Mamma V's Caribbean and English Cuisine in City of London, Westminster

Well known to be one of the worst Carribean kitchens in and around Harrow. The food is often late or arrives cold, nothing is fresh, usually prepared as a batch and reheated (so it's more like catering) and that isn't even the worst part of it all, try experiencing this and telling Mamma V - she will tell you her food is fantastic and she is always busy, but the 3 star google reviews (which were actually worse before she had some friends top the score up) and 2 star just-eat reviews (which she can't cheat as easily) tell a story. It's a shame because it is a charming little dining room that really feels like you're being hosted in someone's home, but the food is worse than not up to par.

Recently, best take away food! really delicious! Patties, peppered steak, jerk chicken...at a good price too...a bit of a wait, but really worth it!

After waiting 2 hours and then having to visit the venue, to find it closed down. Im £77 quid out of pocket...

Order on Uber eats, curry goat zero flavour and never seen so much oil in my life. Paid for two portions of plantain and never received any the lady said it was too soft to send out and to claim it. Uber refused to give me a refund. Sent a soggy week old brown salad never again

Ordered for at around 9pm. 10 o clock came i rang, phone went to busy. bearing in mind this restaurant closes at 11pm... i called back at 10:26 pm about 18 times no answer, i kept calling yet no answer. it’s now 11pm. no food and they haven’t contacted me but took £25 of my money

Asked for Oxtail and they called to say it wasnt available, so I said id go for Curry goat instead.....what turns up? Freezing cold Escovitch Fish?? Asked for BBQ Jerk wings....get sweet & sour jerk wings Took 1.5hours Rice was average and the coleslaw I think was from a packet. The prawn platter was nice £43 wasted, wouldn't come back here ever

I ordered curry goat, oxtail and jerk chicken wings via just eats. I ordered at 2.45 and the delivery was not made until 4.30. I did receive a call from the proprietor at 3.55 to apologize for the delay. This I was willing to overlook. However, when our food did finally arrive it was warm and very disappointing. Both curry goat and oxtail was tough to eat and mainly contained bone (I am used to this) and fat. The jerk chicken wings had a white complexion!!!! The jerk seasoning was good though. Sorry will not be ordering again. Total cost £23.00 approx. Do not consider this meal to be value for money.
