Great homemade food, with quality ingredients from nearby award winning butcher. Both breakfasts and lunches are very reasonably priced. Whenever I have been staff have been consistently welcoming and attentive.

To whom it may concern, I feel compelled to write a complaint following an interaction this evening that can only be described as the straw that broke the camels back. This particular Nando's is - unfortunately - my local (less than 5 minutes from my home) and I’ve never experienced such consistently poor customer service anywhere else. On several occasions I have ordered from here to find several items missing from my order and staff couldn’t care less. I have also had my order cancelled after acceptance on more than one occasion for various poor excuses such as the grill has been turned off despite the fact that it is within your designated opening hours. However, this evening has really taken the biscuit. After eating in your restaurant and experiencing the usual sub-par completely unpersonable service (with the exception of the young girl who brought the food out who stood out for actually having personal skills). I returned to collect an order i’d made on the app for my partner, I waited in the seating area for 25 minutes as id been assured by a member of staff that the food was being cooked and on its way. However, upon seeing this staff member leaving I went to wait by the counter to ask what was going on. After some hushed conversation between the staff I was approached by someone i can only assume was the manager who advised that the burger i had ordered had been dropped on the floor and there wasn’t a single piece of chicken left in the whole building to make another. Upon hearing that i would not be fine with being issued a refund instead of food after over 25 minutes waiting in the seating area to return home to my partner who obviously hadn’t had tea empty handed, the lies continued. And it wasn’t until i advised that i didn’t believe this story due to my previous experiences of having orders cancelled simply because the staff wanted an early finish that SUDDENLY Nando's hadn’t run out of all chicken and the manager could in fact put a chicken butterfly in the oven and cut it in half for my double burger - an option which surely you would have led with if you weren’t trying to get away with not fulfilling the order after leaving me to sit for over 25 minutes and sending your staff home with their food. To make matters worse after the manager disappeared smirking - approximately 2 minutes later a double chicken burger appeared with my name on it as if by magic - thrust to me by a different staff member - no explanation as to where it had come from or why i had been advised it had been dropped on the FLOOR and now somehow its in the bag ready to go. Therefore I can only assume I’ve been given sed floor burger - could you advise does this comply with Nando’s food hygiene policy? I think not. I know many people get a kick out of it but I truly do NOT enjoy having to stick up for myself in situations like this, it makes me feel anxious and has completely ruined an otherwise perfectly fine evening. As i say this is not an isolated incident - i could recount several instances of horrendous customer service and failings on the part of this particular Nandos. Which i’ve taken on the chin rather than cause a fuss. It’s so poorly run and staffed that I almost don’t even want to attempt to order (the worst service is reserved for home orders and collections it seems) because it’s guaranteed to be an annoying experience in one way or another. Might I suggest that whoever runs it takes a closer look at what their staff are doing when they’re not their because if thats the best management you’ve got to offer - god help you.
