A great, cozy restaurant with friendly staff and fantastic food. It’s also great value for money. Highly recommend.

Tasty cuisine, a small restaurant to discover for the quality of the dishes, the simple welcome and a typical decoration.

This is the real restaurant with the 4Bs: Good, Beautiful, Cheap and Pretty. I would definitely return because not only is the food delicious but the atmosphere is very friendly, the manager is very friendly.

I had Lamb Sheema, mango lassi and masala chai. The mango lassi and masala chai were excellent 👌 The lamb sheema did not contain much lamb, and was quite bland. The portion size of rice is generous. Service took a while, but the waiter was very busy with other tables and he was lovely.

If anyone wants good tasty indian food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended this place.

I love this place! The food is out of this world, the atmosphere is super cozy and the prices are extremely reasonable (especially for students). An excellent little spot if you fancy a quick and delicious curry

Been there several times, curry and chai are very good and affordable, but service can be less reliable depending on which waiter is on shift that day. Could take a long time for both waiting to place order and waiting for food. Besides, the space utilization needs improvement as guests would constantly bump into other tables to get around.

Food was god awful and probably microwaved. Shame as we had a nice feeling going in.

Very tasty, if you’re a lamb lover they have good lamb.… I would however work on the salad in terms of taste, seasoning, and combinations. Overall great.

My favourite place to eat in Edinburgh!

Lovely little place. I've not eaten but keep coming for coffees. It's so peaceful and cosy, and has nice quiet music playing which creates a calm atmosphere. It makes you realise how rare it is to find anywhere in public to sit and properly relax! I wish I had somewhere like this near where I lived!

Decided to try this place out on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. Being very close to my favourite Mosque kitchen, I’d say it is as good. All you have to know is that there are not many tables so either book or chance it. I’ll definitely go back soon! Thanks for the delicious food. I didn’t take any photos sadly.

At I’ve never thought I was going to like the food as the place was too narrow but damn ! Busy people are even waiting out side for their food their Menu is well designed the place from inside is completely charming the quality of service is above the speculation I’ll give 100% the moment he brought the dishes I shocked with beautiful of their dishes the taste is very delicious guys don’t miss the chance to try it if you been to Edinburgh cause it would be a shame if you didn’t go there ‘ muchas gracias amigo la comida estaba perfecta

I can never fault this place. Always worth a visit when in Edinburgh. My personal favourite and recommendation is the Chicken Domuda.

We didn't like the food that much, but the service was very good, I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for cheap halal food in Edinburgh with great portions, and are not really bothered about ambience and comfort, as the place was very small we didn't fancy it!!

A classic. Came here throughout university and loved it then. I came back recently and I’m pleased to say I still love it now. Food is delicious. Decor is charming. Staff are friendly. What more could you ask for?

Pretty good food for an affordable price at a tourist attraction site. I believe the chapatis are elephant atta. The place itself is tiny and heavily decorated.

We learned about this restaurant based on a recommendation from a staff member at Hollyrood Distillery, a short walk away, and are really glad we changed our plans to come here. It is a small place with a unique atmosphere. We wanted good, authentic Indian food, and they did not disappoint. Advise you get a booking or go early in the week, as it did fill up quickly (though they seem to turn over tables at a regular pace).

I couldn’t stay away from this place—went 5 out of 7 days in Edinburgh! The lamb on the bone is perfectly spiced and tender, the dal rice is comforting and flavorful, and the chicken and rice plate is spot on. Plus, everything’s under £10. If you’re after real Indian food on a budget, this is it!

If you are living in Edinburgh or in UK and you are of Indian origin, you may like the food. But if you are travelling to Edinburgh/UK from India or UAE, you will find the food tasteless because your taste buds wants spice food. This is my personal experience.

It has a very unique layout. You can have a great value meal in Edinburgh for dinner. The food is delicious and the service is very good. There are many customers. If you want to go there, you should go there early.

Trying new food joints and restaurants is like an experiment, sometimes is success & sometimes failure. This was worst experience. First of all it is not an Indian restaurant. It is run and operated by Nigerian people. tastes those ready meals curries from Lidl and Tescos. Most of their inventory comes from Lidl shop across the road. The guy in the kitchen just makes meals hot and another guy serves them on a plate. I didn’t finish my meal. 0 stars.

Very friendly people, run by an ensemble of ethnicities. Good food available for low prices. My German friend said, "The mango lassi is serious" and it absolutely is my favorite thing to order. Student offers and good snacks available.

Fairly priced and quickly meal. The chai is very nice, the chef’s lamb is a mild spicy and tastes good - you get what you pay for, so nothing spectacular. Rice is a bit overcooked for my taste. The big plus is that they serve really fast

Very well priced, good food, can't complain.

This spot is a little cozy, comfortable place. It smells delicious and the staff is very welcoming. They were patient and gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted to order. The food was fresh and the most delicious chicken masala I have ever had. The rice was cooked to perfection making it nice and fluffy. The chicken masala was mouth watering. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Very small place on one of the main streets of Edinburgh. Very cute inside. It has various proposals, many vegan and then it has the single dish solution, thanks to which you can taste more things with drinks and dessert included. Off the menu I tasted a samosa but nothing exceptional, the main course and the dessert were very good, the latter was amazing, although not typical Indian but Scottish but really well done. The service is very simple, it's like feeling at home. The price is normal, but certainly not expensive. Well done!!!

Inexpensive, comfortable and cosy Indian curry house. I’ve visited a few times over the years and it’s always a pleasant experience. There’s a great laidback, homely atmosphere and the food is always delicious. All excellent value for money too. Absolutely loved the chicken domoda on my most recent visit. Can’t go wrong with a side of naan or a mango lassi either

Excellent address, the dishes are delicious! The waitress is very funny and very kind! Very affordable price! We ate there 2 evenings in a row and we will come back again!

I got here with my partner, and we were a bit worried that it would be spicy food as your normal masalas and stuff would be on the heavily seasoned / spicy side. This food was just perfection. Had so much flavour without being overpowering or heavy. I could have easily ate another portion ( no I couldn't, but it was just Soo good, I wish I would have had more). The atmosphere is good too and I loved the decor.

Ordered the £22 Meat Platter and was very disappointed. Portion sizes were tiny and quality of the food was low. Never like leaving negative reviews but people need warned.

We tried to visit for breakfast but despite the name this place doesn't always open at ten am. The opening hours are written on the window as 10am start 7 days a week. We had a wasted journey which was a real shame as other reviews tell us that the food is great.

Quite frankly it's offensive they even call themselves an Indian restaurant. No respect for the cuisine at all. Not only is it NOT authentic Indian food, it's hardly even edible. The curry is simply unpleasant and lacking any sort of taste, the meat is scarce and dry, the rice is stodgy and moist, the nan is wet, and the lassi is literally vanilla yogurt with jam. Avoid at all costs. This is an embarrassment.

Apart from the name, nothing is close to Indian food..

I may have suffered fraud at this restaurant because they charged twice for the same meal because of their possibly broken POS machine, but I would have no problem paying at any other merchant around here. To this day, this restaurant still owes me 8.95 pounds. I will do everything possible to protect my rights as a consumer.

One of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh! Such a cosy atmosphere and the food is delicious. My husband and I typically share the meat platter which comes with a drink each and a dessert to share. The cheesecake is to die for. I think about it all the time. The service is great, the vibe is great, and it’s a fantastic place to get dinner if you want to listen in on uni gossip lol.
