Went in on dinner break amazing service great coffee. Great atmosphere great staff.

We had 5 people go to eat and it took them 40 minutes to serve us. The waitress didn't know anything and on top of that the food was of very poor quality. It is not recommended to come!!!!

I’ve been hear for coffee a few time and food a few times and experienced long waits, the last time I was there I could see someone (who must have only been around 17) being refused their wage, which was incredibly awkward. For this reason I wouldn’t go back.

I went here last year to watch a comedy night. Was such a good do. They were all so funny and lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately I had 72 pints of beer and felt a bit sick. Every other person had 72 pints of beer as well as the busy crowd loved drinking and laughing. After we all had 72 pints of beer we all had a very large piss together which I must say the toilets coped with REALLY well xx

The cocktails we got were so so bad. Each one of them had a horrible taste. The lady working was nice and replaced the first ones but the second taste just as bad. They were cheap but not worth it.

I visited here with my friends for brunch. The cocktails were great and we enjoyed lots which were included in the price of our brunch.The staff were brilliant at serving us throughout. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

The star review above reflects the event management side of the business The pictures online are misleading of the event space so do not hold any event here without visiting first. The food is good for the type of venue it is but is not a reason to visit the venue. Xenia however is a star. Showing skill in the service she provides with a positive attitude and a professional attitude, 5 stars for her!

This place used to be one of my favorite spots in Northern Quarter, but Xenia (I think) ruined it unfortunately. She made unsolicited and judgemental comments about my relationship as I was having my drink made, which I really didn't need or ask for. Properly ruined the vibe. Xenia if you are reading this next time keep your opinions to yourself because no one cares!

Delicious food, very good prices

My friend was racially abused (unprovoked) on the 7th of December 2024. A man entered and started spouting hatred towards a member of our group, when the management of the venue were alerted of the situation they refused to do anything about it due to the fact the perpetrator was ‘friends with the owner’. Sickening that hatred like this is still rife and that venue such as this allows it to occur. Despite our entire group of 10 asking they remove the one individual they refused until we demanded a refund, it took a loss of money before they saw fit to make the perpetrators leave the premises (which they did with little real care and respect for our friend).

We visited as part of the Beyond The Music festival. The music venue is up a little stairway at the back and is a great compact little stage area. Acoustics were great for a punk set, and the low stage and compact space was great for a band willing to embrace it and head out into the audience for some of the solos

Had a great time here, food was really good. Came back later for the music and didn’t disappoint! 👍🏼

Been here quite few times now its Great venue always friendly staff behind the bar Live djs upstairs on 1st and downstairs but I prefer upstairs on 1st floor Its located in heart of Manchester City centre and conveniently opposite my bus stop home ... Also on 2nd floor is pool table and chill out room aswell. Venue serves food with huge variety of options on menu

First time visiting Manchester, stumbled upon this amazing bar and had bottomless brunch with friends. Service was amazing I was absolutely blown away. Food and cocktails were brilliant and such good value for money. Greeted with such a warm welcome.

Fun place to grab drinks, good cocktail offers - 2 for 10/15. Cool atmosphere too, they do small gigs upstairs!

We played a gig here tonight and Vanshika really took care of us, got us the band discounts and all! Really great venue, nice people and cheap drinks! The sound engineer Ted was amazing 10/10!!

The table was dirty when we first sat down and there was no offer to wipe it. The food was tasty but one my poached eggs was basically scrambled. The waiter apologised for this when he gave it to me but I don’t understand why it was served to me. This place isn’t bad but there are better around!

This concert was absolutely amazing 😍

We hired the club room here. We started late because of miscommunication about a gig before our event. We had paid for 10:30pm-4am. We got a good 11pm-2:40am. The power cut out but no one was there to fix it, so we lost out refunding people who attended. We were promised a refund but they ignored everything even after going in to ask for it. Even after earning them easily £1000+ in bar spends from our crowd they couldn’t even refund our money to hire the room. Do not do events here, terrible setup & greedy.

good atmosphere of customers but when it comes to quality of food and drink its a miss. warm pint glasses but cold food? make it make sense. quality control is really under the water with this place. also very poor hygiene in terms of the tables and overall venue. do not recommend.

I came all the way from york, As i got recommended this crap. The service i got given was terrible, Made me wait 15minutes for a strawberry diaquaria and got black Specs on the glass.

Food was fantastic, the hash browns are a god send, and the English breakfast was great quality food. Great vibe in here, love the music, nice and chilled and not too loud for my autistic son. Even if it gets too loud, staff are friendly and approachable to ask to turn it down a notch, very accommodating. Overall amazing service, great staff, would recommend and will be going again. Went here on Saturday night, 27 of us enjoyed bottomless brunch for my husband's 40th. Donna was really helpful in pre-planning the event with me. Her staff worked tirelessly bringing us cocktails, beers and mimosas up and down those stairs. Nothing was too much for them, service was friendly and polite. The food was fab, and so well priced! Definitely recommend!

My partner and I had breakfast, and the food was really nice, 2 for £10 on selected cocktails also The only downside is that the toilets are horrendous. I used the ground floor toilet, and I don't think it had been cleaned from the night before (Friday) it stank, and there were faeces all over the back of the toilet, my partner used toilet on the first floor and that was just as bad. If I had used the toilet before I had ordered/ate my food, I wouldn't have eaten there!! Hire a cleaner or fire the one you have!!

Got a milkshake and it was basically water and not flavourful at all. Not much customer service unfortunately, was barely greeted and tbake wasn’t cleaned. Vibes over all with music were good

We chilled out in the top room for a bit, it kind of felt like a student common room.m and was a bit of a strange vibe. The selection of drinks was good and not too expensive. I’d give it another go, maybe we went at the wrong time.

It was my first time at the bar on 33 Oldham Street, I was there to see some friend's band VIVA MORRISSEY and I wasn't disappointed, awesome night, great atmosphere. The bar is downstairs is quite intimate it's small but well stocked, serving craft beers and cocktails and there's bench seating as soon as you enter the premises. It's on 3 floors and on the first floor were the band played, the capacity is around 120 but ideal for parties and social events. On the second floor there was a pool room and toilets, and on the ground floor there's a disabled toilet.

Such a lovely spot for brunch on a Sunday. Staff were super efficient and friendly. Veggie breakfast was on point and the bread was sooooo good. Makes a change from the artisinal sourdough flogged everywhere these days.

Good place to watch a live band, small bar on ground floor, but venue appears to be spread over three floors with DJ's providing alternative music choices. Good vibe to the place.

Visited for breakfast and the food was delicious. Opted for sausage and hash brown bagel. One staff member was a little abrupt but the others were nice and friendly. Think our order was originally forgotten about as there was an issue with the till when ordering. Things seems a little chaotic when we first arrived. We had to reorder our drinks and the abrupt staff member had to come and take out food order again. That being said, we didn’t wait too long for the food and when it did arrive it was hot and fresh. Even though we had a few issues we will be visiting again because the food was delicious, hot and freshly prepared. The price as also very good- £15 for 2x hash brown and sausage bagels with 2x large glasses of fresh juice.

Friendly staff + lovely brunch! Instagram worthy food and cocktails in Manchester. Perfect for brunch with friends with 2 for £5 cocktails. Would definitely recommend avocado + egg on sourdough and sex on the beach cocktails.

Sunday lunchtime. Wife had full English. Me and the kids fresh pizza. She said everything was cooked beautifully, nothing over seasoned.

I’ve been to 33 Oldham St for gigs in the past and it’s a decent small venue. We visited for food this weekend though and it was excellent; the staff never stop working to serve & the food is great. It’s my new go to place for breakfast when I’m Manchester. Keep up the good work folks.

Went here today with my boyfriend and was served originally by one lovely girl, the other two were rude stood on there phones the whole time and didn’t even acknowledge my boyfriend when he asked for a simple request, just nodded their heads. Food was ok but then realised I was served 6 week out of date mayonnaise and when I told one of the servers they said ‘oh god’, made me feel so nauseous. Absolutely shocking service not even an apology, but we received our refund by the lovely server who originally served us. As people visiting Manchester for the weekend this was really disappointing, couldn’t recommend less.

I've not eaten here, so can only refer to people I know who said they liked it! Great drinking spot, smart decor, fancy soundsystem for the music nerds - it's a cool place for sure. There's gigs here too. Lovely stuff.

Top venue top night good prices on beer

We stayed in an apartment across the road , so no 33 Oldham street was our local. Josh was the barman and kept us well and truly entertained. He played the music that was asked for and the whole place was dancing together ( this was a Monday and Tuesday night too. We were there until 1 am went to see Diana Ross first and finished of here, 2 nights running. Well done Josh, great young man.see you again on our next trip to Manchester. Some great deals on drinks too. Tried quite a few cocktails too 🤓

Lighting in gig room needs improvement. I have been on multiple occasions and there is a random spotlight in the middle of the stage, which is unnecessary.

Really would NOT recommend this place for food, brunch specifically. Me and my friends went here for the first time today and were extremely disappointed with the food that was served to us. I ordered the pancakes and my friends ordered the full veggie and full English breakfasts and none of us left feeling satisfied. My pancakes were one of the worst things I’ve ever ate, there was 3 pancakes and 2 were burnt and 1 was completely raw, it was disgusting. There was also barely any compote given with them. My friends breakfasts were also barely warm and unpleasant tasting.

Very helpful staff and generally a good atmosphere.. However, all the booth seats are broken and fall through when you sit on them 😅 The cocktails could also do with abit of a vamp up to meet competition in the NQ area 💁🏻‍♂️

As a group of friends we visited this bar on the way back to hotel. Initially we liked the atmosphere and music and not too busy. Whilst ordering drinks at the bar the staff were starting to make lame excuses for lack of glasses and when we ordered two glasses of wine they told us that they would bring them to the table. We asked for a specific wine and after a long delay noticed one of the bar staff pop across the road to a shop to buy one. On her return they served us the wine in 2 gin glasses . We quickly realised this wasn't the wine that we ordered and to confirm we popped over to the shop to ask if they stocked it and they said no. My point is that I have no problem with the fact they didn't have any wine available for us at the time and using their initiative. It's the deception of miselling a product . When confronted she denied that this was the case but couldn't or wouldn't show us the bottle. We won't be returning.

7 of us called in for breakfast on Sunday morning. Excellent food extremely tasty, matched with a high level of service. Highly recommend

As another reviewer commented, they seemed quite disorganised when we were in. We ordered teas and breakfast pancakes together. The teas took a while to arrive, but we had still finished them before any sign of our breakfast appearing. A table which arrived after us had got their breakfast by this stage. We had to ask about where it was half an hour after ordering, at which point they couldn't remember what we'd ordered and had to reconfirm with us. When it finally did arrive, the sausages seemed both overcooked, chewy and a bit on the small side. The pancakes were nice, but they weren't very big. I don't think we'd come back here.
