The best restaurants serving Thai food in South Cambridgeshire East of England

This is a real shame. A Thai lady used to run the kitchen here and the home made Thai food was always really good. We arrived expecting Thai food and were told after ordering drinks that she had retired. As we had drinks and were really hungry we ordered from the traditional pub grub menu, which wasn’t exactly inspiring to say the least. Service was friendly and quick but the food was absolutely awful. The lasagna was greasy and luke warm, the mince was all stuck together and it was largely tasteless. It also had peas in it, which is odd for a lasagna and it made me think it was just a microwave meal from Iceland. My partner had sausage and mash, the sausages were like cheap richmonds you buy at the supermarket and the mash was lumpy, it was advertised as described with a red wine gravy, this was a stretch to say the least - doubtful it had seen any red wine at all. But we ate it as we were starving. We made a friendly complaint and the lady apologised but didn’t offer anything off of the £48 bill (which included two glasses of wine and a beer). The lasagne was £16 and the Sausages and mash was a similar cost. To be honest I would have been unhappy at paying £5 at the supermarket for that lasagne. Possibly the worst meal I’ve had in many years.

Marvellous everything was excellent

It's been a few years since we visited 77 in Caxton. I always remember it being very good but our experience this week was fantastic. Still the same quirky pub setting but the food was exceptional - probably some of the best Thai food I've ever had. It's strange how you get out of the habit of going places, and when you return, it's far better than you remember. We won't be leaving it so long before returning. I also noticed that they do 'take-aways' which is good to know.

Excellent, fast service, great food

Awful, no other words to describe it. Cold soulless place Awful food, pie with gravy thicker than ghost busters slime, under cooked inedible scampi, slimey cauliflower things. No receipt available from the printer. Avoid at all costs Yes I should have complained but it also wasn't the most approachable place.
