Clearance sale to one of Londons favourite stores and an icon on new bond Street.. After 130 years so sad to see it go .. only little left

It is heartbreaking to know that this flagship London store will be closing. All items were on sale during this visit. The 4th floor is closed, access is allowed only to use the toilets. My wife bought a beautiful dress for a tenner. The restaurant is still open. All clothes were for women, no clothes for men were on display.

Sad to see you go! Service wasn't the best in cafe, very slow but the food was good as always.

how sad yesterday to see this wonderful shop, 140 years old and loved by its customers, reduced to a jumble sale in its last weeks trading. one of the staff told me they had been told to make it look like ‘TK Maxx’ whose bright idea was that? a travesty . what a way to bow out .

Went here on a shopping trip, good value as the sales were on, friendly and helpful staff.

Popped in as they had a 70% off sale on. Got a couple of bargains. Just need to search around

Not that upmarket for Bond Street, maybe it was the sales floor that brought it down.....lengthy wait for service in the restuarant

Fenwick is a great department store. I visited the Bond St shop and were desperate for a drink. We made our way to the basement restaurant and found a table. We were told by a waitress that the table was reserved despite there being no sign as there were on other tables. We were told we could sit at a table with stools (so uncomfortable). After waiting for at least 15 minutes we ordered teas and coffees. The waitress was obviously preparing g the drinks when the manager came over to tell us that as it was lunchtime we must order food. The time by now was 14.40. We left extremely upset and still needing a drink. There were no signs anywhere to say that food must be ordered between certain times. Very disappointed with our experience.

Fenwick Store is a Flagship store of London. This store is beautiful, the building and the history. Been here and it just charming and this store is vital for the future of Shop's. Without shop then life will become very boring plus people loose the human contact. Many live on own. Shop is vital for everyone. Beautiful buildings. London is shop's 💓

Aarti, Brand Ambassador for Nature Bisse ....wow! Very knowledgeable & super helpful I Love this brand and recommend it to anyone looking for amazing products that do deliver and are beneficial. Very cost effective compared to some of the brands I've experienced in the past What is enjoyed the most was the consultation experience, without being put under pressure to buy, but to try the products and feel the whole process, enabling you to know what you would like as the consumer. Would definitely visit the store again for my Nature Bisse products with Aarti.

Popped in for a meal. Very limited gluten free/wheat free options. Got salad and soup. Small portions, so off to look for more food😃😃

terrible - no consideration for pram access and less than useless staff

Awful experience. So many sales assistants there and when I have approached for some info they were really annoyed. When I have use the fitting room, my room was full with clothes and wanted to hand them to one of the assistants but they left me with the clothes in my hands, so practically I end d up clearing my fitting room before trying my clothes one. When I went to pay, I said twice hello and the lady cashier Arabic didn’t even replied. She asked me straight away my full name. When I have asked why she need that info, she said she needs my name. Very rude and unprofessional lady, next to her was an European blonde cashier feeling embarrassed like me was trying to make conversation about the item I was about to purchase. At one stage I just wanted to leave the item and leave, as I’m paying for a service bit they don’t care. Theirs salaries come from our purchases. When I have left, I said thank you good bye 4 times and she just ignored me. Rude and inappropriate behavior!

I love this place, it takes you back to the good old days of the UK very much worth a visit if you're in the area. They have items that you can't find anywhere else in the UK it's amazing just how much stock they hold. It's situated not too far from the underground station and can be reached by very many bus routes.

Love fenwick uncrowded quality clothing and fabulous cosmetic and perfume dept. Want something unique fenwick could be the place. Good coffee shop with pavement seating if it is not raining in the summer

Lovely department store with a sale section on the top floor. They even sell vintage designer bags on the ground floor.

Excelente place for shopping really nice, not too big but the most popular brands are there. Very close to tube station and many restaurants and other shops near by.

Fewer and fewer products seem to be available here. Hope someone comes along and revives this lovely place

Tienda por departamentos de marcas de lujo. Merece la pena una visita. La cafetería es preciosa y el servicio excelente. Hay muchísimas marcas de ropa y accesorios, sorprendente la variedad de sombreros y tocados para señoras, no hay que perdérsela.

What a wonderful store it is such a shame but you can't stop progression and people just don't want to shop in these departments anymore as they are all closing down in the UK

Lady at the Armani beauty section was super super helpful, spent a lot of time with me and my mom/sister matching our foundation and concealer shades. She was very patient and helpful. 10/10 would go here over selfridges where the lady was rude and not helpful at allll

The whole store stunk of sewage. Urine and faeces and sewage came out of the ceiling all over the beauty floor. Massive environmental health hazard.

HAMMAD AVOID!!! I would like to share the disappointed shopping experience at Fenwick of Bond Street and make a complaint about Hammad, who is in charge of ground floor hair accessories. He is the age of 50-60 years, grey hair, wearing glasses and of medium height. After trying out hairbands, we wanted to purchase two from the brand called NamJosh. But one of the items had a clear sign of damage. Given it’s the last one in stock so we wonder if we could get a certain amount of compensation to purchase it. The two young sales reps were very nice but could not decide so called “the manager” Hammad to help. When “the manager” arrived and we explained the situation. “If you don’t want it I’ll keep it myself”, “no discount” he grabbed the hairband from my hand and said it in a very aggressive way. I was shocked and he walked away without any explanation. I asked the young reps for his name and all of the sudden he came back, raised his voice - almost shouting: “why do you need to know my name? You don’t need to know my name!” I double confirmed, “you don’t want me to know your name? Why?” He said yes. I then said “i found what you said is offensive”. He interpreted as “That was a joke, I was making a joke” - then he walked away. Two sales reps, my friend and I don’t find it funny at all and clearly he was being extremely rude. We really liked the hair bands and we only asked him with politeness. tbh given that the item is flawed I think it’s a reasonable request to have a certain discount. Even if Hammad explains to us there’s no discount in a more polite way, we would accept the fact and buy the items. However his response was just unacceptable and disrespectful at all. We then ask for permission from the two young reps to take pictures of the label and decide to leave. One of the reps told us the manager’s name was Hammad. We walked out the mall and again Hammad showed up and started following us. We were frightened! I have always loved shopping at Fenwick on Bond Street but after this horrible experience I am not sure if I feel comfortable walking in again. What Hammad did was not just unprofessional but purely disturbing and ruined our shopping mood.

Loveliest Department Store in London. On Beautiful Bond Street.

Staff are too laid back and the aircon was spotty in places so they have fans dotted around. I had to wait 15min just to get some service so not good at all. This place needs a major revamp to keep up with the times. Give this place a miss.

I just walked in on my birthday with my husband to find a summer throw and the personal shopper Darelle really made my day, helping us to pick the perfect outfit and gifting a few extra samples :) Very kind & helpful. Thank you as well to the lovely Joseph concession manager.

Very traditional English departmental store. Mainly English/European luxury goods. You will like it if you are strongly loyal to England/European brands.

Had a great experience at the Armani beauty stand with the lovely Albanian girl working there (I’m just sorry I forgot to ask her name!). Went in for a colour match on my foundation and ended up having a full makeover, I enjoyed the experience so much. The lady there was really friendly and put me at ease. Found my perfect shade, and had a great experience. Thank you!

Avoid if you’re black… you will be racially profiled while you shop.

Lovely shop, some great bargains

I have placed an order two months ago and returned it because it didn’t match the product. I got a confirmation that the return was accepted two months ago. I haven’t got my refund back and they are not replying to any emails or contact forms. Will never order from here again, very disappointing customer experience.

I have just had such a lovely experience shopping for a hat for a wedding at the New Bond St Fenwick. The store is quite spacious and relaxing. Mr Tony couldn’t have been more helpful and professional. He managed to find me the perfect style and colour. I got exactly what I need to match my dress and complexion. Am very grateful. Thank you. Will definitely visit again. Such a shame the store is closing down.

We had coffee and a bite to eat in the restaurant - all good - the store it’s self well laid out - varied brands and good choice - have to say the lady in the lingerie dept is excellent, very knowledgeable of her job - a pleasure to shop in

Fantastic selection and good sales!

A large and comfortable place to shop. I'm sad that it's closing for good later in 2023. I wish that these legacy retailers would embrace the concept of "destination shopping" and make themselves a place where you can spend as long as you want to explore their store. Bring back the hat and coat and bag check rooms and generally support customers spending as much time as they have with you. One aspect of this store that could have been better is accessibility for the handicapped. Each floor seems to have small staircases between different levels so even though they have a lift, you can't get to all of each floor if you're in a wheelchair or are pushing a pram, or are using crutches. I love that they are very dog-friendly. 😎

I went to the west end to buy a pair of leather gloves for my sisters birthday and I went to marks and Spencer’s , self ridges and John Lewis. No dice. I went to Fenwicks in bond street and I was amazed by how well laid out and lit, welcoming this store was compared with the others. Great customer service and I found the gloves I needed. Head an shoulders above their more well known competitors. Highly recommended!

I worked here for a month to be honest glad I left. Management are bullies and always argue with security and staff for no reason they even shout front of customers which is not professional. Also had lack of training means managers are lazy One thing I enjoyed working here is staff are great

Return service is awful. I had to wait for more than 20 minutes to return the products which I had bought online. The staff told me that the person who deal with online returns is currently not at desk and therefore I need to wait (for no specific time mentioned how long I need to wait!). The customer service experience (online returns desk) has made it worse for me to buy products ever again at Fenwick.

Fenwick, a department store founded by the Fenwick family in 1882, has been on the news of the announcement that it will close its 130-year-old store on New Bond Street in central London. The retailer, along with neighboring properties, was sold to Lazari Investment for £430m and will close in 2024. Visit date : Wednesday, December 28, 2022

Shame it's being knocked down it's a classic example of upmarket dept store .

Good place to shop. I like the staff, quite helpful and not pushy. The store is not overcrowded: the right place for a relaxing shopping.

Visited the restaurant inside Fenwicks and tried thier Christmas turkey from thier festive menu. The turkey was surprisingly moist and came with the whole lot of accompaniments such as broccoli, roast potatoes etc . I enjoyed the meal . The service was good and the manager very Friendly and welcoming.

Wry nice shop you will find everything you want there ..

Nice store, great food, nice staff, great products but terrible signage so that you don't know what floor you're on, and the disabled toilets were not open.

- Don’t waste your time here. Bought some Chelsea boots in a sale, realised I bought wrong size. Immediately emailed, no reply. Tried to exchange in store and told I now have to pay full price as the sale ended. All I wanted was to swap the size not re-purchase the item. Terrible customer service, no help in store nor over the phone. Fenwick’s used to be a good department store.

Popped in to shop their archive sale on the top floor. The staff were absent / not on hand to help. That was a little annoying as I wanted to enquire about the availability of sizes. The stock wasn’t laid out as I would have expected of a store of its calibre; it was sort of an abandoned space. I left uninspired and not purchasing anything. I perused the beauty aisles, Bisi Syed a few of my favourite concessions and also had a wander around the vintage collection space. Again, apathetic service from the staff so I got bored and left.

Sneak away from the crowds for a lovely tea or my favorite having a few glasses of bubbles with a sweet treat.

It’s an amazing experience to visit this department store. They have very special selection of luxury fashion, beauty products and accessories. Now it’s quite convenient to come here by Elizabeth Line. It just about 1 minute walk from Bond Street Elizabeth line Station (Hanover Square Exit)!

It was ok, it does not have the variety of fashion it used to have. It was a great place to go if you needed an outfit or dress for a night out or evening function. The sales staff were lovely, very disappointed with a group of senior staff who were more interested in chatting and deciding on merchandising a corner of the department than helping a customer who clearly wanted help and intended to spend. Bricks and mortar retail is all about service and having the sizes available. Please don't forget how you used to operate and how great your buying was. Why did you change??

Badly laid out and inattentive staff.

Had a terrible experience making a purchase here in the beauty department at the Trinny London counter (I see another reviewer had the same issue). The salesperson ignored me while cheerfully helping others who didn't even make a purchase, and when I finally got her attention after asking to ring up specific items, she acted like she was doing ME a favor and was super reluctant. It was honestly the most awkward interaction. She acted like she really didn't want to serve me for some reason even though I was extremely polite and was making a purchase within 5 minutes of entering the store. She didn't treat anyone else like this, so I found the whole experience extremely puzzling. Almost like I was being treated like a second class citizen. It was very odd and I felt so bad about making a purchase. I won't be back and honestly wish I had just left when I was being treated so rudely.

Could not use my gift card online. I called them and they said I could only use it in store. Went to this bind street store and it didn't work. They took the card and my details and said they would call me back to give me a new card. Never heard back! It was 3 weeks ago.

I took my mum to get her make up done at trinny london and chantelle was AMAZING! My mum and my friend and I felt so welcomed by her she listened to what my mum wanted but also told her what she needed she was just amazing and my mum had a lovely birthday with the help of her thank you Chantelle xxx

Went to the Trinny London counter yesterday as I love her brand and have been using it for over a year. I had rocked up at around 5pm and was quite miffed that I was ignored by all of the ladies at the counter as I was perusing the display. It was only when a couple of white women turned up that a sales assistant had approached them and asked them if they needed a hand. I was stood at the same counter looking at the same display stand as the ladies but they never once made eye contact with me or approached me. It does put me off of the brand and the store. I felt disheartened and left. Will stick to Harrods and Selfridges as Fenwick do not seem to take any feedback or complaints seriously nor have they mastered customer service. Pretty sad as I used to work for Bentalls in Kingston which part of the Fenwick family.

I gave up on purchasing shoes here today because the sales assistant was so rude that despite the strong will to purchase, I decided to go elsewhere. After I told her that I’ve changed my mind, following a ‘discussion’ where she was trying to explain to me that I’m basically blind, she took the shoes and threw them away… Not sure how the customer service plummeted so much…

Nice shop with a small however nice beauty area. The clearance and restrooms are on the top floor and can we worry the trip upstairs to see what’s on offering. Tilbury counter here has very pleasant staff and found a nice hat.

I would highly recommend Sophia Nwogu at Fenwick Bond Street for personal shopping. She asked all the right questions beforehand and had an incredible work wardrobe ready for me when I arrived. I am very thankful for her help and style input.

Haven't been in this store for many years, still lovely as ever! I don't know how they survive, never seems terribly busy. Had lunch in the restaurant, which was lovely. Great service, lovely relaxed atmosphere bright and airy. Great place to stop for lunch if ever in the area. Would recommend.

A not so hidden gem on Bond Street. Not as big as the other department stores so understandably a smaller range. However, staff are some of the best around and create an excellent laid back and attentive shopping experience.
