My husband and I hired out this venue for a suprise 60th birthday party last sunday, and we was not dissapointed! WOW! It was superb!!! The owners, manager and kitchen staff could not have been more professional, friendly and helpful! Even to the point the music in the venue was tailored to fit our surprise birthday guest!!! FAB! The food was utterly amazing!!!! We even took food home provided on trays by the staff. We had food allegies and every step was taken to ensure their needs were met. We were over the moon with both the service and the environment. Would very highly recommend this place 👌

Loved this cafe. I was visiting the UK and ended up not just having breakfast here but returning for lunch and afternoon tea to. Breakfast was soo good, no greasy stuff left on the plate. Very accommodating when I wanted to swap the black pudding for extra mushrooms on my full breakfast. I’m quite fussy about the sausages I eat and I have to say the ones on my breakfast were just lovely and very tasty. I’ve had the club sandwich. Jacket potato, spinach and mushrooms on sour dough and of course I’ve had cake too. I will most definitely return when I next land in the UK. Oh, the staff were extremely friendly as well. I give credit to all that work there.

I had not realised till I went in that there had been a change of ownership but it was immediately apparent, the place seemed a lot lighter & had a different feel to it. The staff were very friendly and the food was tasty & well presented. The menu had just the right amount of options in my opinion & there is something for everyone. I was with my mum and we both thoroughly enjoyed what we had. I will certainly be back & have already recommended it to friends.

My wife, daughter and I visited Wilson street today for an afternoon bite to eat and a coffee. We chose Wilson street because we’ve been several times before and have enjoyed previous visits. However this time we were disappointed, they have changed the menu somewhat, and increased their prices somewhat more. We ordered a couple of toastie sandwiches, which were just 2 slices of bread with a meagre filling, a coronation chicken wrap and 3 coffees, which came to a total of £30.80. The surroundings were pleasant enough although nothing outstanding, the staff were friendly and helpful, however for that price I would certainly have expected more in either quantity, quality or both.

I love this cafe, it's very close to my heart and to my (old home) It's an old favourite that I was delighted to return to when visiting Hull. Not far from, not only where I used to live, but where I grow up too. When coming back to visit, I had the joy of coming back here again, the last time (in May) for Breakfast, were I had the full English and that was amazing! and then this week, this time for lunch and I had a Panini that came with a lovely side salad too. It was fantastic. This is a great place with great food and great service. Really awesome menu with a great choice of food and drink. Very warm and welcoming staff who are very helpful, polite and professional. It's been a pleasure to come back and visit again and I look forward to the next time as well. See you all soon!

We came across this cafe after finding that our intended venue had in fact stopped a seated dining service and it turned out to be a very good thing indeed. We were given a warm welcome and provided with a reserved table but well within our time parameters. Three of our party had the large breakfasts and I had the club sandwich that was very tasty. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the cafe and when travelling in these parts agin we will definitely return.

I visited with a friend for a weekday lunch. We found a table easily. We usually have a light lunch of soup and bread. It is always home-made and flavoursome. There were 3 different choices of soup on this occasion. We chose chestnut and chorizo which sounded a bit different. We were offered a choice of bread or cheese scone to accompany the soup, and we went for the scone. It was delicious soup and the scone was equally tasty and extremely filling. Service was friendly. With a hot drink the bill was about £7.50 each which we thought was good value as usual. We will definitely return!

Having never been to this cafe or heard anyone talk about it I thought it would be nice to show somebody support of a little al business. Been a vegan I wasn’t sure if they would have had much of a selection for me but having looked at the menu it was clear they catered for everyone. I ordered the breakfast stack minus the eggs to take away. This consisted of tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach, which I was more than happy with. Whilst waiting only a short time, I heard a microwave ping and moments later my food was ready and I was warned by the lady it would be very hot! I left the shop and 5 minutes later I was tucking into my food. This is where it gets disappointing. The bread had gone to utter mush so I had to put it in a plate and cut around the sludge. The mushrooms had a very odd texture which must be from microwave cooking, the spinach was ok but it was the tomatoes that gave the whole thing any flavour. None of the ingredients had been seasoned what so ever. From cooking from fresh all the time at home I know it takes only 5 minutes to fry off some mushrooms in garlic, tomatoes in some rosemary, spinach in some basic salt and pepper, done! Coplands tomato and mushroom sandwich has much more flavour for a fraction of the price.

Having been here for coffee some time ago, I decided to visit for something to eat with a friend. We both ordered sandwiches off the menu, which had a vast range of options including toasties and breakfast options. Our sandwiches were both lovely and came well presented. We both however commented that the ham (which was hand-carved style) was a bit fatty and we would have preferred leaner, sliced meat. This is however by no means a criticism and we both enjoyed our meals. The only thing I can say is the cup sizes are a bit small for me, I like a large coffee! We will without a doubt return to sample more of their extensive menu.

A group of 4 of us had salads, sandwiches, burgers and sides of wedges and the most delicious "planks" which were rounds of roasted and seasoned potatoes. We shall be watching out for the "posh nosh" evenings which sound amazing.

I haven't been here since it's changed names but I think it's still really nice. Very relaxing atmosphere and very family friendly. Really friendly and welcoming member of staff behind the bar even though she was really busy.

Been here a few times recently, the place has a good ambience and nice layout. A late breakfast was very good, coffee and cake stop another day when the cake was rather dry and a late lunch on Saturday, where although not busy the tables weren't cleared. Our two menu's had different specials pages and the description of the Lamb Kofta burger was different again on the board, this came still quite red in the middle, could have gone back but don't mind lamb a bit underdone, whereas the New York burger was to the point of being overcooked.

Stuck a pin in a ( google) map to find a breakfast one hour away from leaving holiday accommodation. What a find. Interesting decor showed off the home made cakes and savouries whilst we waited a few minutes for a table. Breakfast avocado with poached eggs on sourdough bread, sun dried tomatoes, chorizo and pea shoots was divine and substantial. Staff were friendly and obviously enjoyed serving and cooking as much as we enjoyed eating. Make a detour. Worth every mile and every penny.

A gem of a cafe, lovely staff, quality food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even making up a takeaway salad box and a sandwich to be collected later. Plus the cafe is dog friendly....

We visited over Easter and loved all the little chocolate eggs hidden around the cafe - kept the kids entertained whilst they waited for their food! Lovely cafe with a great menu. We ordered a range of different food but loved the halloumi burger and cheeseburger especially. It’s great that dogs are allowed in this cafe but as we don’t own a dog, even better that there are two areas - one for dogs and one where dogs aren’t allowed. Service was quick and with a smile, reasonably priced too for restaurant quality food. The only improvement needed is the toilet area - could do with a update!

I don’t often go into bakery shops but we were visiting Driffield today and spotted that there was a small seating area inside at the front of the shop and a larger area further in. We were ready for coffee and a snack The shop is obviously very popular as I had to join the queue but it gave me the opportunity to look at what was on offer. Vastly superior quality to what is available in other chain bakery shops and very well priced. I don’t eat bread but the sandwiches were definitely calling to me!😹
