Really cosy pub, great selection of beers, great tvs for sport. Was able to watch US masters golf conclude there on Sunday evening.

As an American looking for a Scottish pub experience, i WAS NOT disappointed. Get here early, everybody wants a table.

Authentic Edinburgh pub with a welcoming atmosphere and good food.

Everyone should try the cullen skink here. I went to a restaurant recommended by a tour guide in a Highland seaside village, and this place was much more delicious. The steak pie was okay, but honestly, the soup was so delicious... I keep thinking about it... I think I'll want to go again when I come to Edinburgh.

Easily one of my favorite pubs in town...and I visited many pubs. On a side street west of the old city and away from the noise and crowds just around the corner on Princes St. The energy and vibes at this cozy tavern are nearly unparalleled. Just something special about the interior, the beer selection, the staff, the menu. It's all stellar and creates a special experience. Some great cask ales, comfortable seating throughout, and food that emphasizes local producers and fresh ingredients. The cullen skink (smoked haddock chowder) was absolutely incredible. Some of the best chowder I've ever had. I just love what they're doing here and it's one of the reasons I returned multiple times during my trip. Also don't miss Teuchters Landing over near the water in Leith!

We booked this for a casual family get-together. We asked for a table to accommodate an elderly member and was given a low table, which was appreciated. The bar itself is rowdy. However, the "bunker" was calmer and perfect for a proper catch-up over some food. The menu was as expected for pub food. However, we were pleased to be allowed to adjust it to suit our taste. We had the chicken with haggis, steak pie, fish pie, and veggie curry - all of which were enjoyed. We followed this up with the apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding - both delicious. There was a good choice of beers. The only downside was the coffee - it was not good. The prices were reasonable. Overall, I would return and would recommend it.

I love this pub, the people, food and wine are all excellent. One of my fav places for a pre-rugby munch or lunch with the girls.

The bar in the West End has a great atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff. The wine I chose was lovely and we ordered Cullen Skink and steak pie and chips. All of which were very tasty and very fresh. The food was the best we have had in Edinburgh. We would definitely recommend for a visit.

A lovely place. We had lunch there it was so good we went back for dinner. The food was excellent. The treasure trove of single malts was also great. I ticked off some of the rarer ones. Give the hoop of destiny a try if you like whisky! We will be back next time we are in Edinburgh.

Came here with friends on a cold Monday night. The place was warm and very busy, The food from a wide range of menu were well presented and made you want to eat them. The service was quick and the food very hot. The staff were very attentive, regularly checked on everything, took further orders for drinks and were quick to respond to any request. You can understand why the place is so popular even on a Monday night..Our party had Kedgere, Chilli bowl, fish and chips and vegetarian haggis,neeps and tatties. The apple pies were also delicious All were great. The beers and wines were good too. Many thanks to all.

Very good pub, lively and hard to get a seat

This seems to be a very traditional Scottish restaurant. My husband and I were the only ‘tourists’ there. Food is delicious, dishes are the right size, and prices are perfect! I ordered a fish platter and it was the most delicious fish board ever! It was all Scottish fish perfectly paired with oat cakes and fresh bread. My husband ordered Cullen Skink, a traditional Scottish soup and it was also delicious. I would say the side salad is a bit overpriced for the size. But it was very tasty. I could go back each day for a different meal and I would not get bored. The staff is very friendly and also very willing to make recommendations based on your likes. You need to ask if you have any dietary restrictions, but it seems like they are flexible. The environment is also super nice! We loved it!

Great location in tucked away street with very nice authentic atmosphere , good quality pub style food and very good service. Definitley reccomened!

Overall: Awesome except mac & cheese Proper scottish scran in a lovely wee pub, got the cullen skink and mac (no photo). Mac was floury and not cheesy, not great. Cullen skink was creamy, smoky, and quite filling at 6.50. Friends had fish and chips (small was a good size for one!) and steak pie, both said were good. Will come again for their other menu items!

Book in advance if you want food. Tables are downstairs and fill up quickly. Food is really good, staff are super helpful and understanding, the buzz in the bar room is a perfect traditional tavern.

Absolutely, a magical place , food outstanding, I had the Cullen skink and the venison, yum yum yum, Absolutely gorgeous. The service was very very good and attentive. The palce itself, wow, the atmosphere is absolutely magical, cozy . Definitely be back again and very soon!

This is at the top end of 4 stars. Atmospheric, welcoming, warm and a decent range of ale. Being picky, it sticks to a safe and traditional range and it does it very well. The whisky flights are brill!

Daughter just bought a flat in area and visited for family bar meal. WHAT a hidden gem. It’s got all the feel, atmosphere, looks of a country pub in the middle of the hills, full of community people and very warm. Can’t believe such a pub is in that area. Congratulations to the owners and the team. Make me want to move to the city even thought we are in the countryside. Also a great rugby and whisky theme to the place along with great Scottish food pub grub. Thumbs up but want to keep it a secret.

We had a table in the bunker, which we were very happy with because the upstairs bar was packed and noisy. The service was excellent, and the food was amazing! We had a mug of Mac n cheese with broccoli and the chilli, both of which were fantastic. Lovely pub with a Scottish twist, would recommend to anyone for dinner!

Well established bar serving good food and wide selection of drinks

A brilliant night watching the rugby World Cup. The atmosphere was fantastic. The Menu was varied and interesting, all served up by very friendly and competent staff. Looking forward to an early return visit!

It's the sort of place that when you are a Scot abroad and you hear Caledonia play, you book your ticket to Edinburgh, jump off at Haymarket and get your first pint at Teuchters.

Always love a good Teuchters evening. Very chilled, non-pretentious, high-standard local pub. Ross has everything under control, and every table is attentively waited on without being overbearing. The food is delicious, the only thing I'd say would be that the mac and cheese sauce was a little "floury".

Just sat at the bar drinking a Jarl, saw the food coming out - looked decent so I ordered the Shetland Scallops Risotto - glad I did it was outstanding - Jarls pretty good too 10/10

What can we say about Teuchters except GO THERE! We wandered in one night unassumingly looking for a dram and ended up having a flight of single malt islays that were delicious, so we came back the next night for dinner for a sausage and mash and platter that were to die for. The beers were just perfect and the ambiance in the bottom floor was cozy and inviting. Sláinte! 🥃 🍻

Arguably the best pub I visited during my stay in Edinburgh (visited 3 times during our stay). Service was excellent. Staff were on the case, both at the bar and on the floor. Tables were cleared and cleaned at every changeover. I didn't eat in the pub but all the food I saw was well presented and plentiful on the plate. Well worth a visit.

A great pub with outstanding food with many local beers on tap and an extensive whisky portfolio. We really enjoyed the fish and chips, one of the locals recommended the Cullen Skink which was outstanding. Fair prices, great environment, and very clean. We will certainly return to Teuchers on our next return to Edinburgh.

Went to the Teuchtars last night. We were in the bunker downstairs as we were a party of 20. The staff were amazing. The food delicious. I had haggis, neeps and potato with a whiskey cream sauce. Definitely 5 stars from me.

My daughter and I were visiting Edinburgh for the first time and we stopped in for dinner one evening. All I can say is that we were treated so wonderfully, as if we were regulars visiting for the hundredth time. We each had a burger and a beer. The food was excellent as was the service. We felt so comfortable and so well treated. I highly recommend a visit.

We decided to get lost during our time in Edinburgh and have a lunch in the first place that will catch our eyes. Teuchters was that place and wow what a time we had! Service is top class, and I mean it has been a while since I have had such a good tfeeling from every single person working in a bar/restaurant. We had to try local Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and some local beer. And you should as well! Honestly, don't wait. Go there, have good chat, have fun, have sweet time!

We usually come to the bar with our dogs, friends and family; and today the rugby was playing, we know dogs aren’t allowed on match days at Murrayfield but don’t follow rugby and didn’t know Scotland were playing away so in the pouring rain we arrive and get told dogs aren’t allowed, given the rain outside was horrendous, we asked if we could stand in the doorway at the back, told it was ok, we stood there for 45 mins not causing any issue and had two pints, other staff spoke to the dogs and as such we assumed it was okay as it was confirmed by who we assumed was the manager, we go to get a 2nd pint and the barmaid barks at us “are you the one with the dogs?”, “if so, we can’t serve you”. It was as if I was under the influence the manner she spoke to me. Despite explaining her colleague said it was ok, she barked at us we have to leave. Without a fight, we did. Appreciate rules but it wasn’t super busy and causing no issues. Another member of staff said it was ok. She could have asked in a nicer manner and we would have still left miffed but understanding the rules, the manner in which she spoke (barked at) to people who regularly frequent was rude, uncalled for and cost them a customer. We went over to the Green Room, dogs welcome and friendlier staff. We attend regularly and have food but won’t be moving forward, which is a shame, but people buy people and with that attitude, I won’t be back.

Fantastic & totally authentic bar in one of Edinburghs quaintest streets! Staff extremely easy going and very friendly, great atmosphere and amazing fish and chips! Ten out of ten!

Fabulous pub food, friendly staff & a great choice of local beers and Scottish whisky & gin. Visited on a Saturday evening when it was quite busy, great atmosphere & would certainly recommend to friends to visit this hidden gem.

We stumbled upon this place while waiting to check into our hotel. We both loved the menu and the food was top notch. I had the seafood board, which was exceptional value for money. We would recommend to anyone to try it.

This is a proper pub. Friendly welcome cosy atmosphere and good selection of drinks. The Timothy Taylor Landlord was paticularly well kept. Didnt have food but what I saw looked good.

Very nice and open feeling space but still with a cosy atmosphere, the staff were accomodating and attentive and the food was fantastic; had one of the best Risotto's of my life here. Would definately come back to see/try more!
