1st Pizza Direct in Highland

Awful. Ordered chicken fillets. We got chicken nuggets. Chicken kebab was horrible. Pitta bread hard, chunks of chicken and no chargrilled peppers. Chips were disgusting.

If you want fast food don’t go here if speed was a disease they would be immortal I waited 40 minutes for a pizza if they spend as much time working as they do talking they would well ahead to top it off got home and was like eating cardboard no favour save you self a couple of bucks and go Iceland’s

Worst load of tw@t waffle my taste buds have ever had to endure. We ordered to be called back 40 mins later to say we don't have any kebabs doner or chicken.. fair enough ordered other items meals came everything was wrong or missing no sauce no smoked sausage supper two portions of chips we never asked for?? Worst place ever no 1st. Oh and chips weren't cooked and we couldn't call back as was 9.10 and you closed at 9pm, and you are closed on a Thursday so unable to complain tomorrow in person. Poor show Mr reeking your business is terrible and you have let fools run it into the ground. Shame as it used to be decent 😕

Bought a normal cheese pizza because i didn’t trust the meat, the cheese pizza was lacking in a base sauce and half burnt but to top it all off they never actually cut the pizza so i had to eat it like a big biscuit.

Donner meat topped pizza was awful. The sauce isn't a flavoursome spicy, it's overpowering so you can't taste anything else. The base was doughy and there was so much cheese on it that it was only partially melted underneath. The onions and tomatoes were chopped really huge and it was so greasy my hands were orange after 2 slices. Found a couple of bits of meat on it but had to go looking for it. Most of it went into the bin so I certainly won't be going back!

Tonight we purchased 2 lots of fish and chips. There was a huge amount of chips, unfortunately they were undercooked and dry. The fish batter was very overcooked and the fish itself dry and with a bitter taste. Imagine cooking the battered fish twice and that will give you an idea. Totally inedible.

Rude staff and disgusting food! While standing in front of the door, I was told by a bearded scruffy lad to call in an order for a tray of chips. Back to car to get the phone, dialled the number while standing in front of door. The staff stood and watched me phoning and didn’t pick up my call. I asked for the managers name and the young cheeky dark haired boy would not give it to me. Eventually got a portion of disgusting, cold chips which were inedible! Won’t be back.

Absolutely disgusting. NEVER AGAIN! Burnt kebab meat which was all stuck together and some dried up chips that were completely tasteless and looked like they had been sitting in the chip pan for a week.

Let me start with the good. The staff are always very pleasant. You can usually get parked. They have Mayo in pods not sachets. The food however is a let down and a half. We’d forgotten the pain. DO NOT FORGET THE PAIN... Expensive too for what it is. The chips have the cardboard mulchy texture that only can only be ‘appreciated’ one would imagine if you were intoxicated. Who knew you could go wrong with chips but then again every day is a school day. Be wary too. The chip ‘bags’ (beg instead for a polystyrene tray if you must go) are cheap and soak the vinegar up... in practice this means that whilst carrying your fare home the contents can and will at end time decide they’ve had enough of being Pizza Direct chips and like stoic marines on a final D-Day type mission will en-masse just bottom out onto your kitchen floor ala so long lads...no joke... one entire poke of chips on floor with @xxe out of the vinegar soaked bag. A blessing. I shall always remember you lads...

Stay well clear!! Ordered 60£’s worth of delivery, what a mistake!!.....missed items, greasy fish, deserts were frozen and dry as an Arabs sandal!! Will never make that mistake again!! Forced to leave 1 star.....doesn’t even deserve that!!

Absolutely shocking service...waited 2hours for my delivery...was told it was on its way and I said it better be fresh....it was stone cold and the white pudding was rock hard...def over cooked. When I complained and asked for a refund...no sorry can't do that but can send out more food.....what and wait for another 2 hours I DO T THINK SO !!!!

Food is always great, their coleslaw is the only one I'll eat apart from my own. Pizzas are good, chips are good. A bit pricey, but worth it

Purchased a haggis supper and a white pudding supper opened them up the white pudding was right but the haggis was a sausage went back in with it and he opened it up and tried to tell me it was a haggis will never be there again and would not advise anyone to go there because if they can't tell the difference between a haggis and a sausage what on earth are they doing

The worst chips I have ever tasted, absolutely saturated in oil that was obviously very old and reused multiple times. How a chippy can get chips so wrong is beyond me.

Order meals for family. All good . Jumbo haddock arrives I question it as it 100% looked like a small haddock that you would get anywhere . I paid 9 pound odd for a jumbo. He qiestioned the fryer and he said they are same size as jumbo , at this point I am looking at the actual jumbo in the glass where the other guy was going to change but was told it was a jumbo. Not happy , this is the third time I have ordered something and it was either wrong or no there. Will stop buying from here now. Photo shows it and does not fill box like jumbo normally does .

FISH & CHIPS TWICE, £16 SIXTEEN POUNDS. Average at best. Hideously expensive Tourist rates. Maybe he has another price list for locals? or maybe his prices are lowered in October? Avoid unless you are middle class with more money than sense. Welcome to Scotland.

I am a regular customer. I absolutely love their food. Every once in a while I try something different and I am never disapointed. Keep up the good work guys 😉

Doy 1 estrella solo porque no hay opción para no dar estrellas. Pedí un jamaicano, pero cuando llegó, ¡las gambas habían sido sustituidas por pollo! No como carne (solo pescado). Ordenó el mega acuerdo a los 29. 99, qué desperdicio de dinero. Pizza grande de queso y tomate, jamón grande y piña, chips regulares, pan de ajo, pan de ajo con queso y ensalada de col.Cuando llegué a casa, la pizza de queso y tomate estaba bien hecha, los panes de ajo estaban fríos y no estaban bien cocidos, las papas fritas normales eran más como una ensalada pequeña y sin col. No hay forma de que podamos comer la pizza, llamé por teléfono y hablé con un gerente para quejarse, él solo discutió conmigo, pedí otra pizza gratis pero me dijo que tardaría hasta una hora en entregarse, luego dije no soy un cliente feliz, siento que fue una pérdida de dinero, ¿podría por favor tener un reembolso? So I tried placing an order on the app a wee while back now (i have the emails as proof) & after an hour of waiting, myself & my partner were wondering where our food was. We checked on the Facebook page to double check they were definitely open & there was a status saying about how the app wasn’t putting orders through. So my partner called up to say that we had been waiting for a while and the woman’s response was one of the rudest and bluntest you could hear. He was told “you’ll get your money back” and then also “the money won’t have been taken.” Didn’t ask about the order or if we still wanted it, nah none of that. So gave it a few days, checked my bank account and lo & behold, the money was taken out. I first messaged the Facebook page, to get a message back telling me that the Facebook page isn’t monitored. So I emailed the shop and got the manager, I’m assuming, emailing me from his personal account. Promised me that the money should bounce back into my account and if not, he’ll personally give me the money himself. So waited a few days, nothing back in the account. Emailed him again, no response. As time passed I think I’ve emailed the manager 5 or 6 times, to not get one single reply, bar the two emails from the beginning, the ones reassuring me that he would give me my money back. I’ve messaged on Facebook saying “you know, I just want my cash back, feeling slightly robbed here” and he messaged back saying “I do not rob people, you’ll get your money, I haven’t seen your emails.” Well Colin my dude, it seems like you’re lying & completely ignoring all my communications so maybe on here is this best place to get your attention? I never do negative reviews because I know once they’re up, they’re up. But that’s what happens when you literally steal someone’s money, someone who needs that money to get to work via taxi right now. :)

Dont know about pizza section but day out was spoilt by the chip shop. Didnt see young male servant putting on salt and vinegar so asked if he had, He retorted to the affirmative. We subsequently went away somewhere nice to eat our fish and chips which had no salt and vineger at all . Fish was dry and tasteless, Plenty other chip shops around town.

We don't normally use 1st plaice because of it's reputation and they are correct the batter was soggy,bland and tasteless inedible all went in the bin a waste of £16 we won't be eating here again and would not recommend it either.

Orders food told 30 mins takes over an hour when arrived the order was wrong phoned to complain the so called manager hung up not once but 3 times then Colin the so called owner text me refuses to take my calls and then blocks me threatens me that all calls are recorded well that’s good cause you’ll hear how awful your staff spoke to me absolutely shocking food do your self a favour go to pound shop and get a sandwich folks

I love the pizzas from this place but can't recommend it unless you are picking up. 1st Pizza used to deliver to my door within 30 minutes of ordering but these days it takes almost an hour and, when it arrives, the pizza is lukewarm.

In Inverness for the highlands strongman/strongwoman competition and needed a quick bite to eat before it started. The guy said 15 minutes for the food to cook, we stood there for at least 45 minutes waiting. Understandably food like that can't be ready within 5 minutes but why tell us 15 minutes when clearly they couldn't stick to that. We ordered 2 small pizzas, 1 medium pizza, potato wedges, garlic bread and chicken pakora. The food took an age to be cooked. The potato wedges were ready when nothing else was so they said they had to put them in the oven again, by time we got them they were burnt. The garlic bread was cooked well before everything else so by time they actually handed us our bag, it was cold. The chicken pakora was put in the frier last minute and not when we first ordered so we had to wait an extra 15 minutes for it, plus it was cooked in the chip shop section so tasted of fish and chip fat. For a quick meal before the strongman competition started, it was definitely not quick. We had to eat everything so quickly and rush back to the competition because we waited so long. Annoyingly the majority of the food tasted nice but if we ever come to Inverness again, we won't be back.

1st pizza direct driver nearly careered headlong into us, then shouted and cursed because we were in his way, emerging from a narrow side street. I hope the shop staff are more polite!

Ordered a takeaway from here and was given a delivery time of 8.05. Food still hadn’t arrived by 8.20 so I called to be told it was only 2 mins away. At 8.45 it still hadn’t arrived so once again I called and was told it was 2 mins away! When I had to call back at 9.10 to say it still hadn’t arrived - 2 hours after ordering - I said I wanted to cancel and wanted a full refund. I had to asked for this, was never offered compensation and I wasn’t apologised to. Very disappointed in First Place as I have ordered and collected food from here before but I WONT be using them again! Far better chippies in Inverness.

We tried one of the other ones in Nairn and we were surprised when we had our fish and chips from here. Better than the one on the high street.

Pizza, Chicken wings, burgers, chips and hotdogs were all fairly good, the staff member’s English was a bit hard to follow and she misunderstood part of the order but it was fixed and she was polite enough.

Soy un cliente habitual de pizza. Tengo que decir que tienen mejor kebab y chips en toda la ciudad. No soy una gran diversión de pizza allí, pero definitivamente chippie no es bueno. Además, si estás en verano visita Inverness, tienes que probar allí helado whippy. Son tan cremosos y delicados.

We have ordered pizzas from them 4 times now - every time the delivery was quick and pizzas tasted great. The quickest time for delivery states 30 minutes, which is usually the time it takes them to deliver, even on weekend nights. Pizzas were delivered piping hot, and were delicious. Prices are very reasonable. I don’t tend to order chips or any other deep fried food as it will go soggy by the time it gets to your door, it’s meant to be eaten quick to get the best experience. If I’m in the area I would try it, but for now we’ll stick to pizza - it’s great. Highly recommend.

Tired of having to phone back to inform them the order is missing something, and it's happened last 5 times, last time they didn't send the remainder of the order.

Phoned to order at 10:00pm asked if they would deliver got the response that they were closing, the shop closes at 11pm as its Saturday

Toppings were VERY sparse on my cheese free pizza (see photo). Considering each topping costs £1.45 one would imagine you may get a decent amount, no out was atrocious!

love the red rooster pizza ( i think thats what its called) chips and curry sauce also delicious, boyfriend has the fish and thought it was lovely. local chippy and can not complain.

Como se esperaba, realmente tuvimos un festín de carne Pizza, alitas de pollo y aros de cebolla (colección). Aros de cebolla eran perfectas, la pizza era agradable aunque un poco grasiento, alitas de pollo eran un poco inusual para una pizzería, tenía una especie de sal y sabor chips vinagre, pero no desagradables. No es demasiado larga la espera y el personal era agradable.

Yo había pedido en línea y había entregado a la casa, me pareció que los precios estaban bien. La Pizza no era hasta calor cuando llegamos pero estaba en temperatura comestible.

We visited this place on Thursday. It seemed busy. But it seemed to be so overpriced.. it must be to do with the amount of delivery vehicles. People walking in and collecting their orders are paying for this.. would recommend going elsewhere.

Recently moved into the area and thought we would give this place a try well after three try's there won't be a forth !!! Not once have they got our order right last time we asked for doner meat and chips and it came without doner meat !!! Then after complaining they said that they would send it out but after another 1.5hrs we were still waiting the time before that I asked the girl to read back my phone order to make sure there was no cock ups but even after asking that the whole lot turned up wrong again WHAT IS GOING ON THERE !!!!!

Average chips and sausage at eggs seemed over the top price. Thought it would be better due to the number of people using it. Soaked up my beer ok though!

Had a fish butty, haddock burger, here this lunchtime. Fish was fresh cooked, as I was late for lunch, and tasty. Staff member was being trained but was friendly and personable. No complaints like these other folk. Price about right, thanks.

Bien sûr, on ne s'attendait pas à un truc meilleur que MacDo mais là c'était encore en dessous.Les frites sont immondes, le cheeseburger fade et plat au possible, l'attente longue, et les prix bien trop élevés pour cette qualité. C'est difficile de trouver un endroit correct pour manger le soir à Culloden, mais à ce niveau là, préférez les sandwichs de la Co-op à côté.

All the food is WAY overpriced considering how cheap and disgusting it all is. Chips are obviously quite old, reheated and probably scrapped fom the bottom of the fryer. The kebabs taste rubbery and gritty, EVERY single order me and my mates have ordered, (which is sadly a few) has been lukewarm at best, and the drivers are very rude, do not greet you (because they cant speak english) and have a tendency to scowl at you.The pizza is disgusting, the cheese tastes strangly tangy (not in a good way), the bacon is rubbery and mostly fat. I cannot honestly find ONE food item on this list that satisfies me, apart from the ice cream which is ben and jerrys (although it is EXTORTIONATE). Avoid this third rate slop shop if you value your taste buds and your wallet.

Waited an hour for delivery no explanation was given. Food was cold. Never again will i buy from this place. Same as other reviews about this place food is extremely over priced.

The worst and most expensive fish and chips i have ever had !! Cost over £20 for two fish suppers.The batter was soggy and fish dry. Chips hard and tasteless. Service left a lot to be desired and the shop was dirty too.Avoid this place ! I'll certainly never go back.Sign outside near the rubbish bin did make me laugh. It asked you not to feed the seagulls. They were being optimistic even thinking the seagulls would consume their food !

No point rambling on too much, but in line with other reviews here, the service was painfully unfriendly, and the food was ridiculously over-priced. We thought we'd misheard the mumbling girl when she charged us £17 for a basic order that elsewhere probably wouldn't break a tenner. Maybe she was embarrassed and that's why she mumbled. Anyway, the food was okay but the best part was sitting in the sun on the banks of the river ness. Five stars for the river ness, one for a chip shop that doesn't seem to give a toss about service.

Ordered about half seven couple of other customers it was buy one get one free which was great. Freshly made so had a ten min wait but worth it. pizza was lovely and good value. Would advise going here rather than Dominoes they really are hopeless. Stood half an hour waiting in there utter shambles.We have also been to Dingwall 1st Pizza Direct which is also lovely

Used to be a great chippy - but on a recent visit experienced terrible customer service (waited 15 mins for order despite being only person in the shop!) - staff hanging around on their phones and seemingly uninterested. Food was very expensive for what we got and the quality was really poor. Place also looked pretty grimy. Far better options out there in the town - sad to see this place as it is and to see the food being served now so terrible.

Really disappointed at the place. Ordered and then waited for far too long for a basic order. The staff seemed untrained, unsure and pretty useless to be honest. The fish was the most expensive fish I have paid for from a takeway and probably the smallest and soggiest I have had. The onion rings were dry, luke warm. Wish I had looked at reviews on here prior to going and saved myself nearly a tenner for fish and chips with onion rings. I would avoid th place. More than half of mine went in the bin. Go elsewhere.

My son was not happy at receiving a 7in pizza for £7 which in fact looked more like a 5in pizza, abit of a rip-off, could have just went to Iceland and got the same pizza for less than £1 if we hadn't been camping. Also ordered a vege sausage supper and the sausages were raw in the middle and chips lardy tasting. Staff were not friendly. Everthing on the menu was overpriced. Felt ill afterwards. Will definetly be giving this place a wide berth and not be recommending it to others...

Visited while in the area, can't fault the choice and various options we had a hot dog and a burger and they were a great size with plenty of toppings and thoroughly enjoyed it, (onions definitely weren't fried and the onion rings didn't get eaten) but other than that food was good, definitely overpriced though. But the staff were rude, impolite, had no idea about their menu, and couldn't even look us in the eye when ordering or paying, no manners. The girl who served me was foreign and couldn't understand me (fair enough) but was incredibly rude about solving this. Place was untidy too and behind the counter didn't look very clean. It's a shame as the food was so good but we won't be back.

waited over 10 mins for my order, then half way through being served she serves someone else, while my order was left on the counter open while she served someone else, who had already ordered, rip off price, most expensive i have paid to date for a fish supper £7.35 for a tadpole of a fish, that was over cooked hard and burnt batter, disgusting, even the cat turned her nose up at it, i was all ready to go back with it and throw that disgusting meal back in their faces, never never again

Place is going way down hill forget half your order that you pay for,when call say they don't care no apologies,when asked for new king rib asked for another one to be sent back,,what are they gonna resell it!! cooking area was visibly dirty. Pre ordered on the phone so I wouldnt have to wait, no one seemed to want to serve me and i was the only person in the shop. when i got my order home the batter was soggy, there was chips missing from one of the meals despite being ordered a supper and i had been charged for one. charged me extra for sauces which were bland and tasteless. To top it all off we all had upset tummies the next day. Overall very expensive, poor service and awful food. Not the first time and all branches are the same. I Dont care how good their deals are I wont be back now.

Lovely friendly staff but the food is terribly expensive and full of lard. I assume the food is exactly the same as in First Pizza Culloden. I usually have a cheeseburger which costs £2, has bits of bone in it and the meat isnt to great but its a nice size. Great for when Im hungry.Recently though all the prices had been covered up and the boy tried to charge me £3.70 for a cheeseburger on its on with no chips!!I told him where to stick that. Not going there again unless they be reasonable with their prices and greatly improve their food.

Great choice of pizza. Also a great choice of food kebabs, fish, burgers, right net door to co-op so you can pick everything up in one go.

I often find chip ships in Scotland overpriced, and this was a definite example of that. Small portions. 2 X Sausage and chips, 1 Macaroni pie and a can of drink for £14. Not particularly cooked well, Luke warm. The chips were quite good though. I always get a choppy when I'm back in Scotland, I just won't be using this one again.

Not the quality of food I expect from a takeaway chip shop. Despite cooking to order, the batter was soggy and chewy - and the chips were tired and should have been thrown out hours before. Serving a double portion doesn't make up for poor quality! Food served tepid in paper bag - not poly container so was cold by the time I got home (10mins). Won't be going back...

Ordered a large mixed kebab & chips £7.75. Received a chicken kebab with 1 strip of doner meat and no chips. Price and I got charged was £9.15. Didn't want to complain as there was other folk waiting and wouldn't of minded paying a bit more anyway but when there was hardly any doner meat and no chips I was well hacked off, but was already home and didn't realise till I opened up the box.

4 clean plates. Delicious meal before the 2016 diet (eventually) starts. Really good value for money and totally hit the spot. Thanks and happy new year!!

Wow, just wow, how can a 'fast' food place keep repeat business when they take over 30mins to serve the people waiting in the shop - I counted 8 people behind the counter with just one young guy serving - and he was terrible and slow , wrong orders, everything done in the wrong order and slowly - an object lesson in overly complicated and slow systems in place -- never ever going back ..

Had food from here the other night, ordered 2 fish suppers, i stood to the side and noticed 2 fish in the cabinet keeping warm(i was hungry and could keep my eyes of the food!), had to wait almost 30 mins for our order to be ready, and to my surprise we were given that same fish that had been standing in the cabinet! Seriously? It had at least been sitting for 30mins by this point, so how did it take them 30mins to cook chips?? Higher numbers than mine were ready before me! Well when i got them n got in car drove 5 minutes to my house the fish was frozen, we had even had it beside the heaters of the car trying to keep it warm, the fish had no taste, and was past cooked. Was very expensive and the portion size was tiny! I wouldnt bother going back here for fish n chips!I have used this chippy in the past and its been ok, but its gone downhill since then

Camping in local area so took a trip over for a pizza for kids as late night snack. Very very busy place with a chippy next door. Phone didn't stop ringing and clearly popular.Large margarita pizza £9.50.No issues

Simple and quick food for the hungry ones...bit overpriced but tasty. Servis probably very tired, no chatting, just hiding behind the corner...

Personnel pas vraiment accueillant. Choix moyen. Prix correct. Pizza normales. Vraiment pour s'alimenter mais sans plus. Essayez quand même de voir ailleurs

Had a single fish from here recently (on a Sunday), and have to be honest, it was very good. Fish was moist not dry, batter was crisp and had been cooked to order. Can't fault the plaice (actually it was haddock ;) ). Can't comment on the chips that others have complained about. As prices go, It didn't actually strike me as particularly expensive.

Decided to order for delivery. 10 mins later than scheduled but that would have been ok if food was halfway decent. Tiny pizza for over £6, tasteless fish, floppy anaemic chips and a very average sausage supper. Expensive too, wouldn't bother again and wish I had looked at Trip Advisor first. Re ommend Millburn Rd chippy, hot, tasty, well cooked food.

I bought a single smoked sausage and a scampi supper. We were charged £9.65!!!!! The smoked sausage was a half portion!!! Far to expensive!

only eat here if u want to be off work the next day. Cold Food and bad service....oh and half cooked anaemic chips!
