84 By The Shore in Fareham

84 By the Shore is literally on the shore, if you’re passing on one of your walks, say hello to Emma and Adam and treat yourself you will not be disappointed. Fantastic selection of drinks and too many treats to choose from. They do the best coffee! Also doggy treats available and we all like happy doggies. We visit most Sundays on our Sunday walk.

Since we moved to the area we’ve popped down almost every weekend and I have to say, the coffee tastes better than Costa or Starbucks to us. It’s reasonably priced and they offer all the different milks and syrups (and have decaf). The cakes, cookies and sausage rolls are delicious and they sometimes have little plants for sale. The people are super friendly too. We absolutely love visiting and will continue to support them as often as we can.

I’ve never heard of this place and only stumbled across it during a walk with my girlfriend and another couple. Friendly staff and lovely Nutella Cookie that I grabbed. Will make this our local for any future weekend walks.

84 by the shore has become a regular stop on my weekend dog walk or when I want a nice coffee as I am lucky enough to live nearby. It is perfectly located by the shoreline with beautiful views. As someone who appreciates good coffee i can say that the coffee is the best that I have found locally and the cakes are all homemade and definitely a hit with my nieces. The owners and staff also greet you with a genuine smile and hello. i have also learnt more about what the positive things that the owners do for the local community and environment - I would definitely recommend this as a local business to support and somewhere to stop if you are in portchester

What an amazing place. BEST coffee I've tasted outside of Italy and don't get me started on the hot chocolate!!! If that wasn't enough the cakes and sausage rolls are to die for. I cannot recommend 84 enough. Great place, great staff and GREAT food and beverages. Thankyou 84 by the shore!!

Just love 84 - when you have been out for walk on the shore line and need a little pick me up the Hot Chocolate is just the ticket, it is delicious. The staff are so friendly and I have become such a regular that they know my order 😀 before I even ask. Definitely recommend - The cakes are also amazing

Great coffee, haven't sampled the cakes but they always look amazing, Emma & Adam provide a fantastic friendly service and work so hard helping the environment, recycling, litter picking & beach clearing. I really would highly recommend 83 by the Shore if your out for a stroll in Portchester, especially now they have the indoor and shelter areas.

Such a lovely friendly little pit stop! Perfect placed along the coastline to break up a walk to Portchester Castle. I also love to stop here when I’m paddle boarding on the harbour! I just paddle in and grab some treats as it’s so close to the water. The drinks, the service and the cakes never disappoint!! Plus the attitude these guys have towards the environment and the local community makes them the perfect small business to support!

I attended this area last weekend on a cold, frosty day for a walk along Portchester seafront and treated ourselves to some hot drinks and snacks at ‘84 by The Shore’ afterwards. Well… what can I say we were greeted with smiles and politeness followed by the most gorgeous hot chocolate (and I even opted for the sugar free option) to try and be good! My little girl had the Purbeck vanilla bean ice cream which didn’t last long and for a 7 year old to say ‘that was the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted mummy’ means it was the BEST!! We all shared a flap jack and Nutella cookie 🍪 oh my word they were heavenly. The only problem is we were all fighting for the last bite, so make sure you buy one each as we will next time…. We will be back very soon!! An absolutely fantastic establishment.

THE best coffee I've ever had, and the cakes are also delicious! A lovely place to grab a coffee & cake on your walk along the shoreline. The staff are super friendly... I'll definitely be visiting again. Would highly recommend.

We found this place walking along the shore one weekend. The iced coffee we ordered tasted amazing and was ready quickly. Staff were extremely friendly and we will definitely be going back here!

After walking from Fareham along the coastal path just what we needed. A lovely coffee and fantastic piece of cake. My husband had the chocolate cake and I had the lemon .

We recently took our dog for a walk along the Portchester Coastal Path and came across this gem of a coffee cabin (take aways). Lovely coffee (own blend) and cake on offer, not forgetting the pooches with doggy biscuits and a water bowl. The prices are very competitive against others in the area and the welcome is very friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit - grab a coffee and take in the fabulous views!

Didn't realise this little cafe was there but it was a great find. Enjoyed a walk from Portchester Castle and was delighted to find a nice stop for coffee with an amazing view. The family owners were very friendly. We didn't have a cake but they looked delicious. Will definitely be back.

Tea, dark hot choc, salted caramel cake and a choc chip cookie from this new find halfway between the castle and Wicor rec. Cakes were fab and well worth a return visit. Wish the team luck in securing a permanent licence.

Went for a walk along the shore line on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to find this place. The hot chocolate variety is amazing and tastes even better! The service is so friendly! Would definitely recommend to anyone going for a weekend stroll.
