One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Fantastic service, fantastic restaurant. Scallops were the best I’ve had. Highly recommend!!

Have always wanted to eat here so booked it for my birthday treat with my daughter. Restaurant very nice but disappointing experience. Seated at a table which was very sticky. Asked waiter to clean it 2-3 times but still very sticky, in hindsight should have moved to another table. We started with scallops & calamari. Then I had crab thermidor(as I hadn't had it before) & fish n chips. I thought waiter said that the crab was £35 but when I rec'd bill I was charged £45, which was expensive for what was served as barely any white meat in claws & brown meat was tasteless. Waiter kindly gave us some brownies as a birthday celebration. Overall very unimpressed & would not go back.

Booked a table for 14 to celebrate a family birthday. We were given a table for 10 and told by the Manager to squeeze the children up!! This may have been possible had the idea of the restaurant not been to SERVE YOURSELF!! When I complained we were reseated. The service was next to non existent and had to go to the bar to chase our drinks (ordered three and only two arrived) . When I ordered another drink I was told to hurry up and drink it as we had 15 minutes left on the table. For £20.99 per head and the cost of the drinks I thought this place overpriced and disappointed.I will not be returning.

First visit and in short would never go back and definitely would not recommend. Incredibly slow service and poorly managed with not enough staff. Food ok although Sushi was all covered in sauce which spoilt it Detail: After 40 minute wait we chased up our drinks and the fact we still hadn’t been asked for a food order. Appeared to be 1 person on the bar in the restaurant but couldn’t make any drinks instead transferring the order to the 1812 bar next door with long delays. Around 20 mins wait second order of drinks when there were zero other customers in the restaurant and not many in the main bar and first round had been dry for a while. Didn’t bother with anymore. Came across as same bar guy making up the sushi whilst 1 chef doing hot food. That was another 40-60 min wait for food after the drinks wait. Very poorly organised and not fair on the skeleton shift of staff that were there. No expectations set on wait time. Menu looked good with loads of things I’d have liked to eat and tapas options like the bao buns were nice, calamari and Korean chicken also good but very salty. Sushi we went for the platter which was £30 a head and smothered in sauce which actually borderline ruined it - every single sushi piece on the platter has sauce and made it heavy. Should have been maybe one row max. Optional extra sauce on side. So bad would have to say on service to avoid altogether.
