Went to see the Satin Dollz. Brilliant vocal entertainment, tight harmonies, all with a tiki theme. Cocktails were excellent, a wonderful mai tai. Recommend the entertainment (the Dollz are there every Friday until 9th July and we’ll go back at least once) and the drinks. Really good staff too.

We just ordered one course, of a burger and the beef malayan, but both were very delicious.Cocktails were okay, but actually perhaps not as good as I recall from previous visits - maybe just made poor choices this time.Service wasn't particularly attentive, but the restaurant was full.

It was my first time visiting Trader Vics for my birthday after COVID-19 and my first impression is the atmosphere was lovely and friendly. The staff who attended to us “Rene” was very knowledgeable and made positive recommendations. In a nutshell Rene truly cared about my experience and gave me efficient and outstanding service and he made my day very memorable!! The food was dynamite! We were happy with our meals! The lobster dish was stunning. I highly recommend Trader Vics!!

Our absolute favourite restaurant! We’ve missed it so much during the pandemic and we can’t wait for it to open again. The best food, best atmosphere, best music. We had our engagement party here in 2019 and cannot reccomend it enough for that too. The staff are great - we love everything about it.

Christmas eve was the worst night in this place they are playing a bad background Christmas music only 3 songs over and over again the managers don’t care what customers wanted ppl kept asking to change this boring songs and they refused until ppl started to leave! It was just a waist of time

Excellent service. Good fun with the family. Fantastic service, very friendly. Live music that was very nice. Starters were great. Portion sizes probably a little small for price. Good atmosphere. Recommend for a date rather than family meal.

Visité un sábado por la noche pre reservado muy ocupado. Comenzamos con cócteles, tienen una buena elección. Tenía música en vivo que era servidores de hielo agradable y tan buena comida como antes. Gestioné 2 cursos gestionados por otros 3. Gran lugar El gran servicio incluso notó el cumpleaños de mi hijo y escribió feliz cumpleaños en chocolate alrededor de su plato, agregó una vela y comenzó el canto.

A great south seas experience in the heart of London. The service from Anis and his colleagues was 1st class. It was my son’s 18th birthday and they couldn’t have done enough to make it feel special.My only ask to make this a truly 5/5 restaurant would be to have some more choice for main courses.starters and deserts are great and the main courses very tasty. A few more options would be great.The cocktails are amazing and,again, awesome service, thankyou!

Quirky place with a long list of cocktails and live music. We had some bar food but expected much more and ended up sending one of the dishes back. Most food looked and tasted as if it were either boiled in a bag or taken out of the freezer. Service was excellent but we are unlikely to return.

All dishes were outstanding. Perfectly cooked, amazing array of flavours. Will come again. Our waiter Chand was very attentive. House wine and beer were very good. Lovely ambience about the place.

Anis looked after us last night, taking our orders and making sure everything was perfect. He was very welcoming and smiled a lot, making sure all our needs were met. He was truly a delight and the best thing about Trader's Vics. I used to go a lot in Dubai as I loved the food and atmosphere, but in London the food was not as great as I remembered it to be, but Anis made up for it with his kind words and big smile, He is definitely an asset to this place, I wish him all the best.

What makes this place so special is the way they make u feel they are so so friendly and welcoming . Every one of the staff I would say fantastic especially Anis . He can’t do enough for you, The fish was wonderful and calamari so good . Every time I go it seems to just get better. Can’t wait to go back . Prices so reasonable . Had an amazing time with my husband here! We enjoyed the set menu which included a delicious cocktail (The food was nice but we went mostly for the drinks and had to have a few more after the initial Mai Tai)

We had a really nice evening & the service & food were very good. We used a Groupon voucher. For desert try the pineapple upside down cake & run & raisin vanilla ice cream...absolutely amazing!

Nice greeting at door and help in choosing drink whilst waiting for table as we were early. Great decor and atmosphere. Food great we had a restricted menu because of voucher but had a good choice of food. waitress very attentive. Portions very generous loved the vegetable tempura to start and pork in black bean sauce with noodles. My husband loved his calamari and chicken adobo. Desserts of flourless chocolate cake and sago pudding were very good. Had more cocktails after dinner in bar. Carolina was so helpful to us when choosing cocktails before and after dinner and she was nice to chat to. Lovely evening and would tell people about it.

In the basement of the London Hilton in Park Lane, there is a lift for those unable to manage the stairs but it is well hidden, and you have to ask one of the friendly hotel reception staff to guide you through the fire doors.

I have been going to this place around the world and in London for 30 years..Always the same, I like it. Cosmos tidbits, crab rangoon, Meats and all kind of curries, superb desserts, with honey and nuts. Nice wine list and of course the unforgettable Mi Tai cocktails. Always a pleasure, every time I come back, especially with the memories accumalutated along the years.

We were permitted to sit at a reserved table, given the reservation was for around 40 mins time and we were only having a quick drink, but it was annoying to start getting shooed out of the table with 20 minutes still to go because the reservation arrived early...

This is a usual stop for us on a London visit. From the cocktails to the food we enjoy every sip and bite normaly! Our most recent visit (Nov '19) the drinks were as tasty as ever, and the staff in the bar were so friendly and fun. When we moved in for our meal, well, I would normally say maybe we caught our waiter on a bad night, but he was known to some of the others on our table for not being the most cheeriest of characters. You can forgive that, you don't need to engage really even though it helps the overall experience, but as long as the service is good, well then that's fine. But this, a quiet night, it was so hard to get his attention, when we did it then took so long to get what was asked etc. and it felt like we were inconveniencing him. It was just like he really didnt want to be there and we bore the brunt of it. Other experiences here we have had great staff, so this was disappointing to us. The food was not hot, only luke warm, and not everything as tasty as past experiences, so also, a little disappointing. Its not on the cheaper end of dining in a city that has SO many food options, so I do hope our next visit will be as we remember. And a little refresh of the dining area would be nice. If there has been any major changes in the last few years, its hard to see. Themed doesnt mean it has to stagnate and I would hate to see this London gem leave.

This restaurant is very expensive and only moderately good food. It’s certainly not something to write home about! We went for a birthday party - the place was quiet and a bit old fashioned. The food was slow and very expensive - London is a culinary capital and there are far better restaurants across the city for much lower prices. The service was slow, and the food took a while to come. The restaurant is confused in style - serving Asian, Mediterranean and some Polynesian food. I had the sea bass which was sad, overcooked and cold. Definitely would not recommend and certainly won’t remember it!

Just visited this restaurant food was amazing and good cocktails . The staff very nice, especial our waiter Anis he was wonderful he was so friendly and made this visit very special . Looking forward going back . Great night .

Great atmosphere, especially in the bar. Service was friendly, including the host who greeted us with ALOHA. Every dish was delicious and served in a fun way e.g. veg tempura served in a big shell, cocktails in a boat. The decorations and photo opportunities were cool also. It only loses a star due to the booking process. I emailed to confirm our booking and the staff member Alessandro just never answered. I also called to ask when there would be live music, and was told when it would be but not that the live music area was booked for a private event that night! Pretty annoying as we had specifically booked a date to see the live music, and we never got to see it.

This was a cocktail only trip with bar snack ( if I remember correctly ?!) I first went to trader Vics to be initiated on their cocktails when I was 18. Almost 40 years later, the place is still FAB and their list of cocktails has expanded somewhat - Scorpian and Samoan Fog Cutter are now the ones to drink - also the ones to watch ! Powerful heady concoctions whose origin could have been from some Polynesian alternative Doctor ?! There is a full restaurant and most dishes are cooked in wood burning oven to deliver great flavour. Recipes generally inspired from Asia and Polnesia but not exclusively.

I used to frequent Trader Vic's in Dubai on a daily basis, and the London restaurant brings back many good memories.

If you are looking for LIVE band and drinks you found the right place. I don't drink so I can't talk about the bar, but there is live music and the Filipino food is great.

Cleanliness was average, service was good. Pricey for what you get, but that’s because it’s in a hotel. The food was genuinely good and worth a visit. Mai Tai !!

Was here a couple of nights and met a lot of people and was treated fabulous by staff!! Traveled in group to watch the Chicago Bears and we (sometimes 10 - 15 at a time) all came in at once and was taken care of promptly, always with a smile, and definitely had patience with us!!

Me and my boyfriend came for our 4 year anniversary. We had a lovely time, food and drinks were delicious, also the staff were really helpful and nice, big shout out to our waiter a Chand. Thank you for your great service!!!

We visited on a Friday evening and was seated straight away as it wasn’t as busy as I had expected it to be. It was on my list for a while to visit. Parking can be a nightmare if your driving here and we ended up parking at the Hilton hotel underground car park which cost £30.

My wife and i had a great meal with a groupon deal. Was erved by Rene R and Kamilla who were great. Will go back soon

We had a fantastic private birthday party at the Trader Vic. We were given the Tiki bar with our own bar. The highlight has to be the food. It was fantastic. Infact Chef Shiran Fonseka himself came to meet us and ensured we were happy with the food. He certainly looked after our culinary requirements.

I just want to thank my Server, Chand, for his great, accommodating and friendly service on my last night in London, September 5, 2019. Chand made me and my colleague feel at home and explained the menu thoroughly. His attention to good customer service was impeccable. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Chand is a true professional and a made my last night in London a wonderful one. Thanks again Chand.

A nice location to eat out in Mayfair.

The bartender Saimir was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the greater London location. Took his time asking me what kind of drinks I liked before recommending the Moku Vam and TU Grog both which were AMAZING! Had the best meal I can remember in a long time and the staff was very helpful in advising which trains I should take for my meeting tomorrow. Conveniently located near Buckingham Palace with a great ambience I highly recommend this spot!

Excellence dinner service. We were welcomed by Guy that he got for us a nice and private table, very relaxing with a nice space to enjoy the live music in the restaurant, the design is fantastic and we all felt very comfortable. The food was delicious, the cocktail even more, we liked so much that we decided to share the “bucket cocktail” with long straws, was funny and very unique. I don’t have my favourite dish since every single we ordered was fantastic and very impressive about the freshness of the food. Will definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to go back.

Mi esposa me llevó ayer al Trader Vic para una cena sorpresa de cumpleaños. ¡Qué lugar tan increíble! ! la noche se reservó a través de Groupon y, aunque había un menú reducido para la oferta, todavía había mucho para elegir para satisfacer todas sus necesidades, nuestros cócteles de la calle 1 eran parte del cupón y no escatimaban en la bebida. Entrantes (Salt n Pepper Squid) recién cocinados con ingredientes frescos y muy bien presentados, mi plato principal Seared Tuna Steak estaba fuera de este mundo, el mejor que he probado, el Calcutta Curry de mi esposa también fue increíble con una gran variedad de acompañamientos para acompañar eso. Con más cócteles y un pastel de piña y helado de ron y pasas bien presentado y un coro de feliz cumpleaños de todo el personal, fue una manera encantadora de terminar la comida. También debo decir que TODO el personal estaba bien vestido, incluso el chef que caminaba por el restaurante con blancos impecables. Todos tenían una sonrisa en su rostro y estaban felices de ayudar. Una mención especial a René, nuestro camarero que hizo todo lo posible para ayudarnos y nos hizo sentir como en casa. Gracias a todos. . . . ¡volveremos! !

Ayer fui al Trader Vic's con un amigo que visitó Londres. Estaba absolutamente asombrada con el lugar. Muy buen servicio, nos atendió Ani 5, que nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos, así como el resto del personal, comida encantadora, excelente ambiente con una banda en vivo de forma gratuita. No puede equivocarse llevando a alguien allí muy buen precio versus calidad

Esto solía ser un lugar habitual para nosotros cuando teníamos 20 años y ahora pensamos que volveríamos a visitarnos para nuestro 10º aniversario de Weddinf. Muy contento con nuestra visita y el servicio fue increíble, como siempre, al igual que los cócteles.

From 5pm on Friday had great cocktails and a great free salsa lesson. Really good instructor. We all had a lot of fun. And the three piece band were salsatastic!!!

The dated carpet made me dizzy as I went downstairs. Dark dining room without windows and a smell of old fashioned hotel restaurant. Many escorts were in activity and I was approached and offered 'services' when I visited the loo. Food overpriced, poor quality. Tables on both side of us were dining on a cheap voucher. Mai Tai was nothing special, this place needs a revamp and is leaving on past glories.

Went in with the family for a drink before eating at nearby restaurant. The theming is great, you forget your're in London. Felt like we were in the Polynesian hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They even gave us a free Polaroid photo in a frame of us as a memento of our visit. We will definitely go there again.

I am a huge fan of tiki bars and love mai tais. I have been trying to go to the Trader Vic’s in London for quite some time now. I have been to the one in Los Angeles (which is now closed) and enjoyed immensely and I seek out other tiki bars when traveling. This one is more of an overpriced tourist attraction than anything. Drinks were good but the bartender carefully measured everything as opposed to free pouring. Portions were small. Food was decent but not fantastic. Service was ok but not fantastic. Spent about 150 £ and still left a little hungry.

Voucher from Buy a Gift reduces the evening but you get stung with buying extra cocktails. 3 course meal was tasty and there is one cocktail included It was disappointing. Nearly paid too much so check your bill.

Been on my bucket list for years. Finally I got a chance to visit and I was not disappointed.

What wonderful decor for this Polynesian themed restaurant, tucked away below ground level in the London Hilton Hotel. The whole restaurant gives you the feeling of being cast away on a desert island - living in a traditional bamboo and timber hut. The atmosphere is enhanced by appropriate background music and subdued lighting. The food was amazing. Absolutely fabulous! Each dish was beautifully presented and was not the 'run of the mill' menu. The staff were extremely pleasant ant helpful and my husband and I had a wonderful evening. We had been 'gifted' the meal as an experience from a well known company - what a wonderful present. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and plan to return.

So my followers, I'm tonight at the world famous Trader Vic's guys! Hadn't been to this bar/restaurant /club/late night venue since an easily impressed teen in the Seventies. It was then an iconic venue, beneath the iconic Hilton Hotel from London's 'Swinging Sixties'- built on the site of a 2nd world war bomb crater in London's wealthy West End. Where the Beatles met M.M.Yogi and went to India to meditate, leading to the Yellow Submarine days. Target of an Irish Republican Army (IRA) bomb in the seventies- killing two and injuring over sixty, and much more recently the site of the Cranberries lead singer sadly drowning in her bathtub after 'over indulging' in alcohol. So a very chequered (but exciting nay colourful) history and a certain tourist draw still. But is it still iconic? Sorry to say, and unsurprisingly, not any more really. London has moved on, and fast, and there are oodles more competition now, but somehow this place still has a certain, 'Je ne sais quoi'. As we were leaving around 10pm, having had a fun business promo dinner for the beautiful island of Samoa, the place was beginning to attract some of the beautiful people. With music most nights until late, hardly surprising. In this Polynesian setting what could be more appropriate for a Samoan island promotion, but somehow the Malibu based cocktails didn't quite kick me like the famed Mai Tai, which the 'Vic' of 'Trader Vics' claimed to have invented many moons ago, (though contested!). And the service, though ok, was 4 star rather than 5, but they tried and certainly didn't ignore you. The food, not at all haute cuisine and doesn't pretend to be, but certainly kept our party happy enough, and my espresso at the end was quite the best I have had for a while (so was the coconut based ice cream dessert actually which surprised me.) Check the menu online if you're going purely for food, but i suspect you're not likely to be, but it has a chilled atmosphere with an unhurried pace and a pleasant Polynesian decor which makes you forget the fast pace of London's West End just outside. I enjoyed it, but don't go expecting fine dining, the latest vibes (not before 10pm anyway!) or extremely attentive service, but perfection isn't always what its cracked up to be is it? We'll soon find out in 'Brexit Britain', won't we Boris?

We stumbled across Trader Vic’s because it was late and everyone else closed at 11:00. We had a fantastic meal, great Mai Tai’s and excellent service. It was pricey but worth the money.

Get there while you still can. Plans are afoot to sell the whole building! What a pity it would be to lose this legend. The friendly staff that greeted us set the tone for the whole experience. The refreshingly different Polynesian menu was explained and dishes described to help us make our choices as first timers. Cracking Mai Tais were served (my new favourite drink) and the evening just got better and better. Will be back soon.

The origin of Trader Vic's was Hinky Dinks in Oakland, California, where Trader Vic Bergeron opened his place in 1934. Since then Trader Vic's has gone global in 17 countries. In London it has occupied the basement of the London Hilton on Park Lane since 1963. It is a vast underground room with a bar and restaurant decorated throughout with the trappings of global travels in art, sculpture and other artefacts. It serves island-style cuisine from all over the world such as Beef Malaysian, Calcutta curry, Hong Kong sea bass, Scottish lobster, Black bean chicken, Tofu, Crispy duck and Beef & Reef etc. There is a separate bar menu of bites and tidbits, along with some 200 cocktails including Vic's signature Mai Tai. We began our global feast with Spiced chicken skewers marinated in yoghurt, cumin, coriander and tomato sauce - all good flavours. The Salt & pepper calamari were really delicious, hot and tasty. Our main courses of Chicken Adobo and Hong Kong Sea bass were also much enjoyed. The chicken had a garlic, soy and bay leaf marinade and was served with rice. The sea bass came in a piquant soy, sesame, ginger and sweet pepper broth, with Basmati rice, scallions and pok choi greens. The desserts were equally exciting and we would recommend the Polynesian coconut snowball of coconut ice cream rolled in coconut and drizzled with chocolate sauce. My Pineapple upside-down cake brought back memories of childhood, although the addition of rum caramel and rum and raisin ice cream brought it up to a much higher level. What a great feast!

Went for a couple of cocktails today around 5pm. Fairly quiet but we were made to feel so welcome by the bar staff. Even offered a trial cocktail !! The manager and the head barman were both brilliant and made our visit there a bit special.

Have to say that my wife have wondered about this restaurant for some time and finally made here. We dined here thanks to a voucher which afforded us a 3 course meal and a cocktail. Our server Camille was lovely, friendly and polite. Each course was really good and nicely presented from a slightly reduced menu as it was a deal, but this di not detract from how good it was. A further glass of wine each was ordered which also very nice and it has to be said that it was well worth a visit and we will most likely return to tray the full menu, as after all, it does not seem so expensive as we imagined being part of the hotel.

Big fan of Trader Vic's and the Mai Tais. Left a below average review after a visit to this Trader Vics location last year and have visited twice since and the experience was delightful so had to post another review. Great cocktails, bartenders and the ambience was lovely. Only wish you'd sell the Mai Tai mix at the restaurant :)

Coming back after 30 years it was a revelation to find it as great as I remembered...

This London landmark bar and restaurant always invokes a sense of fun and ‘tiki’ pleasure - am pleased it’s still here in all its true polynesian spirit and should be on a tick list for everyone who visits London.

I like a themed restaurant but this one seems very outdated along with its poor menu.

This was my first visit but a return for a few of our group. The choice on the menu was ok and looked like it would be a great meal. The starters of chicken skewers were very small and the calamari had no salt and paper on them despite the name. The mains of the sea bass and chicken both lacked something. Sea bass had next to no ginger in it and the rise needed seasoning. The chicken needed some sauce as it was quite a dry dish. The service was a bit hit and miss and the restaurant was pretty empty. We waited well over 45 mins just for pudding to arrive. The return guests did make comment that they remembered it being better.

I haven’t been to Trader Vics for years and the decor is looking a bit tired and like a Disney theme restaurant.

Visited on a Saturday night as a group of 7 for my brothers 21st birthday. We were served by Chand who was very attentive and kept the water at the table refilled throughout the evening without us having to request more. The food was good, I had the sea bass which was cooked well and very flavourful. The rest of our party were all very satisfied with their entrees and mains. The only slight downside with the meal was the desserts, which were just very average. The cocktails were all wonderful and we had quite the selection! We all started with a Mai Tai and they even offer a non alcoholic version, which was perfect as we were with my youngest brother (u18), it was lovely that he didn’t have to be left out! We also tried a few of the sharing cocktails, which were good fun! At no point during the meal were we rushed despite us arriving at 6.30 and staying till after midnight, the service remained steady and friendly throughout! After most of our party left a few of us stayed for a couple more hours in the bar area, which was great with good service and a DJ - the music didn’t really seem to fit with the venue which was a little disappointing, but it was still nice to have a dance! Trader Vic’s is one of our favourite cocktail bars in London and we will definitely be back!

Fabulous cocktails, the service and drinks were great just a shame it was so quiet. Not what I’d have expected for 11pm on a Saturday evening.

We are just on our way home from Traders Vic Mayfair where we enjoyed delicious food served by our friendly waiter Rene who explained the history of Traders Vic and whose personable nature made our evening. We felt we were amongst friends. The live music which consisted of an accomplished duo completed the perfect setting for our evening in Mayfair. We will definitely return.

We took advantage of a buyagift voucher to check out Trader Vic's. The downside of the voucher is a limited choice which is probably fair at a much-reduced price. However, we did struggle to find starters and mains which really took our fancy. The salad was drenched in Ranch sauce; The cheese balls were OK, nothing special (but a very large portion). The steamed seabass was fine, the vegetarian curry passable. Desserts were lovely. The cocktails were good. Service was friendly, attentive and pleasant and definitely outshone the food. Don't think we'll be back; it felt like a notch above TGI Friday, not really worth the effort.

Me and my sister been given this dinner as a birthday gift and I can not tell you enough what a wonderful night we had! Rene was an absolute pleasure to meet and he looked after us in the most special way and the whole team including the manager was just great fun! Definitely coming back! Till next time! Was here with the family for a special occasion on Saturday 11th of may, our waiter was Anis and he looked after us really well, nothing was to much trouble and he really made the night enjoyable.

Walking down 30 steps transports you thousands of miles to a beautiful Tiki Bar. The home of the Mai Tai Cocktail. Cocktails made with love and experience by wonderful OJ and Enzo. They are truly Cocktail Wizards!! We even tried a Carbis Bay Sunrise.

We booked a 3 course dinner for £29 per person - amazing price for the experience it offers, and especially compared to other restaurants around. It's been our 4th time at Trader Vic's (second one in their London restaurant), and it never disappoints. Delicious food, generous portions and superb service. We were served by Chand and had a great time. Service was very quick and Chand was exceptionally friendly.

Trader Vic's from the time we sat down till the time we left was a truly exceptional dining experience. Our waiter was Rene R and he had such a warm and welcoming smile. His attention to detail was great and he made sure that my Fiancee and I were comfortable and enjoying the ambiance and surroundings of Trader Vic's. Rene R had a wonderful sense of humor and the food that we had was fantastic throughout including his recommendations for cocktails.

Came here with my partner for a 3 course meal and cocktail. We really enjoyed it, the Mai Tai cocktails are delicious as was the food, very generous portions that fill you up nicely. Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. Will definitely return here

I came here for my birthday and I loved it! Our waiter Rene was great fun and very helpful! The manager made sure our evening was enjoyable, the staff was overall very impressive.

All of the food and the cocktails was absolutely amazing, and enjoyed in a fantastically themed venue. The staff, in particular Chand & O.J were so friendly and made it a very enjoyable evening.

We visited yesterday and enjoyed a very good meal. The experience was somewhat soured by the waiter who was grumpy all evening. His mood only brightened when a table of giggly girls arrived (surprise surprise ) to whom he vas VERY attentive. The "discretionary" 12.5% tip was given most unwillingly. Will not visit again.

We were staying at the Hilton, so decided to give this a try after having afternoon tea. Since we weren't overly hungry, we split the combo appetizer plate and the Beef and Reef. Our server was very understanding and served both in the center of the table so we could share. On the appetizer plate, we enjoyed the crab ragoon and shrimp, but were underwhelmed with the ribs and pork. The Beef and Reef was the star of the meal. The restaurant seemed a bit dated, but that was just our opinion. So four stars, not five.

My friend bought a voucher from buy a gift, so it was extremely good value. We booked easily and thoroughly enjoyed all the food and cocktails. It was from a set menu, but there was about 5 dishes to choose from and the service was lovely. All in all we enjoyed our experience.

I was invited to Trader for a surprise birthday party! The service was amazing! The staff made sure we had enough drinks, refilled when needed and recommended some dishes. Guy (who is the head of waiters) provided us with Hawaii props and took instax pictures of us! We ordered Malayan beef and crispy duck. The meals were really nicely served and the meat was very tender. The only downside of food at Trader is the lack of spices. We really recommend you try the desserts! We had mango mousse and coconut ice cream and both were amazing!

We came to London for a short weekend visit and being big Tiki and Polynesian Enthusiasts, we had to stop for dinner (I already did in the past, but for my family the Trader Vics visit in London was a first).

We went to Trader Vic’s for a casual family dinner with our three kids ages 11, 14, 19. We were not looking for a fine dining experience. We knew about Trad Vic’s and liked the kitschy South Pacific theme and décor. The food was very good, especially the duck. The appetizers were tasty. It was fun to order the steak on skewers app, which we cooked over a flame at the table. The adults enjoyed drinking tropical concoctions out of large bowls with straws. But what made this dining experience special and set it apart was the truly thoughtful and exceptional service of our waiter, Anis. He was fully knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to all our questions, provided cheerful prompt service with humor and grace. He expertly prepared the duck table-side. He took pride in his work and it showed. He turned a casual dining experience into a very pleasant and enjoyable time. I highly recommentd Trader Vic’s!

Served by Ponis who was really nice and helpful. Food was nice, a bit salty but the experience was great. Fab restaurant and made it a memorable experience. We had a Groupon but still quite expensive but expected as it was on Park Lane.

We went to Trader Vics last Friday evening. I loved the Tiki vibe. There was a real buzz and great live music. Although we were using a voucher and had the set menu I have to say the service and food was great. Rene our waiter was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. A lovely guy. He really made us feel welcome and valued, as did all the staff from the Maitre D’ to the Doorman. We had a great meal and didn’t feel under any pressure at all. Would definitely go again and would recommend Trader Vics to everyone. Thank you everyone for a great experience.

I took my customers here because I have been there before, years ago. The food and atmosphere were great although one steak out of 10 meals came out MR and should have been MW. The appetizers were all spot on. The service was awful. We had to ask for everything, the server never asked us if we wanted a drink it was us asking. She had too many tables for one person. Back in the day the service was so much better. I’m not sure what happened. We were also seated next to an empty room which was not a good site for us. They should have put up curtains or a folding wall to hide that room. The other thing is she never came back to say “how is everything?” after serving our food (apps and dinner). This was disappointing. I’m not sure I will ever take my customers there again.

I chose Trader Vic’s for my 21st birthday dinner and it was awesome! From the venue to the food and the staff it couldn’t have been better. A special thanks to Guy who helped with the booking and Anis that served us that night. He’s amazing!

My wife and I were delighted with the ambience, variety of food and friendliness of staff, from reception to waiter.

Managed to get a Groupon deal for dinner for 2 with a cocktail for £59. I've been there before but many many years ago. The decor is great. The bar area is well attended with lots of business people having early meetings over drinks - the restaurant is in the lobby of the Hilton Park lane. We moved to our table for dinner. The set menu is quite basic. I had calamari to start which was beautifully presented but tough as old boots! Really overcooked. My friend had chicken skewers which she said was average. However we did have the cocktail which was 'laced' so no complaints on that front. For main I had the Chicken Adobo which essentially was just a chiken breast swimming in a soy sauce, nothing impressive at all. My friend had the signature curry which came with a tray of finely chopped onions, tomatoes etc so she could add whatever she wanted to flavour her dish to her liking. But although the presentation was great, the food was lacking. We both ordered the chocolate lava cake, which didn't ooze from the centre, again it was overdone so was a soft chocolate block. We both had one spoonful and discarded it. The waiter was fantastic though, really friendly, and gave us 2 complimentary coffees because we didn't like the desserts. We had a pleasant evening, but the food didn't figure at all in our night out. I wouldn't rush to go back there again.
