Went there for dinner as we love steak and they had no ribeye no fillet steak and only sirloin. A steak house with no steak. My partner had the sirloin and it was average. I had the Ribs and they were soft but the sauce was not great. A bit disappointing

Disappointed, missing things off the menu. Order never came all together and starters came with main. However the manager tried her best for us, apologising and accommodating where she could. Food on the whole good, wine lovely and music great👍🏻

We got our wine on time and especially a good one, but the food arrived in 1h. There was only one table they had to serve and only with drinks so clearly they weren’t busy. The waiter was mostly outside smoking and I had to ask the person who “seemed” that work there where is the food. When it arrived we didn’t even have cutlery and the soup was brought by the chef itself because probably the waiter was too busy smoking outside. Also a very strange vibe as 1 minute the waiter was smiling and the next he seemed spaced out. No one was also in the bar. Food was good but clearly I will try to avoid that place as for the price of £150 for a couple we can eat somewhere with a better service!!!

Took advantage of a half price deal on food (but then blew the savings on whisky!). Oysters were very good. I thought my fillet was a little small for the regular price of £35 but since I only paid half, I can't complain. My colleagues had a rack of lamb and a sirloin, which they both enjoyed. The wine list isn't extensive but it is good enough and not over priced. The service was friendly and attentive. All in all I would recommend this place as a good venue for a quiet meal and I will be back in future no doubt.

We went for the evening meal. There was very little steak available to order already at 7pm. The steak was requested rare but came medium/well done. The medium rare steak was similarly over cooked. We were not charged for either steak. At the start of the meal we had the draught Pilsner Urquell which had gone off. In both cases the staff were excellent. The deserts were good.

It was fairly empty only us and one more table in the whole restaurant. Being in the middle of the City of London I expected many more people in the restaurant. Because it was quiet the servers were all over us, a bit too much for my liking. I would have preferred a little more space. We had oysters for starters and I have to say the oysters were not that fresh. The waitress came to take our order saying we have one burger left, 3 rib eye steaks, no fillet. There were four of us, so maybe we should all share the last burger left! I didn't expect a restaurant in the middle of the city to run out of food! The desert menu was a little boring as well. I ended up ordering a cheese board as the sweets menu did not excite me and I have to say the cheese board was also a bit boring, no blue cheese, just 3 tiny pieces of various Cheddars. I had ordered some ice for the table and considering there were only two tables in the whole restaurant I had to remind the waiter that we were waiting for some ice. We were never once asked if everything was OK with our meal/order. I certainly won't be rushing back to this restaurant any time soon!

I had not heard of this restaurant before I saw it on Opentable and I am glad I found it, as the place is definitely one I would go back to. It is ideal for business meals because the food is good and served at a desirable pace, the service was just attentive enough and the ambiance is nice and it is not too loud in there.

We wanted to book for a Tuesday night. The latest table available was 6:30pm so we booked that, and bust a gut to get there so early after work. When we got there, the restaurant had only a couple of tables occupied so I don't know why a later table wasn't available. You get there and they take your coatbefore you go down to the restaurant. The ambience of the basement is nice - lots of light and mirrors so not dark and dingy as basements can be. Traditional British/French style. They seated the few tables they had apart so you had a lot of privacy which was nice though there were so few customers that I felt we had to try not to talk to loudly so as not to disturb other people as there was absolutely no background hubbub of conversation that you would normally have at a restaurant. There was some background music which was appropriate to the ambience. The service was very good. The menu and drinks menu was limited in quantity and variety - the wine list was the only drinks list and when I asked about soft drinks it was just standard fruit juices or mixers. They did happily provide tap water and sparkling though. For a steak restaurant, with a very limited menu, it was ridiculous that both the sirloin and rib eye were off the menu leaving only the cheapest or most expensive cuts of steak. Also the "mains" were not mains at all, you needed to add 2 sides to make a complete main course. One of us had the gnocchi main on its own and it was like a large starter - he was still starving after that. The food was very tasty however. As a bread fan, I thought the appetiser board of homemade breads was particularly good and came with 2 interesting tapenades. The garden salad however was just a few curly leaves and 3 or 4 thin slices of radish. So 4 of us had 2 courses with the necessary sides (and 1 had 3 courses) and with drinks and service it came to £30pp, that was with the 50% off food offer. So an OK price with the offer but definitely would not pay full price.

One of the best steak I ever had in my life. It's great value with the 50% off offers.
Everything was amazing apart from the dessert. As none of us consume alcohol, we found the vanilla ice-cream tasted extremely odd. I checked with waiter but was told that it's non-alcoholic. We sent it back and insist the chef to taste and eventually confirmed that it does taste alcohol and got them taken off the bill.

Service was attentive, steak was amazing, just a slight disappointment that some choice of cut already out at our 1800 dinner booking. and of cos the unfortunate odd tasting ice-cream.

However once you enter, the place is smartly decorated with a nice bar. The staff who looked after us were incredibly attentive, chatty and helpful. The flat iron steak rare was melt-in-the-mouth and I would equally recommend the courgette fries which were in breadcrumbs along with a pesto sauce... all absolutely delicious!

The greatest part is it does 50% off with opentable on Friday 🤗

I came at the right season so their fin de Clair oysters were large, fresh and succulent.

I also like their coupling of roasted bone marrow with any steak (it gives the steak some extra lush)

I m disappointed with their olives starter to share, which were too salty, and their apple and quince crumble, which was totally underdone.

The service was prompt and professional throughout our visit. The drinks arrived quickly and we went for a bread starter while waiting for the steak and chips. The bread dish was a bit wanting and over priced for what it was. The steak and chips when they arrived were very good. The steak cuts were good and cooked exactly as asked for so all was well. The current "celebrity chef" menu seems a little expensive, certainly compared to the previous menu , and especially if the celebrity is not there on the day you visit. Very competent food culled from a range of well known restaurants across London , which presumably enjoy the oversight of the same executive chef. Great attention from the staff who are trying really hard. Atmosphere somewhat lacking as the restaurant is not attracting enough of a lunchtime crowd. Perhaps it will become more popular. Will go back if only to try the dishes from the Ivy, which I haven`t eaten at the Ivy.

"Have been meaning to visit this for a long time, as it seemed to get good reviews and I like subtle, modern Indian food. Finally did on Saturday and it was a big disappointment. Maybe I left it too long and it's now coasting on its reputation. The ambience was lively, as expected on a Saturday night but, by the end, I didn't see what had attracted such a large crowd. I was seated in the back 'annexe', which seemed to be a glorified marquee and managed to be both drafty and too hot - the latter because of the ceiling heater pointing straight down on me. Service was outwardly ingratiating but suggested little warmth or care for me as the customer. The food was the main let-down, though. Generally can only be described as lacking zing! Little subtlety in the flavours or 'edge' to the cooking to justify the really quite high prices good value. The poppadums were no different from those I've had in many cheaper restaurants and weren't warm. The 'amuse bouche' of soup was bland. The spicing of the sauce on the starter (lamb koftas) tasted hot (too hot for me, but that is admittedly down to personal taste) but lacked subtlety. They were surrounded by flabby but dominant slices of onion. The main - large prawns - was very over-cooked. I could hardly distinguish the prawns' cotton wool texture from that of the new potato (of which there was a single small specimen, not the 'new potatoes' specified on the menu) griddled alongside them. On the side, there was a bowl of the same slivers of onion in hot sauce which had appeared on the starter. I avoided them. The Indian Sauvignon Blanc was nice enough, but didn't redeem a pretty miserable experience. I wouldn't return, or recommend - though I have the impression that won't bother them much as I didn't feel greatly valued."

Visited earlier this month for lunch, taking advantage of a special offer via Open Table which for £25 gave us a starter and main course, plus a glass of sparkling wine. There was a good choice of varied starters, but the main course menu was very limited - only five options, three of which were burgers! The starters were all well presented and enjoyed by everyone: we had the baked Camembert, deep fried black pudding, smoked salmon and poached pear salad. For mains we had four burgers and one mushroom tagliatelle. The burgers went down well; I found the tagliatelle rather sticky and it had in fact stuck to the bottom of the bowl in places, there were also stringy bits of an unidentifiable vegetable which may or may not have been the parsley mentioned. I think I would have preferred to have the smoked salmon or baked Camembert starter instead. There was no desert menu and we waited some time for it to be brought, having said 'we'll have a look' when asked if we wanted deserts. The sparkling wine went down very well, in fact we ordered a bottle and at the end of the meal were told that it wouldn't be charged which was a pleasant surprise, but they added a 12.5% service charge onto the bill which rather negated that benefit.I'd probably choose to try somewhere else before going back here again.

What a great little place. I booked it after reading some reviews online, just as well as it's not somewhere you'd stumble across despite it's excellent City location. The food was really tasty and the portions were a good size. The waiting staff were very friendly and attentive. Our waiter couldn't do enough for us, he recommended our wine and encouraged us to taste samples first. The restaurant itself was a bit quiet, due to being so well hidden I suspect, but it's worth seeking out if you're in that part of town. I'll happily return...

We went here for a business meeting/dinner. Table of 5 people, we chose to have a selection of starters, which were each of very good taste and size. Main courses were great too, a special mention for the burgers as they were outstanding, as per my dining pals. I had the steak which was cooked to perfection and the lovely crispy chips.Service was non intrusive and professional. At the time of our visit there was also a small reception going on the other side of the room which gave it a nice feel.Note, this restaurant is below ground.

A good experience on a fairly quiet Thursday lunchtime. @15 has a very club feel and an equally 'well attended member-like' experience to lunch. Basement level gives a quieter no traffic ambience but was well lit and bright enough. We had a good choice from the simple but well thought out menu and with courteous rapid but not overbearing service. On my list to revisit.

Very good food in a quiet, discreet environment. Small menu but food to suit all tastes, well prepared and tasty. Went for lunch in December and breakfast in January and both times was really happy with food quality and service. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with an air of professionalism from the coat check to the bill. Will be there a lot this year.

This is another venue very close to my office. It's in the basement of the private member's club (London Capital Club) and as a result I don't think people know it is there or at the very least think @15 is part of the club and not open to public access. This is absolutely not the case. @15 is a brasserie grill in the basement of LCC. It is large, spacious and bright ( no natural light as it is a basement). As no-one knows about it you can always get a table. The staff are prompt, polite, reliable and friendly. The menu is a little small and the portions fancy as oppose to massive and filling having said that I never leave hungry. The last time I went I was offered this new scotch egg course they were trialing and it was really good, quite inventive but interesting.I would go here with a large group 25-20 (I have booked it for company dinners of this size) but then have also done smaller business lunches for 2-4 people. As the LCC is still trying to raise it's profile you can always get a good deal here too. :)

First visit to this cunningly-hidden gem in the City. Quiet and comfortable, ideal for lunch especially December when parties are about.

We came across this place whilst walking through he City, and my only disappointment was not knowing the place was there before!!The food was exquisite, the service excellent and the variety of drinks was extensive. From speaking to staff the menu is changed frequently which is what any diner is after, and there is a brilliant lunch offer on at the moment - where else in the City can you get a 2 course lunch with a glass of wine for £20 per head?!?Will be back again soon...very soon in fact!

Strange menu. Seven of us were eating and they got two of the orders wrong even though there was only one other table occupied at the time. I ordered the tortellini and it was so small (3 pieces) it took me under 3 bites to finish. There should have been a warning it was that small as it was listed as a main course and it meant I had to eat elsewhere after I had finished. Would not recommend you eat here and I will never visit here again

Shocking service, an hour to get a drink, staff walking around doing nothing, and one drink was wrong twice and didn't even arrive.
