Usually a good place to drink, however before 10pm we were told that the bar was closed (with no prior warning) and had no other choice but to leave. A real shame as we've had positive experiences here before but it seemed like the staff simply didn't want to serve any more that night.

What an absolutely fabulous little bar this is! My friend and I popped in after being recommended by a friend and I'm so so glad we did! The decor/atmosphere is beautiful and the board games available add a fun twist to the place. I, unfortunately, did not catch the names of either bartender on duty when I visited (30/6/23), which is a real shame because I'd love to mention them specifically if I coud. They were both kind, funny, friendly and chatty and provided excellent customer service. My friend actually left her phone in the bar and one of the bar tenders caught up with us further down the road to give it back. Absolutely above and beyond customer service and all done with a smile! As for the drinks themselves: I consider myself a bit of a margarita connoisseur and I have to say, the ones I had here easily broke top three I've ever had. Absolutely delicious, perfectly balanced, perfectly made and perfectly served. Cannot find a single thing to fault it on, was absolutely overjoyed with it. An absolute hidden gem of Glasgow. Will be back again and again and have already recommended to several friends!

I went to 226 as I was craving a burger and knew they had gluten free options. I ordered and informed I was celiac and when it arrived I had to double check it was GF as the bun looked so normal, I was reassured. The chips were skinny chips which I was disappointed off as last time they had been thick chunky chips. 1 hour later start to feel unwell and realise I am having a reaction to the point where I was throwing up for 2 hours which shows the amount I had. I phoned and was told I would get a call back from a manager, 3 days later I still had not. Phoned back again got a very apologetic woman and said an investigation would be carried out and I would get a phone call back, I received one voicemail no information just asking I called back no other attempt. I phoned back a few days later and had a lad tell me with attitude that the manager had tried me several times. I then spoke to a male manager who oversees the kitchen, when I asked if they did 2 types of chips it turns out they had either borrowed chips or gone to the shop and they were not gluten free. No refund just a promise of a couple of drinks on the house was meant to receive this information by email and nothing. Shocking service and if the staff don’t have the due diligence to check the packaging for allergens I would not risk it at all.

I went out on the town in Glasgow for the first time for ages and thought I would have no problem getting into places as restrictions were mostly lifted. Unfortunately I picked the last weekend of the month, the first day of the new football season and the last weekend of a local Glasgow holiday fortnight so everywhere was booked out. As a result of this I had to look a wee bit further out of town and I found a real hidden gem. It’s a new pub (old Bairds bar recently refurbished) and what a great night we had. The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them. They served everybody really quickly and efficiently. We ordered the prawn skewers, chicken wings and a portion of chips which were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced at £15 for it all. There was plenty for both of us. I really recommend this bar if you’re looking for a decent, reasonably priced night out. I will definitely go back. 5⭐️

Reserved an area for 10 people to celebrate our dad's retirement but when we showed up, we were told there was nothing available and if we wanted something we had to wait. Been in a few times and enjoyed it, but definitely won't be back.

What a lovely way to start the day. My pal and I on a bit of a big cycle around Scotland, decided to stop here on a Wednesday morning, thanks to it being recommended by our waitress the night before. We locked up our bikes and headed over to naked soup dropping our heavy backpacker bags at a table before heading in to order. 1 confit caprese bagel 1 chicken and sun-dried tomato bagel 1 curried cauliflower soup 1 roast squash soup Absolutely stunning. The soups are super smooth and soul warming. The bagels are perfect accompaniments, dipping them into the soups to get this complete mouthful of flavours. This is not just a one time place to go and enjoy this is a spot to make your daily go to a part of your routine if you are a local. I'll be getting the train back up from London with the plans of stepping inside naked soup again. A place that understands having a small menu and perfecting each element. I tip my hat to you naked soup.

I have got to be totally honest here. The staff were absolutely fantastic 11/10 but the food was inedible. I mean really bad. The chicken burger although it was very big....was bad. Funny texture.....one of the worst I've had anywhere. The curry was very bland and watery. The steak pie thing was.....I actually doesn't know what to say......I'll stick to real...bad. Absolutely go for the alcohol as they do good offers and it's cheap. The staff honestly just couldn't have been better. Also brilliant with dogs. For food I just couldn't ever recommend.....so so soooooo unfortunate :( x
