Delicious food I wish they were open more often

They usually have good food and I have been a customer since they opened. However, there were a couple of times they sent unusually bad food. When I called the restaurant, before this woman who picked the call could hear me out, she became very aggressive and tried to gaslight me for expressing saying that I wasn’t happy about the food that day. The food was all soggy (probably a different cook those days). To my surprise, whenever I try to make an order they reject the order. Ma’am if you read this comment, it is okay not to serve people you don’t wish to sell your food too. But you need to be professional and not extremely sensitive about constructive criticism. It is a lot of money to waste because I had to throw away the food and I wasn’t asking you for a refund. I will not be ordering again or recommend your restaurant.

Raised with the bar set high by my Caribbean-cooking expert mom, I approached 7Even Caribbean restaurant and bar with discerning taste. To my delight, 🙃😄the food was not only amazing but went beyond my already high expectations. The welcoming service added to the experience, and I can't wait to recommend this gem to all my friends.

Tried this restaurant for the first time when ordering on uber eats. The food to me was average, it wasn't bad. But it wasn't good enough for me to order again. Felt like the food lacked love, passion and zest. There could have been a lot more flavour.

Demi made us feel welcomed. She was friendly and attentive. She went out of her way to ensure that everything was done to ensure our 1st experience was pleasurable. The Curry Chicken was really tasty. Even though I was full, I couldn't stop eating. Portion sizes are great. Curry goat, brown stew chicken, and fried chicken were all cooked to perfection. I had an autistic child with me, who was winging and wanted to run around. She quickly put something on the tv to entertain him. He was so happy, he kept on cuddling her and she showed him warmth too. We also really enjoyed the festivals. I would recommend this restaurant and I wish them every success with their business.

Definitely order from this restaurant! Very tasty food and responsibly priced with very good portions. Stewed chicken is my go to so to have the option of 2 sides is a HUGE bonus that no other carribbean restaurant offer. Plantain is moist and tasty (not dry or unripe like others in the area) I am a repeat customer and will definitely keep returning! Thank you for authentic carribbean food 🙏🏼♥️ God Bless

Food was exceptional. Couldn't of asked for any better. The hostess was extra friendly.

Bought a chicken soup, it was terrible. watery with allot of skin floating at the top. It consisted of carrots and the worst tasting dumplings ever with boiled tasting chicken. First and last time.

Ordered stew chicken, curry chicken and a side of Mac cheese (£5). The food itself was flavourful. It’s such a shame as the curry’s themselves were 90% bones. The chicken must’ve been cut poorly as every spoonful had a piece of bone fragment in it. Quite frustrating as the food itself was nice. I ended up chocking on a small bit of chicken rib fragment which put me off the food entirely. The mac cheese was horrible; it was bitter. We think expired ingredients were used as it tasted like off milk. Also, £5 for that tiny portion? We couldn’t eat it anyways so.. £5 wasted. I hope the restaurant reads this as the food was so tasty but the bone fragments were disgusting and a safety issue. There was probably 10g of chicken in that whole meal. Perhaps consider offering boneless chicken?

I had takeaway from here which I collected. Staff were friendly, and food was fabulous. We both had jerk chicken with plantain and macaroni cheese. Delicious and very tasty. The portions are good and price is fair for the portion size. I'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work as you now have Caribbean eateries either side of you so please don't disappoint.

The chicken and the planteine tastes very nice, but I forgot to take pictures at the beginning. Otherwise food taste nice

Restaurant is in good location, staff is warm and welcoming. The food was top tier, very nice, served promptly nice and hot.

Food is very authentic! I loved everything about my meal especially the jerk wings. My meal was very satisfying and I will definitely be ordering again! Thank you again

We visited on a Friday evening, the service was friendly and welcoming and the food delicious. We had brown stew chicken, oxtail, rice & peas, plantain and coleslaw and the portions were a decent size. They had a DJ on site playing some great music; he's there the last Friday of the month. We will definitely return.

My opinion of this restaurant is not the best nor the worst. It's pretty average. It's located at a strategic location, which is right at the traffic lights junction, so most people will notice it. Be warned though, there is no parking as a result of that location so you will have to find parking elsewhere. The waitress was nice and warm, which made a difference. The restaurant had better ambience though than some others I've visited. It's just quite small. I noticed there was just one waitress and one chef. That could put a damper on things if the restaurant got full. Even though it wasn't full, it still took more than 25 minutes to get our dishes because the chef had to prepare dishes for a couple who came in to order takeaway. It meant we had to wait longer, which was annoying, but the waitress was nice, so I couldn't complain. Now when the food arrived, a few things to note. My dish of goat curry was really watery. Some corn flour to thicken the sauce would have been nice, but then again, I have noticed Carribean curry is always watery. My partners oxtail was a bit watery too. The waitress also didn't provide all the complete cutlery, so we had to keep calling for spoon and this and that which again was annoying. The meat in each curry was cooked to perfection I must say but the sauces, just too watery. I ordered a tropical punch and what the waitress showed me was readymade bottles of cocktails that she poured into a glass and added ice. I didnt even taste the alcohol yet this was supposed to costing almost £10. Their cocktails are really expensive, by the way. The cheapest is £9.75. I've been wanting to visit this restaurant. Been there now and that's it. Next.

Amazing Chicken Stew with rice and peas. The meal was just out of this world, take a step into 7Even and I guarantee you that you will love the food. You will not be disappointed, it was simply delicious.

I ordered curry goat and rice and peas no gravy dry meat.i also order jerk chicken. No jerk seasoning on chicken just a pot of sauce to pour over it.. this is the poorest yard food I have ever had..coming like a Jamie Oliver meal ..I am not one to leave reviews but £31 really

My friends and I enjoyed a lovely meal at 7even Restaurant on Friday. The service was great, the food was delicious at a good price and lovely music was played to entertain us. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you to the waitress and the chef.

If you are looking for real authentic Caribbean food this is the place for you. I went there for the first time almost a year ago and since then have been coming back every week. Friendly, polite staff and the interior restaurant looks amazing!! My personal favourite dish is the Jerk chicken however the oxtails is scrumptious too!! Would recommend to everyone!!

The coconut rice and peas and oxtail was great. The fried chicken was ok but not to the same level.

Horrible restaurant. Found a hair in my food, when I told her, the chef denied it and tried to blame it on me, saying she was wearing a hair net. She later deducts it from my order (after I showed her the hair on a napkin) and I don't get served for another 20 minutes, until we ask them if the food is coming. My friends were done eating by the time I got my food again. Servers were equally rude and have no costumer service skills. Portions were small for the price paid. Will never return there again, as I have never been so rudely treated in a restaurant before.

We went here on a whim after shopping so didn’t really have an expectation but I was incredibly surprised with how the food was cooked to such a high standard. I ordered the escovitch fish which was cooked to order and it was so large and crispy yet moist. Mum had the brown stew chicken and loved how they did not skimp on the sauce. My sister and son had fried chicken and my son ate the whole lot (and he’s a fussy eater). The flavour of everything was top notch, every element fresh and tasty. Keisha is such friendly server, treating every guest so mannerly. A lot of the Caribbean restaurants in the area have dropped the years so it’s nice to have one that raises the bar again. We’ll be back again :)

Pleasant,helpful and cooperative staff. Food was good except for the macaroni cheese and the mint in my Mojito could have been fresher.

Had fish meal with rice and peas, Mac and cheese on the side. Fab meal was really really impress. Im not very particular to buy jamaican food as most time the food dosent taste right.But having this meal exceed my expectation. Would recommend 100%.The portion was huge had to take away the left overs. Order jerk on a separate occasion the taste was just right, well season to bone.one of the best jerk.

Amazing Service. Took my Aunt who was visiting from Canada to my fav spot. I literally cannot fault the service. What am Experience. The Strawberry Darkary was too die for. My meal was second to none. My Aunt could not stop raving about the foot, she even suggested the owner move to Canada to open a new Resturant as she would hit it big time.(LOL) This is my regular spot but each time it’s a new vibes. I recommend the spot to everyone and talk about reasonably prices for good authentic Caribbean food. We even took our left over home and it was just so much food. 5 star for a great afternoon out.

I don't usually write reviews but I feel this is important because it feels like we have experienced daylight robbery. Tonight, I thought it would be a good idea to get some Caribbean food for the household where everybody was up for it. I went to my regular place where I would place an order but sadly did not go through as soon as I ordered they were stopped taking orders. As we all still what did Caribbean food by pursued to find another restaurant which is when I found 7even Caribbean Restaurant. To start with, everything that I wanted to order the price was already twice as much compared to what I was going to pay at the other restaurant. I was expecting it to be better because of this but when it had arrived it was a whole different story. My peppered prawns did not come, the jerk chicken did not have any flavour and was burned to a crisp on one side, the rice and peas was dry and had a really distinct coconut taste to it, the macaroni cheese for what I paid was a awful portion as it hardly fit the container and the coleslaw was not coleslaw. I must give credit where credit is due and say that plantain and the jerk chicken wings wasn't too bad and was acceptable. It’s a shame however that the rest of the order was a total disappointment. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again as prices are not matching of the same standard. I have eaten from the other Caribbean restaurant I was going to order from and their food is much cheaper and should be charging what this restaurant is doing.

The food was amazing, out of this world! The steamed fish was delicious and special orders also available upon request which was appreciated. Amazing atmosphere. Great bar area with a wide selection of cocktails. Staff brilliant with kids and catered for all our needs.

DECIDED TO GIVE 7EVEN RESTAURANT A TRY LAST WEEK AND ITS NOW ONE OF MY FAVORITE FOOD SPOT. I FELT AS IF I WAS SITTING COMFORTABLY IN MY OWN KITCHEN BEING GIVEN GREAT SERVICE AND FOOD. THEIR STAFF IS EXCELLENT... WISH I COULD GIVE THE FOOD A 100 STARS. WELL DONE TO YOU LOT.

Took my husband here for his 40th birthday meal. We were not disappointed! Absolutely fabulous food, we had jerk chicken and oxtail, and sides of rice and peas plantain, steamed veg, macaroni cheese and Coleslaw. The macaroni cheese was amazing 🤩. The staff Shanice and Keisha were so lovely and welcoming and the cocktails were to die for and not for the faint hearted 🤣. Wonderful experience will definitely be going back.

A really cool/chilled place to eat, great/friendly service and a fine selection of alcohol to go with the traditional jamaican food that will leave your tastebuds satisfied. They also have a dj that plays once a month on a Friday which helps set the tone for any celebration

I absolutely hate to leave a negative review… but sadly have to in the hope the management see this and improve… I called up for Mother’s Day, on the day and they said they had availability… great… we all turn up… no real welcome, after waiting a while we ready to order drinks, they are not serving alcohol today, I was lied to and told I had received a call back telling me this… obviously untrue… when ready to order, the kids ordered burgers off the limited menu… to be told they don’t have any burgers, finally offered a Childrens menu… after waiting another 10mins we decide to leave… not the greatest of experience… much love to the people, but you have got to do better x

Just received your food, ordered on Uber eats. Extremely poor quality, what a waste of time and money. Dried old chicken wings. Tasteless jerk chicken. Dry and flavourless Mac n cheese. Stew chicken tasted like it was 3 weeks old. 5 miserably cooked prawns with no taste.

Went a few weeks back and will definitely return. Great food and service. Very clean restaurant. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because what I wanted to order had finished. Great ambiance inside you feel like you are in the carribean.

I loved the food it was amazing! They took a bit long to give our order but it was because we had ordered a big meal. The Mac n Cheese was fabulous Me and Daughter in laws mother had fantastic soup. My grandson said he wanted this place to be rated 5 stars I really enjoyed my stay!I would recommend it to everyone I know

Ordered takeaway. I thought I'd give this place a try seeing the previous good reviews. However, the steamed veg and rice and peas were flavourless.I received the wrong flavour of wings. The £5 mac and cheese portion was so small, it was enough for three spoonfuls.The only redeeming quality was the jerk chicken itself. I wasted £25.

At first we were not sure whether to takeaway or sit in, because it looked like the food may be a long wait. Due to the ratio of diners to one lady making and serving the meals. Eventually we ordered to eat in the restaurant, and although there was a long wait for the food. It was worth the wait! The food was hot and delicious authentic Caribbean cuisine. The waitress was friendly and welcoming. Rum punch hit the spot, will definitely be back soon. Only criticism-needs more staff front of house and in the kitchen.

The food was tasty but be ready to be disappointed by the portion. I ordered oxtail and a side of rice and peas with plantain for £17 but instead got a bowl full of rice and hardly any meat, just bones, after waiting for nearly 2 hours for delivery. Good thing I was offered a refund because I would have been so livid.

Poor customer service, unnecessarily mean and rude. Never have I had such a poor experience at any restaurant than this place. The first time I ordered from them they got the order wrong I informed them and they replaced it. I have ordered from them since and they didn’t get the order wrong and the food was nice but today has been a horrible experience to the point that I returned home in tears and felt compelled to leave a review to warn others. They forgot my blue cheese dressing and I pointed this out. The woman then proceeded to inform me she forgot it because I intimidate her staff and that it is my fault which was pointed out to me several times, there wasn’t even an apology for forgetting part of the order in the first place. My daughter was going to order from them for her sons birthday in two weeks but has now been put off and will order from one love instead which is nearby and has excellent customer service. Please avoid this place at all costs. They were so rude I was shocked and appalled. Never have I been spoken to like that or made to feel so small.

Went to this Restaurant yesterday with my family the staff show Professionalism. I ordered Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas, Curry Goat with White Rice, Pasta Salad, we had Burgers and Chicken wings, Steam Fish the atmosphere was magnificent. The service was exceptional the place was very clean. The Manager was very friendly she speak to us in a kind friendly manner I would recommend this place to my friends and family I definitely will be going back. This is my third time going to 7even Restaurant I was there on opening night The Manager said this was all a dream it’s on her neon sign when you walk in through the first door you can take photos

Good atmosphere friendly staff 👌 food is very delicious i eat the steam fish 🐟 garlic prawns and rum and raisin ice cream and I did have couple of cocktails 🍸 I surely will be going back with my family 👪 😋

Ordered most of the items on the menus such as jerk chicken oxtail and curry goat fish tea soup garlic prawns. All were seasoned very well packed with flavour and the food was so fresh and tasty the staff are very nice and friendly I'd recommend you go here if your feeling Caribbean food . 10/10

Was looking forward to eating here for months but on the second day of opening I was greeted with old jerk chicken, microwaved to death. I bit into a few pieces thinking they were bone but was in fact hardened meat. The wings were supposed to be medium jerk chicken spice but we're extra spicy instead. I am so disappointed
