We visited while on holiday and had a fantastic early evening meal. The hosts were very attentive and looked after the children really well. Very warm atmosphere and great menu variety. Would highly recommend.

We had an absolutely delicious meal in 1894,last night whilst staying locally in Llanidloes. The food was cooked to perfection. Front of house were very attentive, welcoming and friendly, even giving us a brief tour of the building and information on the history of the building. The decor was exquisite and tastefully done. It was a very cold evening last night, but we were lovely and warm and cosy whilst enjoying our meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and we cannot wait to come back, very soon.

A lovely meal with locally sourced ingredients, the food tasted fabulous. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, a very nice relaxed atmosphere for the meal followed by a local young female singer which set the tone beautifully for a romantic meal out. Thoroughly enjoyed dining here, and hope to visit again when in the area. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent! Great, locally sourced food cooked really well, good wine selection, romantic atmosphere and friendly service. I haven't found a better place locally to take someone out for something special.

I do not cook at all when The Penny Black is open ! I feel really sorry for cafes and restaurants like this ! It's not their fault that they are unable to open up at the moment still ! The Post office is an integral part of the Burry Port community and as such will have struggled to retain their loyal clientele! Not everyone is,driven by price but as I intend to eat there 3 or 4 times a week , still, I'm very grateful that the prices are priced really realistically , as I'm single and only on my works pension, still ! Lol x Thanks for all the care the staff gave given me since moving to Burry Port/ Pembrey. South Wales. Th

Plenty of parking, I liked the layout which didn’t put you too close to other diners and not cramped, amazing views and good ambiance, the service was spot on and the food was of a very good standard, plentiful and all arrived hot and beautiful presented. My first time visiting here, definitely won’t be the last and I highly recommend it to anyone.

A very comfortable room, with friendly and helpful hosts. A choice of breakfasts either cooked or continental. We had the continental which had a large warm croissant and a lovely selection of fruit, together with homemade yogurt which was delicious. Everything you would want in a B&B

Only came across this hidden cafe with a community spirited hostess on our way back to South Wales & were smitten by how friendly and accommodating they were. If anyone in your group has a hidden need, for example avoiding cafes with a cabinet full of coca cola cans, Croes y Ceiliog at Llanwrda has the solution, making you feel like a family member. Their tasty home made food too = return visit a definite!
