomend you go and give it a try.

I normally order a takeaway a couple of nights a week from Aashiqs. The quality of food and service are excellent and you will struggle to find a better Indian restaurant in the area. Definitely recommended to all curry lovers!

I recently visited Aashiqs with my family to celebrate a birthday, as it had been rcomended to me by my close friend who has a meal there every weekend.The service we recieved from all the staff was excellent and friendly, as well as a first class dining experience as the food was truly 1st class, and a good choice of quality beverages aswell as good decore.Everyone throughly enjoyed themselves and will be definatly visiting again.

Very little choice on menu...however it was very tasty. Staff appeared to be walking in circles.. Not sure of each others role...table next to ours had their starters bought out 5 minutes after there main... My wife and I shared our meal which appeared to confuse the staff. However with more choice on menu and staff who communicated with each other this would be excellent.... Please try though as food is very tasty

Had a delivery which was goin to take an hour when it arrived I found a hair in the food and the Nan bread was cold so was the chips and as for the balti I might as well of got it out the fridge. When I rang the company up they offered a free meal aswel as a full refund but as this was the second time this has happened , it was not except able at all. I thought I would give them another chance, wot a joke. The manager asked me wot I would do so I replied your the boss u tell me as I work in a restaurant and if I had a problem u always go to the boss if u Carnt deal with it itself, but as he was the boss he didn't no wot to do and he got abit mouthy. He then hung up and no refund was givin. that's why I'm on here. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE IT WILL MAKE U ILL

Decided to try Asshiqs on Saturday night after hearing great reviews and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was very busy and also a lot of takeaways. The food was very good and also the waiters very friendly. I would recommend Aashiqs to anyone and we will certainly be visiting again.

My family and myself are big fans of Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine, and we've yet to be disappointed by Aashiqs in our 5 years of visiting. As I now live in London, I've visited some of the best reviewed Indian restaurants and these pale in comparison to the quality on offer here. Some may balk at the cost but you get what you pay for - if you want a cheap and cheerful (and tasteless) curry, head to Sedgley, if you want a fine meal and great service, head to Aashiqs.

Had a very disappointing experience here last weekend. We had a good meal here six weeks ago and visited again last Saturday. Three out of four of our meals were not good. My chicken dish had in it pieces of chicken from a skewer which must have been reheated from another meal's leftovers. The other chicken pieces were very tough. Of the other meals , one had inedible hard lamb and the other was very greasy.When I complained to the staff I was told that it was a new chef, and the staff did not seem surprised to hear the complaints. Very disappointing but I would not risk ever visiting again and would advise anyone else not to.

As the tital says its good food at a fair price. The only slight issue is that on ocassion there has been a different chef which makes spicier and more tomarto flavoured food.

We went to Ashiqs after reading the menu. The menu was new so we were hoping for a fantastic meal but NO????? We ordered a lamb tikka jalfrazi and a king prawn Bengal. Disappointment wasn't the word. Both sauces were excactly the same the jalfrazi was full of onions anf thr Bengal which had boiled egg in (WELL) the egg tasted off. The chappties were under cooked but on a posative note the veg rice was nice. But the price you pay the food wasn't value for money when you can go to other restraunts and get a four or five course meal for less. Would i go again. NO

Gorgeous. Love the food. Love the presentation. The plates they use are unusual but really helps with the presentation. Have them four stars last time due to surly waiter. Up to five stars this time.

main meal -spec biryani,mix grill starter-sheek kebab,aloo pakora,chana puree,muglai chicken,for 3 . This is the best Indian takeaway meal ive ever had ,so fresh and tasty i did not leave nothing, i couldnt it was too nice. The delivery driver was so polite and they even gave us a bottle of wine (blossom hill ) for being late , we didnt know they were late ??? VERY NICE THANK YOU WILL BE USING AGAIN

First time at Aashiqs for a number of years. Ordered poppadoms in the first instance so we could all have a chat, nibble and look at the menu ... as you do. Was jumped on straight away asking if we're ready for mains, asked twice more then one of the waiters said "well don't blame me if you have to wait a bit for your food as we're due a rush"!! There were a lot of staff on but most couldn't care less about the dining experience, but when a more senior waiter utters things like the above then what do you expect.When my food came over you could tell it was fresh however more effect with presentation is required. As the dish rested the sauce did become a bit thicker and tastier however I've eaten much better! There was a special offer on our visit for Fathers Day, two free bottles of wine which we gladly accepted. We were somewhat surprised when these were itemised on the bill at the end - the waiter said it was error but he should know the restaurants own deal. In all fairness he did apologise a number of times but I wonder how many groups paid their bills without closer scrutiny! I won't be returning unless our friends win the majority vote or had too many vinos

The food here is very high standard mushroom pakora for starters beautifully presented prawn korma for main lots of it gorgeous nan good prices only reason I gave 4☆ instead of 5 is that the waiter we had was a bit surly he could of made a difference to experience but highly recommend and will go again

We have lots of choice of Indian restaurants near Sedgley. We decided to try Aashiqs on a Thursday eve.10 of us had a great meal (as in no food left on the plates) and the main courses were BOGOF on a Thursday night so the overall bill was really reasonable.

The food here is first class. Curries are very tasty and reasonably priced. Service is good and staff are pleasant and helpful. Special offers midweek. Have used takeaway service too which is also recommended.

The starters come out beautifully designed on the plate I'm eating with my eyes before I'm actually eating the food. The drinks a cheap too and the chicken chat balti is to die for.

First time visit. Very quiet but it was a Tuesday evening. Staff attentive. Food tasty but a little bland. I had garlic fish but couldn't taste garlic. The pilau rice that came with my food was delicious . Portions were so huge we brought it home. We will definitely go back.

My Mom was raving about this curry place for ages. I went and can honestly say it's the best curry I've ever had. I always have lamb bhuna it's amazing. The food comes quick, the waiters are all very friendly and polite and it is decorated lovely. Also on a wednesday and thursday, they sometimes have a 2 for 1 offer on (there is normally a banner outside when this offer is on). 2 people can eat for less than £15 if the offer is on! Please try it you won't regret it!

I have been going here regularly for a couple of years now. It's always a great meal and I don't hesitate to recommend it to others. Especially good is the 2 for 1 offer which is Wednesdays and Thursdays. This isn't always on though so check before if you fancy this deal.

We are regular visitors here anyway but Valentine's evening was very enjoyable. A set menu was offered for this evening which cost £19.99 per person. The meal consisted of:- glass of champagne- poppadom- a special starter platter which included prawns, sea bass, onion bhaji, sheesh kebab and chicken tikka. - any main course, any rice and any naan bread (per person) - Valentine dessert or chocolate mousse- coffee and mints- a rose for the ladyEverything was cooked to perfection and service was impeccable. A lovely evening, thank you.

Visited Valentine's Day 2016 as it was my Fiancé birthday. Good service and food. Highly recommended. Pudding was to die for.

Third time I've either visited or ordered food from this restaurant and every time I haven't been disappointed, very tasty, reasonably priced and good service would definitely recommend anyone to visit here.
