1269 Restaurant, Bar & Grill in South Bucks

We arrived in the evening and had a lovely dinner with wine. Very good service. Breakfast next day was a buffet, which I don't like personally, but there was a very good selection of food, and the service, especially from Rishi, was excellent.

It was a great experience; the staff was accommodating and very kind. My special shout-out to Dhauvi, Rishil, Twinkle, and Athisa. They made our experience seamless with their friendly and professional services, which were exceptional. I say a big thank you to these amazing individuals.

Twinkle, Dhuri, Athira, Vipin were so kind to accommodate us before the closing time for breakfast. We had completely forgot the closing time of the kitchen and arrived 5mins before closure. However they were very patient throughout. Lovely English breakfast. My favourite was the smoothie !

Amazing brekky, so many options, a few more than you don't get elsewhere like a pancake maker, etc. Staff were really attentive, there is always doing something the moment it's needed, like empty plates being taken away or buffet items refilled.

This classy restaurant and bar has a relaxed, welcoming ambience and very friendly, professional staff (particularly Allwyn in the bar area!). I visited as a hotel guest with my wife on consecutive nights and on every occasion our experience was excellent. The happy hour and live music on Friday and Saturday nights were a highlight for us, and Allwyn mixed a bunch of perfect caipirinhas for us! The food is also great, especially the “from the grill” section - a steak lover’s heaven! Very much enjoyed and would definitely recommend!

I visit the restaurant regularly after using the swimming pool with my daughters. The staff are always super friendly, attentive and nothing is ever too much trouble. Special should out to Dhruvi and Twinkle. Thank you for always looking after us.

My partner and myself had breakfast at the restaurant CP Beconsfield after staying the night before. Apart from the outstanding food I must say the staff went above and beyond to cater for all our needs. I would like to thank Samuel, Yasmine, Rizwan, Mouic and especially Kate for such a young team showed politeness, professionalism, patience and pride in carrying out their duties, they are an absolute credit to the company.

The hotel is very nice with clean, adequately sized rooms and comfortable beds. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, though the food is average. We ordered chicken skewers as a starter, which were tasty but disappointingly small – they should really be called toothpicks. At $11, the portion size is not worth it. Please, increase the chicken portions! For the main course, we had fish and chips, which were excellent, featuring a lovely piece of cod. The cocktails were decent, though the Old Fashioned could use a bit more bourbon. I’d gladly pay £15 for a properly made one. The spa is also good, providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

In the UK on business. The hotel restaurant is very nice with lots of options for different types of seating. The food was great, and Lidia was an awesome server!

Susannah and her team made us feel very special when we dined here for our wedding anniversary celebration. The table was beautifully decorated with petals and a heatfelt anniversary card! Never had such a poor experience. Roast beef lunch for mothers day. Beef was dried out and curling on the plate, only veg was 3pcs of carrot the size of sugar lumps..Yorkshire puddings were literally black they were so burnt. Called for the manager..turns out he was one of the waiters who served us. Refused to pay ..but offered to pay for our drinks. Truly awful.

After traveling four hours in order to stay at the hotel for business, I really enjoyed my meal and in particular the levels of service from staff members Albha a d Yana. They perfectly judged that I was tired and their no fuss attentive approach most welcomed

'We had the pleasure of visiting 1269 for both 23rd and 24th June Breakfasts. The quality of the food was excellent. Service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was Sophisticated and pleasant. Me and my wife along with our two kids and spouses stayed. It was my wife’s birthday and Breakfast team surprised us with a happy birthday wishes and small but lovely sweets. My mother, wife and I arrived to stay at the Crowne Plaza late in the evening and were definitely in need of dinner. We were accommodated despite the kitchen being ready to close. The staff and in particular Keira were very attentive and made us comfortable and made very welcome. Thank you - we also enjoyed our meals, so I recommend both the people and food.

I often stay at the hotel for business but this weekend I have been here for pleasure with my son before we head off to Twickenham for the rugby final. Thank you to all the staff for your constant professional attitude and service. You made Arne very welcome and special, both last night and this morning. Birthday dinner at 1269 and the Crowne Plaza made a real change from the usual pub or restaurant. Excellent food at a surprisingly reasonable price. Our waitress, Albina, and the wine waiter, could not have been more welcoming, professional or charming. Thanks to them both, and to the chef for a really excellent dining experience.

I visited 1269 for a business evening meal with about 30 of my work colleagues. Food was excellent, piping hot and really fresh ingredients. In particular the service our group got from Yana and Yulia was superb. Very polite and attentive and without any fuss. Really impressed and we will be back.

I often stay at the CPGX and will always have breakfast at the 1269 restuarant so I have had the long term opportunity to see it’s progress through the years. The team who look after us customers are fantastic, polite, welcoming and efficient. In particular Diana who always greets people with a smile and a helpful attitude. It’s not a stay without a good start to the day and the team provide this. Well done and keep it up.

Stayed here recently on business and had a wonderful evening meal in the 1269 Restaurant. Was warmly welcomed for dinner by the delightful Yana and charming Isabella and shown into the very comfortable restaurant. I ordered the Chicken tikka kebab and it was not only delicious ( lots of beautifully cooked, succulent chicken breast on skewers) but outstanding value for money. Spoilt myself with the chocolate brownie for dessert which was everything you would hope it would be and beautifully presented. George and Bianca looked after me perfectly. Breakfast continued where dinner left off. Greeted warmly by Davina who explained the buffet and showed me to a quiet table. Breakfast choices abound with freshly cooked poached eggs and omelettes, everything you would expect at the well stocked warm breakfast buffet and super fresh fruits, pastries, croissants,yoghurts and all manner of other things on the cold buffet. Was wonderfully looked after by the ever smiling Diana and her team. The bottled Marlow blonde ale is well worth sampling ! Hic ! :-) All in all a super nights stay made all the better by great food served by attentive friendly staff. I will be back.

During my recent stay at the Crowne Plaza, I had the chance to dine at their on-site restaurant, 1269, on three separate occasions. Regrettably, my overall experience left me feeling disappointed and unsatisfied, prompting me to give it a 2 out of 5-star rating. On the first night, we started with a pleasant bread selection that paired nicely with the rest of the meal. The lamb shank, which I enjoyed so much that I ordered it again on the third night, was tender and full of flavour. However, the club sandwich we tried was fairly unremarkable and didn't leave a lasting impression. As for dessert, the profiteroles were a let-down due to their hard texture and lack of flavour, while the crème brûlée was a delightful and creamy contrast to the disappointing profiteroles. During lunch on the third day, I opted for the Margarita pizza. Sadly, it was smothered in excessive amounts of cheese, overpowering the other ingredients and detracting from the overall taste. Its the first time in my life I've not finished a pizza as it really takes a lot to mess up a pizza. On our third night, we decided to give 1269 another chance. While the lamb shank was consistently delicious, the steak was a significant disappointment, arriving undercooked (arrived blue) despite my request for a rare preparation. Furthermore, it was overpriced, considering the quality. Dessert, once again, proved to be a mixed experience. The brownie was overcooked, giving it a cake-like texture instead of the desired fudgy consistency. The syrup sponge pudding, though, was satisfactory and provided a comforting end to the meal. The service throughout our visits was subpar. We encountered communication difficulties with the servers, who seemed to be inexperienced and lacked proper supervision. Unlike other dining experiences I've had, the staff here were neither attentive nor engaging, merely asking about the food without offering any genuine connection. In conclusion, 1269 has potential but falls short due to its inconsistent food quality and lacklustre service. I cannot confidently recommend it to others, as there is much room for improvement in both the culinary and hospitality aspects of the establishment.

The breakfast team staff are brilliant and very attentive. They are always very welcoming and make your stay at the hotel enjoyable and feel like home. Diana and the team deserve special recognition for being smiley and lovely to all the guests. Nothing is too much trouble. The food and drink menu is first class and always of the highest quality. Thank you to all the breakfast team and the hotel staff for everything, making our weekly stays so fabulous.

Stopped here briefly for a overnight stay, Very basic menu but opted for a club sandwich.. What I received was a motorway sandwich with chips. For £7.95 it might be an acceptable bit of sandwich but at £12 a you would expect a club sandwich that not been procured from the motorway service. Wont stop here again.

Lovely experience! Me and my husband had lunch in Beaconsfield. Lovely decor, food and service. Very reasonable prices! The staff is also very attentive, quick service. We asked our family to have Sunday lunch with us when we were staying in the hotel. We had not eaten any meals here other than breakfast before. The Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent and we all enjoyed it.

Lamb shoulder based, flavour not too bad. However, super-sloppy. A spoon ought to stand up in a shepherds pie, a cocktail stick wouldn’t stand up in this. The mash should be fluffy, crispy, closer to a solid than a liquid, and the gravy ought to be thick and deeply savoury.I believe this is true of a shepherds pie at any price. At £18 it should be good and much better executed than this.Brocolli totally overcooked (alas also well approaching a liquid state).Shepherds pie recipes are available.If only the food was half as good as their profit margin.

We were celebrating my mums birthday and went for the bottomless wine and lunch option. This is a great little deal! Amazing lunch (best beef for years) we managed about 6 glasses of house wine during lunch. Their house wine is comparable to a decent Sancerre or Chablis. overall perfect afternoon - we will be back within weeks not months. well done guys - keep up the good work!

19 of us ate here over the weekend on a long table. All the food came out within a few minutes of each other, and by all accounts everyone really enjoyed the food. The Prawn Cocktail was a nice starter - I had the Spinach Gnocchi as a main which actually had green Gnocchi! Clean plates all round - the Burgers/Steaks on our table seemed to get eaten up, Cajun Chicken was enjoyed too. We did provide all of our orders a week in advance. Good meal - service quick and efficient and enjoyed all round.

We will certainly ensure your next experience is entirely different.''I did, a month later and it was, except instead of being served overcooked dry burgers, my wife and I were served wet soggy fish which even the restaurant manager agreed was well undercooked on account of the amount of gloopy batter. I had pre-booked with the representative, so they knew I was coming, a complimentary drink was offered (I declined) but little attention was payed to the quality of the food served.So, I tried to give them a 3rd chance to get it right. I was not charged for this meal, but I think it's not down to the customer to keep highlighting issues to the restaurant management. It's something they need to make an effort to keep on top of them selves.

Beautiful venue the food was fantastic the second time round as we had to send the first lot back as the steak and everything on the platter was overlooked. Happy with the food when it came back out it was cooked to perfection.

Sticking raw vegetables into a bowl of humus with some re-heated nan bread from Sainsbury’s is a little strange, but the fish and chips in a basket was good and the tartar sauce tasted freshly made.The service was excellent, but the pricing was high.Fish and chips, humus, steak sandwich and a steak with soft drinks came to £100. Great place for a meeting, but if the ‘quite close to Heathrow’ choice was between the 1269 and the Runnymede - then the Crowne Plaza restaurant is definitely in second place.

I called at the '1269' Bar with a colleague for a quick beer but decided to have Beef burger (£18.50/each), it arrived well over cooked /boarder-line burnt and on complaining I was informed the restaurant only used FROZEN foods! And that for health and safety the kitchen overcook all their meats to avoid food poisoning. £18,50 - Really !Management need to resolve this.

A group of 8 of us visited the restaurant for a celebratory meal. The menu is meat heavy, but there is a separate vegan/vegetarian menu that actually has some lovely options. One of group ordered the veggie risotto but sent it back as it was not acceptable. The head waiter dealt with this with absolute charm and offered a bottle of wine as a gesture. His professionalism is an asset to this restaurant. All of the other meals were amazing.We would definitely go back to this restaurant

The menu at this restaurant is mainly focused on the meat eater, that said, it did offer some good fish dishes and a few salads. Both our meals were very well presented and very enjoyable. The wine list was sufficiently extensive and we were happy with our choice.This is a large restaurant that lacks any cosy private areas for an intimate meal and we were sat under a spot light, so this didn't help. However, the staff were very attentive and the overall experience was good.

Had dinner here on steak night. I’m not sure if I got this wrong but the price was 42.5£ for 2 but the bill became 98£. I paid but then realised this offer was each and not for 2? Not sure how. Overall we only had the steak and chips with some beetroot and side greens so not sure how this price was reached. But paid up as the jet lag was kicking in.

We booked a table for 16 people to celebrate the birthday of my nephew / Godson. Words cannot explain or express the overall superb experience the whole group had from the beginning until the end. Everyone in the group had a fantastic time. The attention to detail was unreal, from the names on the place cards to the food, it was fantastic, couldn't fault anything.

I have been using 1269 for a few months now for business and found the service amazing. I was always greeted with my usual by Rahman and other staff who took the time to get to know their customers. Since then I’ve been back numerous times and now come for leisure with friends and family. I highly recommend 1269 as a great place to sit and work as you’ll be well looked after.

We were recommended this restaurant by friends who regularly come here, i must say when I arrived I was very impressed by the decor and bar. Anyway we eat in the 1269 restaurant from there evening menu which l was impressed by, food was great I would give it 8/10 and I would definitely be coming again in the near future. Such a beautiful restaurant, well maintained and clean. The food was amazing!! we had the sirloin steaks (medium well done) with mac ‘n’ cheese and the cheese burger for my little one from the kids menu, recommended by the manager Sean which was cooked to perfection... our compliments to the chef! Having won an £80 voucher for 1269 at a Ball at the Bell house last year, and been very impressed by the food then, we were really looking forward to this trip. Suffice to say if it had been my own £80 I would not have been very happy at all and I probably won't be going back there with my own hard earned cash.

Not catering for a full hotel over a bank holiday weekend meant breakfast was chaotic and disorganised on the monday. Content and service poor. We were staying at the hotel and came here for dinner the evening after our wedding. When we mentioned this to the host she went and got us each a glass of complimentary bubbly. Which was a lovely touch and a great start to our evening. We had a very nice waiter. Marius. Who was very attentive and kind. The steaks we had were really tasty and we enjoyed some great cocktails too. Staff we welcoming and attentive.

This restaurant was terrible. I paid for a rib eye steak, I think they served me maybe a rump. Hard to tell there was so much fat and gristle. The chips which they served in a fancy steel cup, didn't even come to the top of the cup. It looked like the waitress had gotten hungry between the kitchen and our table. Suffice to say we didn't bother ordering dessert at this overpriced underwhelming establishment.

After having a very nice meal in the evening once before when staying here for work I decided to book an afternoon tea with my boyfriend.

As a regular user of the crowne plaza, this restaurant always offers excellent food and service. Look forward to coming next time

This is our second time staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and we ate breakfast and dinner in this restaurant quite often during our stays, as well as lunch in the bar. The food is very good with lots of options and consistently good quality. The service really does need to improve however. The servers were painfully slow to take our orders on most visits, often forgot items ordered or made mistakes with the order.

Had a lovely Afternoon Tea today with friends. Was a Roald Dahl themed afternoon tea, Food was really good, freshly prepared & quite different to other teas we've had in the past !! Two types of Delicious open sandwiches, steak with horseradish & crispy onions & smoked salmon & cucumber plus generously filled egg finger sandwiches & mini savoury muffins which were really nice!!

Had a family visit to 1269 Restaurant, Bar and Grill for my Mother's 80th Birthday today for the Champagne High Tea.

I called the Crowne Plaza restaurant three times to attempt to book the special 'Roald Dahl' afternoon tea, to celebrate my sister's birthday. The restaurant did not answer any of these calls. Twice the receptionist took my details but I was not called back. I also emailed using the Contact Us page but this does not show your text - however I did receive a confirmation via email.

Visited here yesterday with a friend for an afternoon tea using a Groupon voucher.

Steven and his staff provided us with an excellent afternoon tea with pleasant ambience, delicious food, unusual treats and superb service.
