Ordered macaroni cheese as used to be great and home made. Not this time. It was soggy and couldnt taste the cheese. Also small portions considering the price. Disappointed. The owner is very friendly but think standards are falling.

Joanne Michael y Kale. X

This is a great little place for something quick to eat. The food is nice and the staff are very friendly. A mug of tea and a Glasgow roll just to get you going on your travels.

Best rolls in Partick and the lady that works there is just such a lovely person. if passing pop in the coffee is spot on, so are the staff.

Anyone who goes here thinking they're going to get international cuisine and heavenly decor is deluded, and possibly a bit daft. However if you do want a warm welcome, some sass, good tea and a slab of cake and perhaps something fried, this is the place. The owner is a tiny, kind and generous - and often outspoken - lady...actually technically she's the mother of the owner, about whom she told me everything. Seems that he is a local impresario who owns 15 coffee shops and used to own an antiques store (which I was looked by for at the time I stumbled across this place), now sadly closed. I get the impression that she must therefore be the mother of the godfather. Apparently if she wants a new car, it's delivered. No questions asked. I wouldn't anger her - you might end up at the bottom of the Clyde in concrete boots. Such fancy aside, it's small and dark and unprettified, full of locals and regulars whose accents are a real challenge at times. They also couldn't be warmer or kinder. If you really want to know what old eateries in the Partick area used to be like back in the day, come here!

Went in here for a quick lunch. What a welcome from a very friendly lady. Nice comfortable seats & plenty of room on the tables. Had homemade soup & a toastie which was delicious & very reasonable. It got quite busy but everyone got a great welcome from the lovely waitress from Belfast.

Ok Ok.. its not low calorie, nouvelle cusine or michelin star.. but its honest, glasgow grub. The sort of grub that built the ships, bred the comedians and sowed the seeds of transforming the city. Only ever had take away, but if you are near by.. grab a substantially filling roll as you go on your way.

One my New Years resolutions was to try new places that I've not been to before, having noticed this small cafe not on yelp l thought I would add it and give it a try. With seating for around twelve or more and decor that that looked more 80's style you get the feeling that this eatery has been around a good number of years. I gave their breakfast a try on its own is £3.50 and with tea or coffee £4.95. There was a daily specials board up with many items at £4.95. If you looking for something cheap and fast this is your place. In my 15 minutes there l did notice that there where s few people in chef uniforms coming in for a take away to take back to work, and that should be a good sign. Definitely a place to recommend, for a cheap home cooked meal.

I've been a regular here since Black Pine opened seven years ago, appearing at least once every week, and sometimes more frequently. Mostly I come on my own, but have also introduced friends and family. My experience of both the coffee and the service has always been extremely positive. Pete and the team have succeeded in creating a stylish, relaxed environment. They are a friendly lot, and like nothing better than a bit of backchat at the same time as serving up the best cup of coffee in the area. And I am VERY fussy about my coffee...I kid them on that I only come for the playlist, but that is simply not true. The place is inviting, the coffee is great, and the people are smart and funny as well as being good at their jobs. Now, guys, where's my free coffee?!!
