Small intermate restaurant that serves really tasty food. The menu is varied with a great selection of new and authentic food that's not seen in your every day Indian restaurant. The thing that really makes this place special is the attention and the welcome that the staff make with you. I will return again and again passing many other curry houses to go to this one.

Me and my boyfriend came today for the first time - we will definitely be returning! Food was so good and fresh The staff were all so friendly and welcoming Highly recommend

Just had a meal at Wordsley Tandoori. Have been here a few times but must say this evening was the best service and meal ever! The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us ... the food was excellent! A definite 10/10 from start to finish! Well done all x

We have visited Wordsley Tandoori several times over the years and I have to say the quality of the meals just seems to get better every time! Never had a disappointing meal. Always cooked fresh, so you may have to wait a little longer, but you'll be hard pushed to find a more authentic experience. The staff are friendly and a bar is available, though you are welcome to bring your own drinks. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the decor and lighting are quite stark and the toilets are located upstairs, which may be an issue for older or more disabled people.

Had to wait a bit for food but my goodness, well wirth the wait. Kept me informed of the delay. They were mega buisy. Thanks fir the food we wull be back again soon

I paid the bill I was presented with only to be told it was wrong and they wanted more money. Startled by the request the owner of front of house was confrontation and said ‘what are you saying you are not going to pay’ before rolling his eyes at other customers in the waiting areas. He belittled me and made me feel embarrassed. Food was ok, however as a BIR enthusiast I can do much better

First time ordering here , and was absolutely amazing, probably one of the best currys I've ever had , I had chicken tika methi madrass was sooo good , will definitely go here again no1 curry place now ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First time for a while but also the last. Food not as good as before, bought the main course half way through starters. Asked them to take them away but came back with them and said must be on the table. The service has gone down hill to what it used to be. There are far better places around. And no where near as busy has it used to be.

My 1st and unfortunately my last visit. I placed an advance order for collection at 5:45 & didn't receive it until 6:05pm. The food was lackluster & disappointing with so much red colouring I was not sure what I was eating. Summary, I can cross this place off my list as I'll never go there again.

I have eaten Indian food , twice a week for nigh on forty years now , I’ve had fantastic food to absolute bland rubbish , mor and more the latter , the last 10 years . I have to say though this evenings take away , was as tasty and well balanced as anything I’ve had for a few years now , well done Wordsley tandoori , keep up this high standard .

This is the third time I've been let down by this restaurant. First time they didn't even ask why I'd arrived for the first 30 minutes, the second time they missed an item from my order and finally tonight I ordered my food over an hour ago and have been told I'm next in the queue. Avoid!

Food good, but very pricey. Was charged £44.00 for 2 curries, 2 Nans, 4 Popadoms and 1 Chips. Won't be going again.

Visited last week after being told the food is amazing! It certainly did not disappoint, I opted for the sea bass which so tasty, my wife opted for combination dish which was delicious Will definitely go again, having a delivery tonight and trying the chicken makani….

Decided to try a takeaway for the first time as ive heard some good things about this place, We live in wall heath so not too far away but pre ordered through just eat We decided on a couple of starters and 1 main with rice and Naan to share Starters of Prawn Puree and Onion bhaji - Incredible and the value for money was insane, Our normal offerings for prawn puree start at £6:95 here its £3:50 half the price and equally as big a portion and it was nicer than our local, Bhaji was cheaper too and you get 4 at our local you get 3 - Popped them in the air fryer for a minute or two just to crisp them back up and oh may they were delicious, My mouth is watering writing this :-) We went for a main of chicken tikka pathia with garlic fried rice and a chicken tikka Naan, I can honestly say that its one of if not the best ive eaten the garlic rice was really tasty too Food and Value for money is excellent We did wait a little longer than expected for delivery as i pre ordered for 18:30 but didn't arrive until nearly 19:00 but who cares it was a Sunday evening and the guy that delivered did apologise for the delay, Had a little chat on the doorstep about this being our first one and he said if you like it please leave us a good review so here it is Out of 10 i would give it a solid 9.4 out of 10 but this is on these dishes only We plan to go and eat in the restaurant at some point in the next few days 17/08/2023 If you haven't tried this restaurant please give it a try as it is incredible value for money

We have had 2-3 takeaways from here, you must try it! Fabulous food and very reasonable too! It is definitely not the same as it used to be. My husband is very finicky, he lives the food! Highly recommend this place

Thought I would vist after a few years. Counter staff friendly while we waited for someone to take us to a table. As we went to sit down my husband noticed it was cash only, I asked the waiter and he went to check, he then said they could accept a back transfer on way out another waiter said we have got card machine but we said no thank you and left.

Great mains and rice was gorgeous. Lots of free poppadoms. Only minor criticism was no sauces or onion salad with poppadoms. Will definitely use again (and have frequently before!)

This is my go to place for a lovely curry, the food is so nice and the delivery is really quick, wouldn’t go anywhere else.

The front desk staff was friendly, but the simple food order of chaat, tandoori chicken, and a portion of rice took almost an hour to be made. The quality was passable, but no more than a 2/5. The price did not reflect the quality.

Highly recommend. Really enjoyed our delicious curries 🍛 here last night (eat in). Poppadoms were fresh and crispy, served with some nice condiments. Main meal, I had a chicken tikka Korai, hubby had the chicken tikka Muchammon, both really tasty, nann and spinach rice all very yummy 😋 The staff very welcoming and service was good too. Reasonably priced and you can bring your own booze/drinks, always a bonus with a Sainsburys over the road.

I would have rated 0 if I could. You order food and then never hear anymore. No updates and when you phone they say they are going to the kitchen to check and never come back on the phone!

Absolute shame as the food is so nice from past orders. But 3 hours we have been waiting for our food to be delivered and we still haven’t received it. My partner has gone into the restaurant to chase our order as we have phone over 20 times and could not get through, told to go home and wait another half hour but still no food and still waiting. Will not order from here again and will try other local Indian restaurants.

Ordered a takeaway for 6 people £43 collected the order got back home unpacked looking forward to a nice meal. First problem lamb vindaloo contained no lamb but prawns, ordered vegetarian dish chickpea and spinach contained chicken tikka got chippatis didn't order any. So if any of us had an allergy to to shell fish,well 999 springs mind, and a vegetarian who got chicken. Phoned the restaurant and got absolutely no where no appolergy no hint of a refund . Avoid this place at all costs if you are vegetarian or have an allergy of any type. Will not recommend or use ever again.

We had not visited the resterant since it had been taken over even though we live in Wordsley wish we had gone earlier it was so tasty the service was spot on and they have made a good job of refurbishment this certainly won't be our last visit give it a try if you have not been

Waited 2 hrs for a delivery 1 mile away. Too slow, staff half soaked,need too speed things up as its nice food. Collection is the oy way these guys operate...

Excellent meal again at Wordsley Tandoori. Good choice, freshly cooked to order and at reasonable prices. They will also adjust dishes to your personal preference too!

We regularly go in to Sat and its always well presented, fantastic flavours and such a variety on menu. Big portions of meat too. Staff are wonderful and remember you too. It's our favourite and would highly recommend it.

I would give zero stars if I could. Rude staff, disgusting taste, they cannot call themselves Indian!

Ordered on their website for delivery. Called 1.5 hours later to see where the order was. Told to come and pick up obviously annoyed. Only used them for the first time. Never again came out with 3 people to tell me how it is and to 'try' and intimidate me. Be very careful, as they were rude on the phone too. In the end we are the ones who pay their wages, very unprofessional -food not great at all -Never again

Thought I’d try these after seeing good reviews… order placed 7pm called at 8pm confirmed my address and was told “driver left 10 mins ago”… called again at 9pm again clearly stating my address “driver on way” called again at 9:30pm again reminded them of the address “he delivered your order” tried calling the driver on the mobile number provided, doesn’t work, Ended up ordering from somewhere else, First and last time using them for home delivery. Clearly they must preform better when you eat in the restaurant.

Second time of going there for a meal. Lovely to relax in and have a great choice off the menu. The staff there are very friendly and welcoming, and saw a work colleague there but now I have retired lovely to catch up. Shall go again so thanks for a lovely meal and service, keep smiling and keep safe everyone.

Don't use for Delivery via UberEats - Nearly 3 hour wait to get food. I know it was a Saturday but it's not the first time, if your struggling to do deliveries then you should come off the Uber app. Order place 19:10 Expected Arrival Time 19:50-20:10 21:26 Phoned restaurant, told it would be here in 10-15mins, still nothing. Phoned again 21:52, order still at restaurant waiting for driver. Finally Received food 22:07 2 hours after Expected Arrival Time. Should of learnt from the first time. Won't be using again ☹️

Had a takeaway from here last night. Solid but not great. Good portion size but too much sauce and thought the taste was a tad bland tbh. Nothing bad overall though and 15% off collections is a billy bonus

Never again!! Chewy inedible meat, difficulty finding one measly prawn in the dish which was revolting. If you're looking for anything that resembles authentic cuisine look elsewhere!!

Restaurant is now under new management and they're doing a good job. 4 of us went to try it out last night, we were pleasantly surprised. Food was really very tasty and service was also good. Prices are very reasonable too. Will definitely be visiting...

Ordered at 530pm for 730pm delivery. After 8pm now and just about to eat my phone through starvation. Called them. Useless and couldn't tell me when would be delivered. Thought I'd post this review as final use of phone before I eat it. Beyond starving..... Finally turned up. 8:15pm.

Order unfortunately was incorrect, asked for panneer cheese to be added to main dish and normal cheese just sprinkled on top, we ordered a coconut rice which contains crystalised sugar, some may enjoy that but its definitely not for me, on a positive delivery was about 20 mins.

Ordered a Chicken Dhansak which was quite tasty but not the best I have had. My wife had Vegetable Rogan Josh which was very poor. No taste at all, no spice. Sent free starter salad with no sauce. Won't be having a takeaway from there again.

Food took 1 1/2 hours to arrive and was missing a dish. Tried to call but the phone was constantly engaged. Not great for a restaurant under new management.

1st visit there on Saturday and the food was Fantastic and excellent service,front of house staff very attentive and polite food was not rushed nor late perfect timing for a busy night. Will be recommending my friends and family 👍

Can’t personally comment on the food but gutted to find out The restaurant is halal and majority of customers are white brits and don’t follow the religion. So would be nice to see them serve non halal and actually fund British farmers instead of boycotting British farmers but happily taking money from brits without labelling and making clear it’s halal
