The best restaurants serving Vegetarian food in Lambeth London

Devastated to find this wonderful, cosy little vegetarian restaurant (established 1978) has now permanently closed. Streatham won’t be the same without this oasis of calm. Their World Famous Banofee pie, generous salads and bakes now gone forever. Farewell to Kim and all the lovely staff and thanks for all the delicious veggy food and organic wines over the years.

I cannot believe the number of good reviews for this restaurant. I stumbled across this place while walking around Lambeth in late 2022. It was in Church grounds and I thought it would be a good place to get some lunch and a coffee/tea. Besides being ridiculously expensive (lunch options minimum of 40 pounds) the staff were incredibly rude/snooty to me. Not sure if this was because I was on my own or didn't look like I belonged there because I wasn't old and rich (it's not like I'm poor?) They sat me at the worst table next to the bins and cutlery, where I had a 12 pound carrot soup with a slice of bread (which I think was extra cost?) and a 6 pound cup of tea. I do not recommend this place, especially if you had children with you (which luckily I did not). Worst restaurant experience of my life.
