My wife and I asked a local where the best place was for a coffee, and she suggested 42nd East Bakehouse. This was at the Chipping Campden branch of the small chain. The coffee was good and the sweet treats looked tempting, so we decided on sharing one on account that we had already had breakfast. The guy behind the jump was really friendly and took the time to ask about our visit to The Cotswolds. The venue was clean and tidy and I'm glad we took the local's advice.

Little gem of a bakery with friendly welcoming staff. Yummy treats on offer along with tasty coffee. Prices were reasonable too

Service and food at Chipping Campden were top notch. Also impressed with the baby changing facilities. We came here after appalling lack of service at another cafe in Chipping Camden - so glad we did.

Great selection of cookie dough in different sizes, such as massive bowls to share and cookies! We got a cookie dough brownie and large slice of biscoff cookie dough pie, which was excellent value for the size! Really nice decor inside and wished we had time to eat in and try the brunch. Definitely a place to go for cake in stow!

Great range of cakes / pastries. The “cups” are a great size but not ideal to drink from; they appear to be made of bamboo but don’t have handles. Nice background music. Toilets are well equipped for baby changing etc.

Went past this place looked very plush, so wasn't sure if it was dog friendly, popped in and yes it was definitely dog friendly. Probably one of the best cappuccino I've had. Along with a chocolate donut Very friendly staff Got busy as we were leaving.

He was ever so friendly and very kind so thank you and Happy New Year! ☺️

Visited Stow over the festive period and ended up visiting this place twice. It was excellent loved the granola breakfast bowl and the choice of different baguettes. Coffee was also delicious. Would highly recommend

This is no ordinary bake house ! Try the lovely brunch it is excellent . I had the most delicious tomato mozzarella and avocado in toast , the best I’ve had in years !!! And the latte is a great generous size . This place is stylish and a great addition to the traditional scene in stow . I’ll be back when I’m next nr by

It's hard to get this place; firstly it has the most uncomfortable seating I have even seen in a coffee shop. Hard very low wooden stools minuscule tables and all in all not inviting . Staff are pleasant and coffee is good; the cakes are really awful. There is hardly any variety they all look the same as if the baker has made basic cookie dough and then moulded it in to different shapes with some kind of drizzle . Basic menu which provided a very unsatisfactory bacon roll with hard streaky bacon and expensive . Puzzling establishment does not seem to be set up for coffee shop proper - doubt if it will be around for long

Visited yesterday with our 1 year old, food and drinks were delicious. The biggest thing however which has led me to reviewing on here, was the baby changing facilities. When you walk past this cafe at first glance, it doesn’t appear overly baby friendly - purely in the sense that it is very stylish! They do however have high chairs, and when I went to the toilet to see if there would be somewhere to change my little one (I had already assumed not) - I couldn’t have been more wrong. I have never encountered such a wonderfully stocked baby changing area, free for anyone to use what they require. It was such a thoughtful touch and as a parent I just want to say thank you. (And for the sausage sandwich, because that was hands down amazing!!!)

Stopped in with my husband for a midday treat, as I wanted to try one of the amazing-looking cookies. The woman behind the counter was very nice about answering all of my many questions about the various sweet offerings. Ordered one caramel cookie, an almond croissant, and a couple coffee drinks. Decided to eat our treats there. Delivery of our order could have been a little faster, but they were very busy at that time, and the servers were friendly and gracious. We split our two bakery items - almond croissant was pleasant, though not French style (puffy rather than flaky). The cookie was absolutely incredible. To my surprise and pleasure, both were served warm. Even half of a cookie was bordering on excessive, but oh, so good…I’ve never had anything like it! Will happily return the next time I’m in town.

What a great spot! The avocado toast with tomatoes, pesto, and mozzarella was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. We had the window seat on a blustery, rainy day, enjoying watching the foot traffic while we ate breakfast and drank our mocha’s. Jade was lovely - such a help, with a welcoming smile! We even went back the next day, for our last day in Stow-on-the-Wold, splitting the avocado toast again, as well as a pulled pork sandwich (another tasty item). The place was very clean. If you like sweets, the desserts are artful. We didn’t taste any, but they looked amazing! Great spot for locals and tourists alike!

A beautiful coffee, bakery and breakfast place in Stow-in- the-Wold offered refuge in a particularly heavy rainstorm on our drive through the Cottswolds. The building appears newly remodeled with comfortable bench cushion seating and small low coffee tables. The food is amazing - bacon and sausage breakfast sandwiches with tomato chutney ( yum - we were skeptical but willing to take the risk). But the baked items are so appealing we finished breakfast with a “a sharer deep dish” ( cookie dough crust filled with caramel). Finally Jane and Lee were so amazingly friendly and gracious that I recommend this place as a 10+.

We visited their recently opened cafe in Chipping Campden, the first day in fact. The sausage sandwich and pancakes were delicious. The day was really hot so we sat outside. Although there aren’t many tables inside it was very well presented. The cakes look amazing so will be trying one of these next time we go 💪😋

Decided to visit this cafe for lunch as the smell when walking past was delicious. Initially our first impression was good. Although after ordering we were a little disappointed. Took a good while for the food to arrive even though we were the only ones in the cafe at the time! Also, very good music being played but was very loud. The one thing that really was annoying was the flies!! They were everywhere which really does need addressing. If we hadn't already paid for our food we would have left. Such a shame as the food we did have was very nice. Witha few slight changes this place could be very nice. Also impressed with baby changing facilities in the toilet (even though we don't have young children) but it was very nice to see that they had thought of their young visitors.

Fresh food, great service, child friendly too, what more could you want from a restaurant serving Sunday Lunch. We've just come back from Sunday Lunch at Roots + Seeds in Cirencester. Crispy beer batter on the fish, really chunky chips (not fries) silky smooth mushy peas pretty much a perfect combination. The young front of house team have been well trained to make everyone feel welcome too.

Since the restaurant has been taken over it is much improved. The food is good and is now realistic competition takeaway option for Khushi.
