The food is always brilliant and when asked to make something which isn't always on the menu, staff are very accommodating. Love the outside seating area when the weather is nice but equally the seating upstairs is a good atmosphere.

I visited the restaurant yesterday for the first time for lunch, service, food and atmosphere was all 5 stars. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, food was nice and well presented and the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. I highly recommend visiting 1 Momento if you haven't already.

Was only waking past the resturant buy decided to ho for food and we was not disappointed. All the food was fresh and the taste was amazing . Portion sizes of the food were by no means small. Great experience overall , will definitely be coming back

I had a wonderful experience at this place. We were served by a lovely young girl and a charming lady with curly hair, both very friendly and modest. The food was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend for great food and a warm atmosphere!

Absolutely amazing evening for my birthday meal. The guys serving us were so lovely and the food just as amazing. Also at the end they brought me out a birthday cake as they'd overheard from other family members at the table. Such a hidden gem. Thank you for a lovely night.

Well never got to try food. Ordered starter and main waited around twenty minutes to come to table and say they had done main first would we want it all bringing together. We said no because obviously we ordered it as a starter for a reason. We didn’t even bother just paid for drinks because no doubt the main would have just being kept under the heater while they cooked starter. No apology or anything definitely wouldn’t come again!

Had a fabulous time there for my daughter's 19th Birthday. The staff are first class. They gave my daughter a free cocktail and tiramisù. The food is delicious and really generous portions. Had a lovely few hours there. Highly recommend and will be telling everyone.

We visited on a Friday night and the restaurant was empty apart from one other table. I've no idea why, it should be full. The food is really top notch. We were impressed with our starters, mains and sides. The service is also impeccable, both of the guys who served us were really attentive and courteous. Will definitely be back.

Just got back from momento after celebrating my birthday with my family. What a lovely place. The staff were beyond amazing. We consisted of a family from 4 to 65 ( there was 9 ). They couldn’t have been helpful. The food was amazing. They catered for all of us, vegan vegetarians as well as the meat eaters. If you want a decent meal with a relaxing atmosphere then this is the place to go.

Had a lovely family birthday meal here tonight, a party of 15. We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and the service we received throughout our visit was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious. We were visiting friends in Barnsley who always take us out for our Sunday lunch. We'd normally go for a roast dinner but they booked us in here as an altrenative. What a great treat! The restaurant is well situated for the town centre. We chose to eat in but there are tables outside too. The menu is extensive and caters for veggie eaters. how is it possible to order food, and bring you something else, and the hostess to say I don't care. Two adults and two children order nicely and to my surprise the food for an adult comes an hour before the other dishes!!! then after an hour, the other part of the order comes, but something else than what I ordered!!! when I tell the waitress that it's not ok that she brought my food before the other children, and that it got cold, she tells me it's not my problem, you should have eaten.... what can I say, we had to wait longer. with children still 30 minutes to redo the order, because he brought something else....

Food over cooked and burned salmon sent it back for them to just scrap it off then asked to leave a positive comment never again shocking

Came here for the first time with my partner and her daughter and boyfriend (22nd August). The staff were extremely helpful and friendly during our visit. The food, was amazing with good feedback from my fellow guests. I had octopus which was cooked superbly and the other dishes looked just as good. The staff were very grateful for our custom and came to the table to personally thank us for our custom. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

We thought we would try this Italian restaurant out for a change. Well what can we say great service and great food . We definitely will be going back with some friends and family members. Only reason not 5 stars has no tiramisu and would have loved this to finish my meal off . I had a brownie instead was good

Very very friendly staff our waiter was lovely I can't remember his name but he was the bald guy. The food was very good and reasonably priced. On the day we went it was not to busy and as a result service was very quick but it looks like it had enough staff to cover busier times I can't complain about a single think very very good. The food and service was great I had the salmon with lemon sauce my husband had scallops has a starter which we shared which was served with rice and side salad the sauce with it just had a hint of chilli and there was more than enough His main was surf and turf which was a sirloin steak served with grilled seabass and a very large king prawn veg and new potatoes well worth the money and not overpriced

We only popped in for a little snack while being out in town, but it was lovely. The garlic bread with cheese was beautiful and was big enough to share between two. The service was great, guys working in the restaurant were very polite. The price for a starter was really cheap, less than £6 for a cheese garlic bread. Would love to come back and try out different dishes in the future 😊

Visited 1 momento on Friday afternoon with my wife with an intention to have a few drinks on the terrace and tea. The terrace and downstairs eating area was empty with a small party upstairs. We ordered our starter and pizza/table salad. The starter came and was excellent we shared the anti pasta. But 45 minutes is not acceptable to await a pizza to be prepared therefore we became fed up with waiting and informed the staff. I was i formed that they were busy how i do not know as we were the only ones eating downstairs. I’m not sure if the restaurantis now under new ownership but extremely poor compared to the numerous previous visits we eaten there. With the new town centre restaurants opening 1Momento needs to improve its service drastically or i’m afraid its going to get found out. Considering we have to make our spare cash spin out this was a real disappointment Dave R.

Not been here since before covid so I thought I would introduce my friend today to this little gen.Beautiful sunny day so sat on the sun terrace ,lovely place to people watch and nice to see it so busy.Food was gorgeous, we both had Chicken Diane gorgeous chunky chips and salad.Will definitely be back,good service too lovely friendly staff.

Great to see the passion has been reinstated at this great establishment again. The new ownership has taken over and the quality has taken a huge leap in the right direction. Everything was tasty, flavoursome, and the strawberry daiquiri is a must have drink! Looking forward to coming back abd seeing the new owner succeed!

We was visiting after hearing the restaurant was taken over under new ownership. Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming and hospitable. We were show to our table and given food and drink menus and was given ample time to browse and see what we fancied to eat. The staff were very friendly , approachable and nothing but professional and welcoming. There was nothing too much trouble for the team working tonight. We ordered our drinks and they arrived within minutes and of a good quality too. We ordered our food was asked how we’d like certain things to be. Our food arrived and it was cooked to perfection with no complaints at all. All cooked well and so so tasty. The environment was relaxed with a subtle music playing in the background to make the environment so much more pleasurable and enjoyable whilst dining out. We have no complaints with the restaurant, the staff or the quality of food offered.

So happy 1 Momento is back with they’re original menu.!!!Food is absolutely amazing and the service is 10/10 definitely the best place to eat and drink in Barnsley. Couldn’t recommend enough!!!

So we came here for my friend's bday a couple months ago and honestly I'm not coming back again. All staff were really nice and did everything they could during our stay but our food was appalling. For starters we ordered cured meats and cheese platter and what we received was a couple of meatballs with cheese in some kind of sauce. When we asked about it they just said the kitchen didn't have what we ordered so they made something similar. Really? What about you tell us u don't have what we wanted and we can order something else? My friend ordered a veggie pasta and she found bits of bacon in it 😳 My pasta Bolognese was tasteless, I could do better myself. They didn't even put any cheese on pasta which I think is a common thing to do in a proper Italian Restaurant? It was 6 of us and most of the meals came at different times so some of us were eating cold meals as we waited for everyone to get their meals. I have to mention though the staff was really trying to do their best but it was the kitchen's fault. One of the waitresses looked very stressed as it seemed like everyone at the restaurant was complaining about something. I felt very sorry for them. By the end of the evening we got a few free shots which were nice but we felt like it ruined our evening. I have visited here when it first opened and my review was 5star but this time it was very disappointing.

Has changed management and name. Not as good as one momento. Service very slow and unorganized. Some people had finished eating when others where just getting their food. Starter plates not moved off the table before mains were served. We were asked if we wanted sweet before we had finished our mains, due to half the table had finished.

Everything was great. We went in early so it was quiet but the staff are great and really attentive so I am confident that it will have a great atmosphere when more people are in.

Good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Friendly staff who are always happy to help. Indoor (two floors) and outdoor dining but still small enough to feel intimate. Access for people with limited mobility could be an issue as there were steep stairs to access the external area.

I apologise for 1 star review! First and second time here was lovely. Tasty food and good service. Today we arrived at the restaurant and grabbed a seat on the terrace and we been informed by a rude lad that they are fully booked. However, the terrace was 30% busy and plenty of spaces inside as well. Was about 18:45 On the website I could freely book a table because apparently wasn’t fully booked. This kind of behaviour will keep me away from this place unfortunately

This is the first time me and my partner have eaten at this restaurant & I cannot recommend it enough. The food is delicious, the venue is stunning & the hospitality is amazing. This has got to be the best Italian we have ever visited.

What a disappointment I have taken my grandparents out for the 82nd birthday meal we used to love this place not anymore, food was bland and the salmon was clearly frozen as it was watery inside my mushroom sauce was just cream with a few onions, we spoke to the waitress about our concerns and her reply was oakie dokie I should have realised the minuet we walked in and the menus were tossed on the table at us, I have never been out for food and been this disappointed I’m absolutely gutted this was my grandparents birthday meal.

Visited this evening for a meal before visiting the Lamproom Theatre. Food was superb as was the service. Will definitely visit again.
