1958 Coffee in Ashfield

Great coffee and light bites, incredibly convenient for M1, just 1 mile from J27, so much nicer and cheaper than service stations. Friendly staff, great coffee and cakes.

Popped in for breakfast with a friend who strongly recommended the place - spot on recommendation. Coffee was beautiful, breakfast was good quality and portions were good. Will most definitely return as the other food that came out also looked fab and would love to try other items!

We go here regularly, takeaway mostly but eat in occasionally for breakfast too. It’s a great cafe; food & coffee is always lovely, the front of house manager is very professional, service is always prompt and the atmosphere is nice. Would advice booking at peak times if you’d like to eat in and be aware it’s not a big place, so if you like quiet and lots of space whilst eating in, maybe check when booking what time could be better for you. In the week is always much quieter.

Visiting for an early cup of coffee and sandwich we were served by very friendly staff with excellent food. Well worth a visit

Lovely little cafe, we visit regularly and it is always 5* . Staff are lovely and friendly and the food is fab. A great range of food and the puddings are delicious! They are always trying new ideas out so plenty of choice for those with a sweet tooth! Definitely give it a try.

My family visit 1958 most weeks for breakfast we absolutely love it, great value for money. Return every week when we can. Wouldn’t go anywhere else . Definitely recommend .

Popped in for a quick breakfast on the off chance! sat out in the quiet secluded outdoor area that is wonderful to get away from the main road! Must say it was beautiful! All friendly staff and service was 5*! The presentation of everything was absolutely top draw… wonderful loose leaf tea in individual tea pots! Fresh orange juice out of a glass bottle.. The breakfast was also cooked to perfection! Lovely presentation and tastes just as good as it looked. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks 1958 coffee house it’s nice to have a place like this on the doorstep!

We’ve had a few takeaways through lockdown from here and think it’s a fantastic place with lovely fresh food. The coffee is top quality, the cobs are lovely and soft, the food quality is great and the homemade cakes very nice too. This is our new favourite breakfast place and great to grab a takeaway coffee for a walk around moorgreen res for your daily exercise 🙂 staff are extremely friendly and all Covid precautions are in place 👍🏼 thanks see you soon!

I live locally and visit most days. Whether it's a full breakfast to eat in or a roll to take away, it's all fresh and fabulously tasty. The staff are welcoming and efficient no matter how busy.

First time I have been here and wasnt let down. So cute, staff are lovely and everything we ordered was. Such a great quality. Will be back

The space is beautiful, staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious - great options for veggies and vegans like myself. Only thing which would be nice is a little background music but that's just my opinion

Really lovely coffee shop in very new and stylish premises. Good value and quality. Halloumi & roasted pepper panini and local sausage sandwich were both delicious. Great latte. Friendly staff. Close to J27 of M1 and was the perfect lunch stop. We will be back.

Been here a couple of times now since the move and what they've built is a stunning little coffee shop, the food is lovely, the coffee is too, just one negative that lets it down... On both visits our table was unclean, as were other tables, the floor was in need of a sweep too, could definitely be a 5 * if these issues get addressed.

It’s a lovely little (very little) coffee shop but the coffee wasn’t great. The food is very nice but quite pricey. I haven’t gone back and probably never will. Staff were very nice though.

Called here after a lovely walk in the woods! We had coffee and a snack. All the food and cakes are freshly made - I would definitely recommend a visit! It’s very popular with locals - it’s also only a mile off junction 27 of the M1 motorway, which is great! The lady owner is absolutely lovely, she works so hard and deserves the popularity We will definitely be back again soon......

This is a basic, down to earth coffee shop with coffee, tea, breakfast style sandwiches, and cakes. Often occupied by tradesmen, it also welcomes a wide range of other people. It seems warm and friendly, and the coffee is good. Currently expanding, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they create a few doors up. With a visit. Good coffee, no pretension, rustic environment.

Called in for a cappuccino,milkshake and a sausage cob couldn't fault anything it was lovely. Quick service will be going again.

Have been meaning to visit this place for a while, stopped off on the way back from a walk.

Go here often. Food is lovely and coffee is strong and fresh. Excellent customer service. Only complaint is that they need a bigger venue so that we can all sit in and enjoy it! As seating is limited.

I only noticed this little cafe as I drove by on my way to another coffee shop, and decided to stop try something new for a change. 1958 is in what was a little village corner shop, its very tiny but the proprietor Andrea is so welcoming and friendly. She makes a delicious coffee, and has great quality soft drinks on offer. But, her cakes are a dream! My husband had a Bakewell Slice and I had Lemon Cake, both were super scrumptious, moist and were a good portion. It was a great little stop for refreshment, so would highly recommend.

Called here today for coffee and homemade cake!!! It was so nice, I will definitely be calling again, just what we need around here!! everywhere is spotlessly clean, everything cooked to order and the lovely lady owner is so nice and chatty 😀
