I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews, and it’s upsetting I feel the need to do so for such a special place. My partner and I came here for our first date two years ago. We decided, whilst I’m back in the city, to revisit. We had excellent service from the young lady with glasses, who helped us decide on our drinks. We had two cocktails, and had a third round, but my partner, as he was standing up, knocked half of my third drink over. He apologised profusely and helped clean it up, and we decided to order one more round before taking our leave. The lady who seemed to be in charge for the night, a blond lady with very pretty makeup, was very rude to my partner when he tried to order at the counter, and said we had had enough and should leave. We were quite shocked by this, as we knew we were not disruptive, and we hadn’t visited anywhere else before coming here. In fact we only came out to visit cank street. In fact, the entire place was empty aside from another couple. I think they wanted us to leave so they could close, as immediately after we left, the same lady came out to start putting tables away, but ultimately she could have been much nicer about it as my partner was very apologetic. She was also quite rude, as I noticed outside she began dancing in the window when I made eye contact with her (my partner was telling me at the time that he had been cut off by her, and that the lady with glasses seemed quite awkward with the whole ordeal). We had a very special spot in our hearts for this place, but I do feel this service ruined the experience of it. We decided to have our final drink next door at 45 west instead, and their cocktails are just as good. We were going to ask their names, but figured we’d probably get fake ones. It’s a shame really. This was our go to for big dates and celebrations, but it’s pretty dead to us now :(

Went here after a lovely meal and just had the best time. Admittedly I ruined the evening afterwards being a complete idiot but Cank street + an amazing date is the best combo

Amazing classic and signiture cocktails and great atomosphere.

Not as good an experience as previous was made to feel in the way by the team and reminded constantly that we only had the table for 2 hours. I felt like a countdown to get us out and as they were busy it took quite a whole to get drinks so it took the edge off of our Birthday celebrations.

I can highly recommend joining their masterclass sessions. We very much enjoyed the Japanese whisky masterclass and learned a bit about each of the featured Suntory whisky!

It seems ok, except one person on the phone seems to keep saying how middle class it is, im from a nice area in leicestershire but im not bragging about it, yes this area of town is nice and im sure its an amazing but its for anyone who can afford it and of course to be polite to the staff don't get me wrong im sure its not showing off making sure they have high standards.

It is a tad pricey however it was one of the best cocktails I have ever had they are a world apart for the 2-3 quid extra you pay. Would highly recommend.

It's one of my favourite bars in Leicester ! Have been going here for a couple of years, and the cocktails never disappoint! Nice intimate setting with outdoor tables as well. Staff is always very friendly and has great recommendations. Their shots are a great way to start the night !

Had a cocktail making afternoon hosted by Xander who was not only knowledgeable but made the whole experience fun and pleasurable. Excellent cocktails and will hope to return soon.

Louder than I like which, for me, ruins the atmosphere but the cocktails were good and the service was great. Quite a high price point, but they put the effort into the presentation.

Nice pre drinks venue, decent music and fast table service

A brilliant fun early evening cocktail making session. We had a knowledgeable teacher in Xander and he was accommodating for all the group. Would 100% recommend if you want a cocktail making experience. The best one I have ever done!! 5⭐️

Outstanding cocktails. Best Caipirinha I have had outside Brazil, maybe the best ever. Pisco almost as good but too thick egg white. Pleasant people in a pleasant place drinking pleasant drinks made by pleasant people.

Such a great cocktail bar. Great chill vibe perfect to bring the mrs too or a few mates for a chill night. The barman was great with cocktails, and a great guy asked for his opinion and made us one out of my liking and was great will be here again.

Varied and interesting selection of cocktails.

A truly wonderful experience! We booked the cocktail masterclass for our anniversary and they didn't dissapoint. Will and Daria were informative, fun and an absolute pleasure. They really went the extra mile and made the whole experience. Would give them a 6 star if we could :)

I gave one star because the staff were so lovely, however sadly I was disappointed and it wasn’t what I expected. On arrival I was surprised that the entrance was to the side rather than directly off the out side area(which had a beautiful door) The main desk/ reception was right next to the door( it was more hairdresser salon than bar) The position meant that anyone behind would need to stand on the street( I’m glad it wasn’t raining… plus those who were exiting had to squeeze/wait to get out. The venue has so much potential… it is a shame that uncomfortable furnishings made it feel cramp and cold. The cocktails were pretty poor…. So much ice!!! and not even a full glass! Prices did not reflect quality and no umbrella in sight! They tasted as if it was just syrup poured over ice with a slice of brown banana, a leaf and 2 straws! We ordered olives(10) and home made humous(this lacked taste and very dry) it was served with bread sticks which were just snapped in half!(not a great look) plus they were not the best quality. I want to end on a positive… the music( it wasn’t live) was good. I genuinely was really looking forward to visiting. .

Met with an incredibly rude waitress yesterday evening. I arrived whilst my friends were paying their bill and she very abruptly told me "You're in the way. Go and stand outside, please". I may have been in the way, but she should have had the emotional intelligence to ask me to move elsewhere in the bar as opposed to ordering me to go outside on a freezing December evening. Will not be visiting again.

Our cocktail instructor was fabulous. Oana was a fountain of knowledge and was so enthusiastic, she made our experience wonderful. A great way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Definitely recommend

Made a booking on the 14th september for a birthday party. On entering the bar we were told they didn't have the majority of the ingredients for the cocktails which we were really looking forward to. We decided to leave as it was quite disappointing.

Such a great place to be drinking on the terrace enjoying a 2 for 1 on Sunday all day 🙌🏾 service was brilliant! ♥️

Nice unusual drinks, nice people and music

I love cank street it's a great experience and they are generous with the alcohol.. the drinks are really creative and great place if your on a date or with a group of friends.. they have a nice little outdoor spot with blankets which is also nice and staff at very friendly and the music is great.

A nice little bar with good selection of drinks.

Perfect quaint bar. Perfect for those romantic date nights. Friendly staff and the bartender clearly knew his work. Recommending drinks based on what you like and new ones you may enjoy. I had one which I wasn’t too keen on, too bitter for me, so he recommended another (bourbon shandy) which was amazing and I didn’t have to pay for the one I didn’t like! Will definitely come again.

For me it's the best cocktails in the city centre. Every one ive tried has been really well balanced, presented with style and tasty. The staff are friendly and the olives on ice are huge and yummy too.

Lovely place to go out for a drink, the only issue I had was the drinks menu.. They have a large selection of beers and if you're not a connoisseur then you'll struggle to get something close to your taste.

Perfect for a mid week couple of drinks with a friend whilst they were in Leicester. Well thought out cocktails, all with their own individual style made relevant to the local area.

I desperately wanted to enjoy this bar, but it was hard to settle down in here because of the range in the menu. Choice is great - but too much choice can slow things down as folks dither over what to order. I wanted to enjoy the drinks, too, but didn’t enjoy the cocktail choices. A great atmosphere, with extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Shame about the drinks.

Stopped by on Friday night and while we, understandably, didn't get a seat inside the outdoor seating was nice. Quick and good service. The drinks menu is nice and I love that they mark vegan friendly drinks.

Always had a great time here, made the mistake of turning up for a quick beer en route home without booking a table and they were, after having made enquiries, accompanying enough to put me up inside.

I had a fantastic time drinking the delicious cocktails to celebrate my birthday. The Manger/Hostess was wonderful and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time despite being very busy! Popcorn was wonderful!!! I'll definitely be coming back. For anyone going in the future that sits outside, they do provide plenty of blankets to wrap up warm!!

I booked through their online system, we got to the bar at the time I was booked to be told I'd not responded to an email I'd never received to give my mobile number. More than a little irritating as they could have just asked for my number at point of booking

The drinks are amazing, but the service can be really quite slow. We found it best to order two rounds at a time, and then order again when we had finished our first drink! It is on the expensive side of things as well, but they are very nice drinks. Probably a place to go every few months as a treat.

Quirky, interesting and great service

Loved this place. Went here for the first time on the weekend its a nice small cocktail bar with a range of cocktails which had quirky presentations for each cocktail. Had a great time friendly staff and a mature crowd.

Unique cocktail bar in St. Martins, great staff, Kal has done a great job with the place, highly recommend
