Delightful tasting menu at 63. They also have some beautiful artworks for sale decorating the walls! Soup was so good- white onion with a variety of enhancements. My favourite was the fish course- more seafood than fish- but quite delicious (I’ll Attempt to upload a photo!). I’d recommend making a detour to Perth to sample this restaurant.

In the interest of full transparency, we visited because the chef is an old friend, although we had never had the pleasure of a restaurant style meal cooked by him before. That being said, we were blown away by the service received as well as the food produced. Fraser, we are so pleased for you and Christopher with what you have created at 63, just wish it wasn't over 400 miles away.

Was kindly given a 4 course midweek voucher for 63 Tay Street which we used recently. We were made to feel very welcome from the get go, the food was EXCELLENT (and explained to us very well), the service was brilliant and the atmosphere was great too. Would thoroughly recommend giving this place a try - we will definitely be back! Thank you for having us!

We had the tasting menu at 63 Tay Street with friends. Every course was outstanding. The combinations of flavours and textures in the dishes was creative and made for a talking point round the table. The paired wines were beautiful and perfectly matched to the food. The atmosphere in the restaurant was spot on and service was perfect. Christopher’s explanations of the food and wine combinations were interesting. It is great to eat in a restaurant where all the ingredients have clearly been selected from local or Scottish suppliers whose produce is top quality. We will return to 63 Tay Street and thoroughly recommend the restaurant to anyone who appreciated good food and wine.

I'm lucky to have eaten out a lot over the last thirty years, in some fantastic restaurants. However, I can't remember a meal I enjoyed as much as I enjoyed last night's meal at no 63. Six courses, including an optional cheese course, paired with five delicious wines and a beautiful port.....everything was first class, and then some. The menu was clever, the flavours were intense and the whole experience was one I'll remember for a long time. I just wish we lived closer :)

A lovely meal @63 for a family birthday. It was a four course surprise menu and despite some family members maybe normally shying away from some of the ingredients we all tucked in and were very pleasantly surprised (I’m talking about someone’s dislike of a certain make of tinned tomato soup and an other’s normal dislike of eggs) such was the wonderful flavours no-one was disappointed and it was empty plates all round. We all felt it was very good value for the quality of ingredients and the high standard of cooking. Lovely wine and good chat from Christopher and Natalia front of house. If you are considering going then do and I hope you are lucky enough to be there on a night the wonderful @63 tomato soup is served.

Lucky to get a table at 63 Tay St for a family meal to celebrate a birthday . Atmosphere was relaxed and we were made to feel most welcome. Prosecco on arrival was lovely . We had the four course surprise dinner - started with tomato and wild garlic soup - wow , the best soup I have ever tasted , did not want to finish. The following dishes were equally delicious. I have been a few times now and each time Fraser has excelled with a new vegetarian dish. Front of house staff are excellent - knowledgeable and attentive . We had a fabulous night and I can’t wait to return. This restaurant is a delight 100% recommend a visit.

Husband and I went for lunch with 2 of our daughters as I’d been desperate to try the amazingly priced £38 for 4 courses. We had a suprise addition to our party in our 3 year old granddaughter and Christopher and Fraser were amazing at accommodating her despite her allergies and the fact that there’s no children’s menu, we’re very grateful to both Fraser and Christopher and very relieved she sat so well for the hour and a half! Our lunch was beautifully presented, with Christopher describing each course as it arrived, the flavours and textures were beautifully matched. I don’t know what I was expecting for £38 a head but the meal definitely exceeded all our expectations, absolute perfection from the Abernyte beer bread and butter through the soup, Shetland mussels, chicken with smoked broth and skirlie to the spiced pears and chocolate, each course was beautifully balanced. My only problem is our granddaughter wants me to freeze her grapes from now on! Looking forward to returning for the Just Feed Us Fraser at a later date and I won’t be driving next time as I want to try the wine flight! Thank you for a memorable lunch

We opted for the 5 course taster menu "Just feed us Fraser" with a wine flight which is optional. We were looked after by Natalia and Christopher during our visit which was Second to None. Everyone at the table opted not to know what each dish was before hand(except me 😂) this made it a more enjoyable experience for all when Christopher explains each dish in detail. He then explains which wine he has selected to accompany the dish and why it goes so well with it. I even ate a dish I had never tried and would never have ordered but it looked so good. To top off our visit Fraser the chef came to our table to chat with us which added to a memorable and enjoyable evening with great friends great food and excellent wine. Today I ordered a bottle of Andrew Quady 'Essensia' Orange Muscat I enjoyed it that much 😁 Thank you to everyone at 63 Tay Street for a most enjoyable evening and we hope to return soon

Sunday Lunch @63 Tay Street, what a treat. First time we’ve eaten there since the new chef Fraser arrived and we were very happy with the high standard of cooking. The Celeriac Velouté starter was simply outstanding, beautiful flavour and I would happily eat it every day. Main was tender Roast Beef and all the trimmings with big pillowy Yorkshire puds, yum! Pudding was Banna Sponge with Rum and Raisin ice cream, tasty but I was full up by them and couldn’t finish it. Apologies chef!! Christopher as always was attentive and knowledgeable and we were very happy with the table service from Natalia (who told us she is usually in the kitchen). My husband has coeliacs and this wasn’t an issue, he even had a g/f yorkshire pud, so was very happy.

What a very pleasant surprise! We travelled jp from Edinburgh to meet friends who booked but did not check restaurant out beforehand. Surprised to be told no menu but fixed four courses for £38! Good start! The food was delicious, innovative and beautifully presented - all fairly local produce (Peterhead monkfish tail coming from the furthest away). Run by two guys - chef and front if house. Enough said about chef. And front of house was welcoming, just the right amount of chat and someone who knew his wines and beers. Very good wine list. These guys do a 5 course fixed dinner menu too - we will go back for that soon!

People of Perth, make sure you visit this restaurant; its superb, a real gem. It serves superbly coked and beautifully presented modern Scottish cuisine with real flair and invention, adding twists to dishes that celebrate Scottish ingredients. We paired our lunch with the wine flights and so each of the four courses was enhanced by a different wine, that each time, fully complemented the food. I think it's a real addition to Perth's dining scene. I'm now planning how to incorporate a return visit into my next trip to Scotland.

We were greeted with a friendly welcome and served with drinks fresh bread and whipped butter. Once allergies and preferences are established the food is prepared and soon arrives. There is no menu or choice as such since it is a surprise tasting menu. The portions are relatively small but full of flavour, delicious and memorable. Starting with the oxtail and Chanterelles, the pickled herring with strawberries, Chicken ballotine and sweetcorn followed by a Raspberry celebration with a pine foam. Some unusual pairings and carefully crafted flavour combinations showing skill and finesse very like a Michelin establishment. This is not somewhere for comfort food or big steaks, but a well paced very enjoyable meal, allow about 2 & 1/2 hours.

We visited for lunch for the first time in a few months and almost unbelievably, the food was even better than the last time we visited. The four for £38 menu is astonishing value for food of this quality. The strawberry gazpacho was a particular standout but every course was exceptional. We will return again very soon.

I would have given a 5 star revue but for a couple of glaring issues. Firstly the -advertised price for lunch was £34 only to be billed £38 . No apology. No explanation. I Think it’s illegal advertising a price in the window and then charging more in the bill. Secondly I had an issue with my second course. Don’t want to expand on this. But at the very least there should have been a gesture to recognise the seriousness of the mistake. Eg a complimentary drink. Apart from the above the food and wine were excellent. However the cheese course at an extra £15 for 6 small pieces of cheese is a complete rip off. So avoid this.

Dreadful customer service. Our friends gave us a voucher for a very special birthday which we couldn’t use last year because we were both ill at various times. We did try to book in November but they are closed on the night we could make it. We’ve now tried to book this year but as the voucher is just a few weeks out of date they won’t honour it which seems ridiculous as the voucher was for two of the chef’s tasting menus and all paid for so they have had the money. We had actually already booked a table and Richard the manager was quite friendly but when he heard we were using a voucher (even though it was a gift voucher!) he suddenly changed tone and said he didn’t have the table available! We would have been spending a lot more than the voucher on wine and champagne as it’s a birthday celebration but he clearly didn’t care at all. It’s so shortsighted and speaks volumes about their attitude to good caring customer service. What a shame, we won’t be back.

An absolutely incredible place to dine! We had our wedding meal here since we weren't able to have a big reception due to COVID - It was hands down the best choice we made!!! Comfortably held 36 of us after the ceremony. We opted for a six course taster menu with matching wine flights. Throughout the evening you could literally hear people being wowed all across the room, with every new dish and wine. The food and a lot of the drinks were sourced locally and the chef has his own allotment so used his own produce. You could hands down taste the freshness and care put into each dish and when it's served accompanied by its own little story and brief detail on the wine, it just makes the whole evening feel that much more special! The whole experience, start to finish, was seamless. We met to look at our budget and discuss what we wanted. Shortly after we were sent a menu for us to review - loved how everything sounded and booked. We did some table decorations but kept it minimal as the venue has a beautiful set up as it is. The day came and they totally delivered on every front! Guests were talking about it for days and weeks after. An amazing success. We went back for a valentine's meal and can see ourselves doing a regular drop in. Thanks so much, we've been completely blown away 😊.

We'd been recommended 63 Tay Street when stopping over in Perth 4 years ago. It was a lovely meal then: 4 yrs on their standards are higher still. Post Covid, dinner is for now a set 5 course taster menu. I added the Scottish cheeses as an extra & we had one of the flights of wine, with a small glass of a different wine for eacheach course. Both chef & sommelier know their stuff: each dish cooked to perfection & wines to match. Service excellent with the small team trying to make it a special occasion for each table. Not cheap, but value for what you pay. Recommend strongly.

We made a reservation a few days ahead and one day before our supposed dinner we received a short email that only a “surprise menu” for ~50 £ pp would be available that night. We found that to be quite a disappointment, as the surprise menu which we received in a later email, didn’t offer any options for alternate dishes and consisted mainly of meat for the main courses. There were no vegetarian options available either which is just not what we would’ve expected from a modern restaurant. Our reservation was then cancelled when we asked if a a la carte menu was available. We know that the situation with covid-19 is a special one for everyone but it didn’t feel like the right way to treat you’re guests.

Excellent food and service, staff very attentive and welcoming. We had a GF guest, the staff had noted our request and food items were identified for this guest. We ate from the festive menu, excellent value for money. The restaurant was busy, lovely atmosphere a perfect way to start our Christmas celebrations.

Four of us visited on a Wednesday night and was not very busy, but bonus of deal for four course tasting menu, and matching wine turned out to be excellent. Each course was a very high standard and the glass of wine to accompany went down well. Definitely quality here and friendly staff. Look forward to returning sometime!

We booked a last minute weekend away for our wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere special and 63 Tay street fitted the bill. Great food, service and value for money.

We went to 63 Tay Street for our anniversary. We have been often over the years and it’s always been a pleasure. I’m not sure what went wrong this time. First, there was a large party in and a table of maybe twenty along one side of the room and three tables for regular clients. Perhaps that detracted from the atmosphere. In other places we have been alerted. I think it might have been a kindness to do so. On arrival, while there was a card for us, but the extra things, the generosity, was lacking. No amuse-bouche, for example. We had the normal dinner menu and it was all right without being stellar. For example, my partner had the rib eye steak which can be lovely, but this was thin, not the gorgeous pink slab of meat that one would expect. We also took the superior wines and again these were in smaller portions and lacked the generosity and interest of previous visits. Maybe Lucas helped too …We are really disappointed.

We had been for lunch on a previous occasion and liked it,I bought an Itison dinner voucher fof £55. That entitled us to the 6 course tasting menu for 2. We had a g &t; on arrival,no choice of gin, no garnish,a bit disappointing. The menu said Itison tasting menu, was that as oppose to the normal tasting menu, again, disappointing. We opted for the matcged wine £28 per pers9n.We found the wines unremarkable and the measures a bit mean. As for the food,4 courses were very nice and well cooked, cheese was disappointing, very small amount, dessert we were not fond of,just personal taste I think. I would not pay full price here, its ok if you get a deal, wouldn't have the matched wine either.

Restaurants can only be truly judged on their food.We had the tasting menu and it was superb. Friendly and welcoming staff. The pace of service was faultless. Would, without doubt, recommend 63 Tay Street. This is not a complaint, just an observation. The gin selection could do with a bit more thought and does not match the quality of the restaurant.

We have just finished the most delicious dinner at 63. The tasting menu was fantastic, every one of the five courses was really good, adventurous, honest and just beautifully cooked.

We had one of our best meals of the trip at Sandemans. All of the dishes were delicious, but the whole experience was even better because the sommelier was so knowledgable and took our meal to a whole other level.

It's a winner - Sunday Roast - tasty, moist and appetisingly served. Nice choice of starters and afters as well. Lovely ambidience. Very busy, sign of it's popularity?
