Staff are faultless. Always so kind, welcoming and generous. The section of food is great and has a lovely authentic feel. Best place to go in the area for a coffee and a a snack.

A Sunday Lunch Worth Waiting For! No one has ever anticipated a Sunday lunch more than me! I first met Simonetta, the proprietor of Ida, nearly a year ago while swimming. I’d already heard about the restaurant, and when I discovered Simonetta was also a novelist, I pre-ordered her book Ida at My Table right away. During a long recovery, I read it cover to cover—reliving the story of her family and the restaurant in beautifully descriptive prose. I felt as though I’d already met everyone before even stepping foot inside. Not long after the book launch, I attended a reading with my friend Adam where we finally met the real-life characters. Since then, I’d been dreaming of a meal curated by Simonetta and her husband Avi. Life got in the way, and I also wanted to wait until Adam—who was observing Ramadan—could join. So we held off just a little longer. When we finally arrived, the day couldn’t have been more perfect. Sunlight poured through the large windows, filtering through shelves lined with bottles, casting a warm, inviting glow across the room. It felt immediately comforting. Having a proper chat with Avi and seeing Simonetta in her “castle” was a joy in itself. We were treated like royalty—but it’s clear everyone who walks through those doors receives the same heartfelt hospitality. The food exceeded expectations. Everything—from the antipasti to the handmade pasta—was clearly made with love and care. I had the tagliatelle al ragù, but we shared and tasted all the dishes. The food was rich yet wholesome, flavourful, and deeply satisfying. Each dish felt like something made at home by someone who truly cares. Ida’s whole team are exceptional. Yes, I’m biased. But if you’ve read the book, met the family, or simply appreciate a meal made from the heart, you’ll understand. This wasn’t just lunch. It was a story brought to life.

After a long Saturday morning out and about with a friend, we stopped into this place for a bit to eat. Worst decision ever! We asked what the soup of the day was . The server said golden vegetables. We opted for two soups and chicken baguettes. We were then served with the soup which turned out to be packet cup a soup! Salty and powdery. I asked the server what is this, where is the vegetable soup. He said it's instant soup which is what all cafes are serving. We disagreed and told him not to long we had been to a cafe near and had fresh soup. He then said this is what head office had them doing and things would change soon. The sandwich had wilted blacken lettuce and tomato. We couldn't have the soup, it was too salty for my older friend. I couldn't phantom I was paying 3.50 for cup a soup! We were going try their cakes but was so disappointed! They refused to take this off the bill after taking the untouched bowls away. In this cost of living crisis this was a treat for my older retired friend. But we went away feeling not only robbed by blatantly lied to by the server. Telling us the soup of the day was golden vegetable and really good! Will not return there and wish things like this could be reported

Best mixed grilled in many years of living in London.Superior meat quality. Lovely people. Simple store but squeaky clean with a few seating options available. ( Bring cash though - no card payment)

Muy decepcionante todo el día, la mesa tenía manchas de ketchup endurecido cubriéndola lo que debería haber sido una bandera roja. Pedí la doble hamburguesa de queso americano, que se depositó rápidamente en nuestra mesa, pequeña de lo que esperaba, pero al menos había un escabeche decente, patatas fritas no estamos tan mal, no muchos de ellos, pero la hamburguesa me llenaría (presagio ominoso). Un poco de la hamburguesa fue suficiente, como probar la cera vieja de velas, sabor y textura, la peor hamburguesa que he probado, no imagines que soy un esnob de la comida me encantaría bajar un maccys y disfrutar de un ladrón de vez en cuando. Pero francamente no hay suficiente cerveza barata en la bodega para lavar el sabor de esta horrible hamburguesa. Se levantó y dejó la cosa vil como advertencia al siguiente visitante.

Food is great. All halal so even better. The rolling ice cream tasted nice. The wonderful lady who made the ice cream hooked me up with both flavours as I couldn’t decide which one I wanted! Saturday meal!

Very poor. The food wasn't particularly hot even though they delivered it quite quickly. The salad was off-colour and the meat Was cold & looked like it had been hanging around all week. Needless to say I've had tummy gripes all weekend.

Well known to be one of the worst Carribean kitchens in and around Harrow. The food is often late or arrives cold, nothing is fresh, usually prepared as a batch and reheated (so it's more like catering) and that isn't even the worst part of it all, try experiencing this and telling Mamma V - she will tell you her food is fantastic and she is always busy, but the 3 star google reviews (which were actually worse before she had some friends top the score up) and 2 star just-eat reviews (which she can't cheat as easily) tell a story. It's a shame because it is a charming little dining room that really feels like you're being hosted in someone's home, but the food is worse than not up to par.

No entregaron nuestra comida ya que dijeron que les cobraría llamar a nuestro teléfono para informarnos que había llegado. Lo pasaron como completado y nos cobraron de todos modos. Cuando llamé preguntando por qué eran increíblemente groseros y me culpaban por tener un número internacional. Servicio horrible
