Called in with my partner last night,had a chat with Dean(Bar manager)a smashing guy who bought us both a drink,so kind of him!! All the best my friend,great gesture nice pub

Excellent venue,very welcoming. We came here for drum and bass following General Levy gig at The Cheese and Grain. Great place to dance..Such a good atmosphere. Perfect ending to our night out. Will visit again. We'd travelled from Devon. People in Frome are very lucky to have such great venues.

Worst pub in town, manager is constantly littering the town with lame flyers and stickers with his own name on saying who the hell is Tobey Spin? Spoiler Alert no one cares! your 40 odd stop acting like a kid and also stop serving them drinks...

Trash pub, served 17 year old girl. Half the staff are on coke or aware of its sale on premises. Contacted Jo Whileys management team to make them aware of venue issues.

Absolute gem of a pub with hospitality to match. Came in on a quiet Sunday afternoon where we were greeted by friendly locals and Dean - the bar manager who went out of his way to accommodate us. Felt like it was 'our local' in less than 5 minutes of being there - has a very 'genuine' and friendly feel - will definitely be going back next time we are in Frome, 5 stars in every way.

Great friendly venue. Great music, lots of curated nights and well known acts playing. Friendly atmosphere. The loft bar can be hired for private parties and there's an awesome outdoor area with seating and a pool room.

23 Bath Street has given me something special, a family away from mine. Somewhere to come out of my shell and actually party and enjoy life. I have not met one grumpy member of staff or management here. There is ALWAYS something to do when they are open. Something for everyone, from Bingo to Sunday Fundays for families and kids. And you can't forget the great music events! Nicely priced drinks with a cracking selection. Never be afraid to ask for recommendations on drinks from the knowledgeable bar staff!

Was a very good place to go from my friend's party. nice spacious room upstairs with a balcony area and Terrace. only thing I didn't understand was that security stopped people going out on the terrace after a certain time.. 🤔🤔X

One of our favourite places went to a family day here which was fantastic

The reason for this poor review was due to the attitude (and most likely law breaking behaviour) of the bar staff and manager in the venue. I am a disabled person, who broke my foot simply walking due to a disability I have. I was due to be going in a wheelchair but was well enough to go without it this night according the doctors I had seen that week. To enjoy the music and spend time with my friends, I moved a bar stool to rest my foot on the very edge of the fairly quiet dance floor). I was told in an aggressive manner by one member of staff that I was not allowed to move the furniture (there were tables on the dance floor, apparently these weren't a hazard but one stool on which I was resting was). This was in spite of calmly explaining that I am disabled and this is a legal reasonable adjustment. He just took the stool away. I was not rude to him at all, just calmly stated the law but the way he talked to me made me feel like a naughty child. That is really unacceptable. I then went to speak to the manager in the hope that I would get this sorted. The manager repeated the message of the bar staff that I was not allowed to move furniture for the safety of other people (again, hazards already present on the dancefloor, and also my wheelchair would have been much more of a hazard). I once again calmly (and I was sober for the record) explained that I am disabled and this is a reasonable adjustment to allow me equal access to the dancefloor. He continued to deny me a stool, even in the corner. I explained that in line with the equality act, this was a reasonable adjustment. I (calmly, of course) asked what his suggestion would be to make this accessible for me. He told me I shouldn't have come (this was the bit that angered me the most), and the only option was to sit on the edge of the dance floor. I felt marginalised, discriminated against, and understandably, extremely upset. I suggested that they might be contravening the equality act and that they were on shaky ground legally (again, calmly, despite the hurt I felt inside). The manager disagreed and quoted health and safety. I explained that I was going to come in a wheelchair and he said "well we do have wheelchair access". That does not help a disabled person who is not a wheelchair user. Luckily, I knew the promoter of the event (Doof! A 90s Rave) who said "this is supposed to be inclusive" and immediately went and spoke to the fantastic security staff who told him and me that I was of course allowed any adjustments I needed as long as I didn't block the fire door. And that that was just common sense, let alone the law. They then went and told the bar staff that this was the case. I was not harassed again by the bar staff. As a result of this, for most of the night, I felt ashamed of being disabled and that I was causing a fuss. This is beyond unacceptable to be treated like this in the UK in 2022. No disabled person should be made to feel like that. Not all disabilities are visible. It is not just wheelchair users that need accessibility adaptations. Sometimes they are a little more unusual, but I really did not think a stool on the dance floor was particularly unusual. I strongly suspect it's just ignorance rather than maliciousness (unless they're homophobic because I do really look quite gay. If ignorance is the case, then PLEASE learn the law. I am not going to make any kind of claim against you but you could stand to lose a lot of money if you don't make your venue accessible to people with disabilities. I'm more than happy to upgrade the star rating of this venue if I receive a full and sincere apology from the manager, and a promise to gain (and train their staff in) a true understanding of the Equality Act 2010, because the venue was a great little place for a party, and the rest of the bar staff were very pleasant to me. Don't let yourself down again please, 23 Bath Street.

More of an entertainment venue but still a great pub. Friendly staff. Nice garden at the rear. Music and DJ nights. Sadly no draught ale but nice bottled beer. Worth a visit.

Sunday roast was very nice didn't leave a thing

The staff were really welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed an absolutely delicious and very generous Sunday roast! We are not local and stumbled across this pub by chance, walked in as a group of 6 and the team were very accommodating. It's a very earthy, no frills kind of pub but I would definitely return and recommend. The team also went above and beyond in returning my bracelet that, unbeknown to me at the time, had dropped off whilst in the pub. Elfin was brilliant at making sure the bracelet was returned to me really promptly which meant a lot as it was a special birthday present. We hope to be back when we're next in the area!

Drinks are a great price - easy to do rounds. We played pool tonight which has its own hut in the back where you can play your own music! Great for a get together with friends (and if you're nervous about covid, you and your mates could just go in the pool hut and play :))

Great venue that has an apres-ski type vibe to it. Decent dance and bar area with a large, covered outdoor area. Perfect for after parties at the Cheese and Grain.

Food was OK. Place is quite cold inside.

What a find!! Lively bar and night spot

We went for Sunday Munch. It was so fantastic, we had a table of 8, and we all thought it was the best Sunday dinner we have had in a long time.

Stunning Sunday lunch. Best of its type I've had out in ages. Generous portions, really tasty meat veg and giant Yorkshire pud. And all for £12.95. What's not to love!

Such lovely service tonight, a mistake was made with a vegan chilli order and the staff couldn’t be more apologetic, kind and courteous, so grateful for a really lovely meal, fab food and brilliant atmosphere, 100% recommend eating here!

Ordered vegan fries but came as veggie, staff were fantastic at sorting out and gave complimentary G&T - fries were amazing to boot

Awesome little venue! Been here a few times since I moved to Frome and enjoyed ever single visit! The bar staff are all really nice, as well as the door staff being very fair and nice too! Cool pool table set up in garden , and separate club area up top. Huge variety of events to attend, all very reasonable to get in too! Highly recommended a visit to this place

Had so many good nights here. Toby and Lark are the most welcoming of hosts for musicians and DJ's playing in the venue. All the bar staff are friendly and polite, the bars are reasonably priced and facilities always clean. A range of different music is hosted pretty much every week so it caters for everyone. In a small town like Frome the amount of production and thought you get for the entry ticket is fantastic. Its a hard thing to get right and this place is thriving which really says something about the running of it. So - you want good booze, great bands, clean toilets, nice people and a party? Its a good bet and dollar well spent on the door i'd say.

Most of the time its very good. Never been a fan of being charged to get in for what really is just a pub.

Music was ok, strong smell of urinals occasionally wafting through. Good bar with low prices, would go again.

Good games venue on a Sunday, board games as well as old console games, great variety of beers, ales and ciders.

This place has been such a breath of fresh air to Frome since Toby and Lark took over. Superb acts on many occasions and I have met so many people from other towns and citys that have come to enjoy a good night out here. Keep it up guys.

The bar has a good selection of beers and the staff are attentive and polite. This is the best pub music venue in town, that offers a varied choice of bands. We've played there three times and the staff were brilliant on each occasion, helping us set up and sort out the sound.

Great venue run by an awesome team who love music. Not many venues in Frome to have a late dance and listen to quality live music and djs. The loft bar upstairs is also great when wanting to grap a chin wag. Very fast service and friendly staff. Keep up the good work

Lovely venue with big courtyard, terrace and 2 separate bars. I was gigging their last night and staff friendly, good vibe 😊🎉

The goat ropers rodeo band were fantastic

started off as a sick night, music and bar staff were amazing. However the security let the whole venue down by being so rude and ruining our night. I went with my friend into a toilet cubical and she was going to the toilet when I saw the sign saying two people cant be in a cubical together, so as we got out the cubical to go into separate ones the female toilet security told us to get out and grabbed my friend pretty aggressively. We tried to explain to her that we were going into seperate toilets but she was completely refusing to listen and was being SO rude. Shoutout to one of the male security guards who let my friend get her stuff from inside considering the woman didn’t care at all, the event had literally 30 mins left and when we were sat outside in the pouring rain 2 other girls got kicked out for reading poetry in the toilets despite having the poetry in their hands to show the security lady. We paid £10 to get in and got kicked out half an hour into our friends DJ set, we were there to support the local venue and this doesn’t happen in venues around Bristol and Bath, seeing as this is the case we’ll be pretty reluctant to return.

This place has just had revamp with great improvements. Nice size bar area and great court yard. The new toilets are great. Worth a visit.

This is a very family friendly pub with lots of events and helpful staff. It has really interesting decorative touches and serves cocktails which is always a winner with me!
