Lovely food and exceptional service, could not ask for more, my gf has rare allergies and the waiter was very caring and considerate and gave us all the information we needed. I can't exercise enough how exceptional our experience was and the food was delicious. Going to a restaurant can be taxing for us so I can't thank the staff enough for making it such a pleasant experience.

Amazing cuisine! It was the first time I was trying a dish from Uyghur, absolutely loved it. We had Uyghur polo and lamb skewers.

The restaurant is rather dark. There are a lot of seats available. The staffs are nice and lovely. For me, the food was good even though not outstanding. Somehow a little bit salty. The price is competitive with other similar restaurants.

The atmosphere is cozy, with traditional Uyghur decor. I highly recommend the Ganbian (hand-pulled noodles) and the lamb kebabs, both of which were flavourful and well-prepared. Amazing food! The best we have had in Newcastle. The lamb ribs were to die for and I am still dreaming of this everyday. Juicy, tender, falls off the bone. Small menu options but EVERYTHING tastes amazing. Noodles and nice and chewy. Just the right amount of spices. Wow. Definitely will be going back again and again and again.

Food from the Xinjiang region! Quite rare in this country, I wouldn't expect it in many foreign countries outside of Asia. Large portion, nice filling food, the owner is also a quite pleasant guy who made my ganbian noodles more spicy as per my request when ordering. :) If you like food that is actually spicy, do come here, they don't skimp on it unlike every other asian restaurant I have went to. Also, get the lamb skewers! The reviews here talk about them for a reason.

One of the best dining experiences I've had. No exaggeration. All the food we had were both delicious and comforting, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is perfect for engaging conversations. I highly recommend ending your meal with their hot pot of honey and mint tea.

What can I say! After wanting to try it out for a while, today I finally did! The food is very fresh, large quantity and more importantly delicious. In terms of service, contrary to other reviews, the food came relatively quick and at the same time. The person serving us was warm and professional. Definitely recommend!

Back at home, I used to go to Uyghur restaurants all the time, and I could tell this one was super authentic, they probably have THE BEST lamb skewers and salty milk tea in Newcastle. At first, I was surprised at how expensive one lamb skewer was but the meat was chunky, fresh, and salty which was exactly what I needed. I also love their salty milk tea. I can not believe I can find salty milk tea in Newcastle! Also, I recommend their roasted buns, it’s my first time trying it but it’s quite tasty! Lamb kidney can be cut smaller and cooked drier, and the lamb rice would taste better if it’s more salty. Overall, their food quality is quite high. I also like their little instrument decors on the wall. They are so cute. I highly recommend this restaurant to meat eaters and I will come back to this place in the future!

Everything was delectable. We ordered lamb skewers, Uyghur polo, Ganbian noodles & some tea. I loved their salted tea and especially the salad. It was so refreshing. Ten on ten ambience and the staff was quite cordial.

This has to be one of the best Uyghur food I have tried so far. We order their lamb skewers, Uyghur Polo, Gambian noodles, teas. All were super tasty but my fav was their Polo. The ambience is very cozy with some traditional decor and great service. Definitely worth of coming here.

The lamb skewers were so good and flavoured perfectly. The noodles there are also freshly made and you can really tell straight away. Unfortunately we went a bit late so had to both have the same main dish - first time trying Uygur food and it was definitely above expectations!

I’m Kurdish and I’m very fussy with food , I wasn’t sure about what I ordered , but after trying the lamb skewer with naan , I’m loving it . Also it’s my first time trying noodles, I think it’s called ganban noodle , I’m loving it since .

We came to this place on the recommendation of a friend, unfortunately our experience was not positive. When ordering, the waiter warned us that the dishes would not all arrive together, so 20 minutes after the order the drinks arrived, after half an hour the lamb skewers (which were a complementary dish or in any case would have been due to arrive after the main courses) after 50 minutes the first main course arrived and after 1h 10 the second main course. I would have included a maximum of 5 minutes between one dish and another but I found it excessive. The flavor of the dishes was not even great but average. The cleanliness of the place leaves something to be desired, the bathroom was unwatchable and the glasses that were brought to us were dirty. If the service had been better we might have returned in the future to give it another chance, but unfortunately we won't be returning.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant a few days ago .and I must express my utmost delight with the authentic Uyghur cuisine this place offer. The kebabs were an absolute standout, incredibly unique and bursting with flavors that I've always heard of but never experienced before. The noodles were a revelation, truly unlike anything I've tasted elsewhere. Ganbian noodle is my number one absolute favorite. We definitely come back and spread the words

Visited this restaurant last night , food was absolutely outstanding! Lamb skewers are unbelievably well marinated and tender a must try! Lamb kidney skewers were delicious too. Beef leghman was unreal , hand pulled noodles was beautifully fresh and perfectly chewy texture. I will definitely visit this restaurant again! Spoke a little Turkish with one of the ladies who works there as well they were so welcoming and attentive.

Very authentic Xinjiang cuisine, in addition to the specialty large plate of chicken, there are also delicious diced fried noodles and dry stir-fried noodles. The mutton kebabs are also good. The price is on the expensive side. The food is served very slowly, you have to wait for a long time. It is recommended to go in the afternoon outside of meal time.

Very authentic, aromatic food. The taste of food is wonderful and the quantity is also more. This place is a gem. The staff are so kind and so polite. The place is very well decorated and gives an essence of authenticity which makes more connection with the food. Edit : The second visit was not at all as interesting as the first. Serving time was high.

If you want to eat delicious Asian Turkish food in an authentic atmosphere, I definitely recommend it.

Food is amazing, delicious and very well spiced, just wish they wouldn't have music playing and it was a little bit cheaper. Other than that food is great and have been 4-5 times and will continue to go back

I actually had to leave before I ate, but from what I've heard from friends is the food is top notch, service was on point and friendly. The prices are decent from what I saw in the menu. The only bad thing is it was cold inside.

When we arrived at the restaurant, it was quite empty but it got busier as the chef and the waitress were super slow. Everyone was waiting for their food to get served. The waitress warned us that the Uyghur polo(pilaf) will take 25 mins to cook, but it took longer than expected(55mins), and we only got the polo by then. I thought we were going to get biang biang noodles and lamb liver at the same time! We waited for another 20 mins and asked to cancel the rest. The waitress refused to cancel, saying that it was being cooked, but after talking to the chef, she allowed us to cancel the order. After more than an hour, they hadn’t started cooking other dishes! Also the polo didn’t taste great. It’s full of oil, very bland. The only good part was the lamb, but nothing impressive.

Ooft yes... This is one of those independent restaurants who have great hand selected food cooked by great chefs while you wait and just at that moment when you check the time expecting to hear a ding of a microwave oven... There's that sizzling noise followed by the od clang of a heavy cast pan on a solid stove out in the back. Friendly faces and interesting decor leaving your mind to wonder what this place is all about...what religion what culture what nationality are these enchanting people who are cooking your food? Somewhere between China and turkey there exists the wega Muslims (I may not have spelt that correctly) Chinese Muslims... Well that was an education in itself learning this about their origins but the food.... Yes....yes...yes yes yes.... Never had anything quite like it. My mouth waters just now as I think about those lamb skewers.... I ate more but these exploded my taste buds into oblivion. I'm almost drooling thinking about them. It was all good, very good! and I'll be back again for my third visit soon! Enjoy. This restaurant is inevitably going to be one of a chain of them real soon!

Food was great, especially bbq lamb. Highly recommend the bbq lamb. The table and the floor were a bit greasy and the price was on a higher end comparing the atmosphere. All in all, it’s okay.

This is a warm, family-style restaurant run by immigrants from Karamay, Xinjiang. The owner is very young, born in the 1990s. All meals are freshly prepared and there is no overnight produce in the refrigerator. The food is very fresh and tastes very authentic, although the price is a bit expensive, but you know, this is the UK, ingredients and labor are a big expense. Their milk tea is great, and their noodles are also excellent. The owner's name is Aimu, who is a former British student. He is very humble, polite and handsome. his father Rashid He is an authentic barbecue chef. I once took my kids here to eat in heavy rain. I ordered a more generous meal because I haven’t eaten authentic Xinjiang food for a long time, and I ate about 70 pounds for each meal. I highly recommend, remember if you want to speak Chinese: the boss and all the Uyghur compatriots in the restaurant can speak Chinese with clear and smooth accents without any accent. Don’t forget to drink their Hotan tea and lamb kidneys. What a special place! Unique Uyghur cuisine in our Newcastle such a treat. The Uyghur are a chinese/central Asian Muslim group - so the food is like a mix between the smoky chargrilled food and rice dishes of central Asian and the noodle/steamed pastries of Chinese cooking. The grilled meat was spectacular - the lamb kebabs and ribs. The manto/momo were surprisingly yummy too - the lamb with the onions and herbs was delectable though steamed. The noodle dish was fresh and it looked like the noodles were handmade, almost having more of a thick pasta / gnocchi texture. Really delicious food and great atmosphere. The interior is maximalist feeling like you're in the boudoir of a fancy central Asian home. My favourite though was the clientele drawn here - a super mix of families, friends and cool couples. Think this is the place to be at the mo. Wholeheartedly recommend

Loved it - from the spicy chicken stew to the balanced lamb skewers and the milder polo (with an awesome pickled salad on top) and the dumplings, really loved it, even the salty milk tea!

Polo and lamb skewer were amazing (as expected from any Uyghur dishes!) but they have to work better on the waiting time+preparing cutlery for guests

A bit pricey, taste good but wasn’t outstanding. The lamb skewers are £3.95 each and you have to order minimum 3 of them. Staff polite, but we were unlucky to be served food with no cutlery and no tissues.

Really good and clean at all times definitely recommend but if you go at busy times your food will take a while to come love the food 😁

As soon as we found out about this place we were looking forward to it as we didn't know that we had Uyghur brothers and sisters and their cuisine here in Newcastle. We visited one Tuesday evening. The place was quiet with only 2 other tables with customers. The place was freezing. Everybody was sitting at their tables with their huge coats still on or hanging off their shoulders. When we ordered the food, we asked if the dishes would be ideal for sharing as we wanted to try a few different things together. A few of the items on the menu were not available. Dissapointing. The food took over 45 mins to arrive. The dishes were coming out 1 at a time with at least 5 mins in between. I thought it was clear from my questions about sharing that we'd expect food to come out together. Even if we didn't want to share, who comes out to eat with people only to watch each other eat one at a time anyway? By the 3rd dish arriving, the guy realised that we weren't eating yet. He said the food is going cold. It was already cold. We said that we were expecting most of the food to be on the table by now. He said that he forgot to tell us that the dishes comes out one at a time. Ridiculous. It ruined the mood and experience. Unfortunately a dissapointing evening. I hope things will improve.

Very good food, an interesting variant of Chinese cuisine, with characteristics that differentiate it from the others. If you like spiciness, lagman has a very good level that is rare in other Chinese dishes. They need more staff, but those who are there are clearly trying very hard.

Waited over an hour and a half for our food. It was mediocre. Did not enjoy. Not value for money. No warning when we ordered that we would have to wait an hour and a half. Nor were we offered drinks to compensate during the long wait.

Huge portions and quite a lot to explore on the menu …. Hot hot hot … nice new addition to the newcastle scene. Easy parking in the evening. Definitely worth a visit !

Beautiful place. Reminded me of the cooking back home. We had Uyghur Polo, Beef Lehman, Manti and Skewers all the food was amazing. I especially enjoyed Manti, it was juicy, fresh and tasty. Also Polo, I haven’t had something like this for good 1-2 years. I was dying to taste the Samsa but there was none when we been there. Definitely one of my top places for food in Newcastle now Oh btw its Halal, well obviously （＾∇＾）

Popped in for tea with our 3 kids and we loved it - welcoming and delicious for all of us. Staff were really friendly and since everything was freshly prepared it was easy to adapt to our needs - our 4 year old was mind-blown by specially prepared no-chilli noodles! Highlights for me were the chilli sauce, and lamb skwere apparently really good too. Thanks! We will be back.

Original Uyghur restaurant with fresh dishes. Very good flavors of the dishes, you can feel the quality of the products in each dish .The atmosphere is really relaxing, and the service really good. I went there 2 times in one week ! I definitely recommend this place for people who want to experience new dishes, the pictures speak by themselves!

Food was very homely and the portions are generous, service was good too. Definitely worth going back again. Give their Dapanji a try, because that sauce is out of this world.

A new restaurant running by a group of nice people. They always tried the best to supply better foods. The Uyghur BBQ lamb skewers smell so delicious. I didn’t try it, I bought it for my kids. My kids love it. 👍 I bought myself a portion of “Cool and spicy Jelly noodle”. To my personal taste, I think it would be better if it was a little saltier. Overall, it’s good. The takeaway portion size is fair. I might try sit-in for more different dishes 🥰

Very good, very authentic taste. The staff at the store are very nice. We finished eating on the first day and ordered takeout the next day. The hand-made rice was very fragrant. I recommend everyone to eat the kebabs. There are no bad dishes!
