The White Horse Restaurant

Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd/Llangynhafal, Denbighshire, <20£
31/05/2019: My second time dining here and yet another amazing meal. Beautifully presented and a feast of tastes. Had the sea bass on warm tomato salad with chives and flaked almonds. The other meal was halibut with cabbage done 2 different ways with pine nuts and cauliflower puree. Cannot fault this place. Very friendly and attentive staff. Quite an alternative feel to the decor. Highly recommend.
30/05/2019: Was visiting the in-laws and was treated to a cracking Sunday lunch at The White Horse. As a fairly large party of 9, the staff were very good with both adults and kids. Menu options for the kids were clearly explained and staff were happy to accommodate any issues.

Amelies Cafe Restaurant

Conwy, Conwy
10/06/2019: We had a very awkward grandparent with us - a genuinely difficult customer! He loved his food - that is a 5 star+ review! For pudding we had apricot bakewell. OMG the pasty was beautiful and the apricots were absolutely delicious, the ice cream was great quality too. The room is beautiful and the staff just lovely. Great place.
09/06/2019: After reading reviews on here was looking forwarding to visiting whilst visiting Conwy. Didn't disappoint, lovely, cosy place, with gorgeous cakes and coffee. Would recommend.

Scoops

Seiont, Gwynedd
02/06/2019: My daughter and I visited for a birthday treat on saturday 1st June. We had savoury pancakes for lunch that were freshly made and totally scrumpcious. We then went for a shop and came back about 2hrs later for icecream! Lots of spoon sharing so we got the benefit of the different flavours chosen. Chocolate orange and ferror roche my favourite. Great staff. Warm and friendly atmosphere. Pretty outdoor area aswell. Looking forward to visiting again.
01/06/2019: We happened across this restaurant by accident. It is a small restaurant with only a few tables, so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table to become available as we did. The staff were very friendly and helpful, so it wasn't a problem. The pancakes were amazing - great choice of both sweet and savoury pancakes. We split 1 savoury

The New Mediterranean Restaurant

Gogarth, Conwy
31/05/2019: This was our first visit after moving to Llandudno three years ago. Overall it was disappointing. It started well, warm welcome and good service. I had the halloumi to start which was good. However my main was very poor. I opted for the lamb kleftico. The menu says this is slow cooked lamb for 3/4 hours. There is no way the lamb I had was cooked for this time. It was bland lamb steak that had clearly been cooked after I ordered it, served in a bland sauce with bland rice. I wish they had not put this on the menu as slow cooked kleftico as it really wasn’t and was misleading. For this reason it was only 2 star overall. I really wished it would be better.
29/05/2019: It was our 1st visit to the Mediterranean Restuaurant in Llandudno. What a great night we had especially as it was my hudbands birthday. The starters (borek & homumes) & our main meals lamb ^ chicken kebabs.were all well cooked & delicious .We couldnt fault them at all.The staff especially Jona was so helpfull & attentive ,she is a credit to the company ,also John who is new I believe to the restaurant is a great main of house.Thank you all for a great night ,we live locally & will certainly tell all our friends what a fabulous gem of a place you are

Osborne's Cafe and Grill

Gogarth, Conwy
04/06/2019: A return visit with fantastic service and food. Surprisingly good value for money considering the quality of food. Really enjoyable and tasty food of very good quality with a varied menu.
02/06/2019: Located in a beautifully decorated Victorian building, Osborne’s exudes class. We were warmly greeted by the bartender and we had a nice drink in the spacious parlor. We were escorted into the dining room when our table was ready. We enjoyed Cesar salads to start that included white anchovies. The mains that we ordered were salmon and goat cheese/mushroom risotto (all locally sourced). Both were excellently prepared and tasted amazing. The staff is professional and very friendly. This was our best meal while in Llandudno.

Harbour Hub Cafe

Kinmel Bay, Conwy
24/05/2019: At the end of a good walk from the railway station to view the bridge, it is a great pleasure to find this busy café on the other side. I come for coffee and cake and find a good range of slices and cakes. My cappuccino with high froth is made to order too. There is no table service. I enjoyed having my cuppa outside with a view of the bridge ... which unfortunately was not in operation!
10/05/2019: Facing south over looking the Dragon bridge that crosses the Clwyd river and harbour. This is a delightful spot to take a break after walking or cycling on the Wales Coast Footpath from Prestatyn to Colwyn Bay.

Nando's

Broughton North East, Flintshire
23/05/2019: Stop of here quite regularly with friends either before or after we go the the cinema foods always good and never wait too long always get the haloumi starter
07/04/2019: Ordered my food online for 6:20. I asked for 10 chicken wings and peri peri chips. After getting to the restaurant to pick up my food I was told my order would be 5 minutes or so which was fine. 10 minutes later another customer came to collect their online order and was told theirs would be 10 minutes. This customer was offered a drink because of the inconvenience of the wait which I was never offered. Another 10 minutes had passed and the other customers order was ready, and the girl behind the till told the customer they had been given free haloumi cheese because of the inconvience. 7 o’clock my meal was ready after ordering it for 6:20, without even so much as an apology for the wait. Got home to find out I’d been given 8 wings instead of 10, and soggy freezing cold plain chips instead of peri peri chips. Never again.

Nando's

Smithfield, Wrexham
19/05/2019: There weren't many people in the restaurant so I wasn't waiting long for my food. Staff were friendly and efficient. I like paying upfront when you order because it means you're not waiting around for the bill after you've eaten.
04/05/2019: Was really busy when arrived but got a table for 6 within 5 minutes. Nice staff but the food wasn’t the best. The chips were pale and soggy and the pita bread wasn’t fresh.. It just fell apart.

Zaitun Grill

Mold East, Flintshire
14/01/2018: Ordered for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the food. Seemed a lot more homely than are normal take aways. Was delivered early and still very warm. With a side note that the drinks also came very well chilled compared to other takeaways in the area.
11/11/2017: Had a shish kebab from here and for the price of nearly 9 pounds I got 2 sticks of microwaved shish kebab (I watched him do this right in front of me) a few onions and peppers and a naan bread which was the nicest part of the meal, second being the container it came in. Why didn't I walk? Usually (last year) it was ok and they only partially microwave food before grilling but the manager was sick in hospital so food started getting fully microwaved. Unfortunately I didn't photo it that time but complained to the manager when he came back. Went back and still got the same treatment!!! This time I took a photo to warn people.

Turkish Delight

Mold East, Flintshire
17/03/2016: Food was cold, driver couldn't find house and hardly spoke English
16/03/2016: Order was missing 1 item. Sadly it was a main meal and time was the reason we ordered from them so defeated the purpose of ordering. Have used this place for some and usually good quality and correct. Not sure if a change of name/management has caused issues ?

Dinos

Pant-yr-afon/Penmaenan, Conwy
01/01/2019: Had a dinos many times whilst visiting family and friends in Penmaenmawr and was really looking forward to having my Dino fix again (it’s always been my favourite kebab house) we ordered the famous beach towel which didn’t come in a nann bread it was in a wrap and very small for the price, and I’ve never seen such a small portion of chips !! I also ordered a chicken kebab which are usually stunning but it wasnt this time !! i will try dinos again as I’ve always loved this place, I’m just hopeng it’s just a one off !! if it’s the same on next visit I won’t be going again as I found it very expensive for the portion size we had ,
20/12/2018: Disgusting kebabs from there will put some pictures up of the amount of grease ive never had a kebab like that in my life and to pay £7.50 for it is a joke i wouldnt eat there again and wouldnt recomend to anyone!!

The Benllech Pizza & Kebab House

Brynteg, Isle of Anglesey
28/09/2018: Havnt been here for just over a year and much has changed.
26/08/2018: Used to visit a lot for pizza.. & now the prices have been hiked up so much. Just a small cheese pizza on the menu is around £5! Last time, would rather go to Pizza House Bangor in the way home (if passing) or Bella Bella.. much cheaper prices. Bring them down because everything else (such as the service) is great.
