Virgilio's Pizzeria & Portugese Grill

Rhiw, Conwy, >100£
05/02/2019: We had a lovely evening meal last Friday - the restaurant was busy with family groups, couples and groups of friends. The staff are attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious - the cannelloni was fab - we also enjoyed the whitebait and olives from the starters menu. Will definitely be going back. Also - the Portuguese custard tarts are mouthwatering if you have room for a dessert.
27/01/2019: We visited the restaurant as a large family group just prior to Christmas. It was our first time there but it was lovely. The food was amazing and the staff really helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

The White Horse Restaurant

Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd/Llangynhafal, Denbighshire, <20£
10/03/2019: We had an excellent Family meal here again - the duck & dates starters were excellent, while the pork and the steak baguette mains were also lovely too. All washed down with a very good pint of Bass. We will return next time we’re back home

17/02/2019: Had coffee and delicious home made cake. Beautiful restaurant with lovely food, but also so important, friendly and excellent service...made you feel so welcome, which is sadly lacking in so many places. Would highly recommend.

Seiont, Gwynedd
03/03/2019: Family favourite. Great pancakes. Brilliant ice-cream. One not to miss when you visit caernarfon and not far from the castle
02/03/2019: Visited them for a late lunch on a Saturday. They were busy, had to wait 10 mins for a table, pancake was fantastic with ice cream for desert.

Barratt's of Tyn Rhyl

Rhyl South West, Denbighshire, 30-45£
17/02/2019: We went as a family today and it was better than we imagined, given the rest of Rhyl. What a hidden gem!
29/01/2019: We went for dinner. They could not have been nicer. Why?

Osborne's Cafe and Grill

Gogarth, Conwy
11/03/2019: What a beautiful place for our special reunion meal. Gorgeous setting, with beautiful antiques. The food was beautiful and the staff were very helpful. Would definately go again
09/03/2019: You can’t beat the Osborne for a sense of occasion- gorgeous, opulent decor & furnishings, lighting just right. The food was equally impressive, delicious steak, beautiful sea bass & great fish cakes. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food served. All in all a quality experience & a special night out.

Harri's Portuguese Kitchen

Cadnant, Isle of Anglesey
15/01/2019: A drizzly Tuesday in January needed brightening up and a coffee and Pastis de Nata in Harri’s did just that. Great tasting coffee in a huge cup with a super Portuguese treat to go with it. Well worth a visit.
16/10/2018: Harri's make the best coffee in Wales - superb cakes too! Very friendly & helpful team. A fantastic place to visit. Will be back soon.

The New Mediterranean Restaurant

Gogarth, Conwy
17/02/2019: Not having been fore a while we were looking forward to their new season and new menus. Boy did they deliver. New set menus looked very appealing that included a bottle of wine for 2. Very competitive prices IMHO. Rewinding a bit from the start, thought the front of house was excellent, we booked as it can get busy on Saturday and we had a nice table reserved. It was busy, almost at capacity which is a good sign already as we expected it to be very quiet Mid Feb. Plenty of staff on to look after us. The wine was quick off the mark - pleasant enough. The starters were a success. Both the Fungi plates and Chicken liver meals were very tasty, the sauce on the liver meal was very good indeed. Had to say portion size was more than generous. Mains came about 20 mins later - which is quite right if you are there to have a meal for the evening. Not rushed but not kept waiting a long time. The baked Aubergine meal was superb in my wifes opinion, and I went for classic steak Dianne - cooked to perfection and sauce worthy of dipping my lovely chips in as well. The plates looked good, all side veg laid out in style bit like what you see on Masterchef, but with plenty of it - We opted out of dessert as we were full. Overall a top class place and worth finding it if visiting Llandudno. They have all kinds of choices and all cooked to order. Will be returning soon, will take Gino D’Acampo with us next time :)
14/12/2018: Went for food with family members. Didn’t have any expectations, I was blown away by the flavour of the food along with the friendliness of the staff. Quiet restaraunt but would definitely recommend it to anyway. High quality food at a decent price. Owner of the restaraunt was lovely and so friendly.

Harbour Hub Cafe

Kinmel Bay, Conwy
09/02/2019: Love this place, it’s definitely one of the gems of the north wales coastline. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. It can get busy and sometime service is slow but the wait is worth it as the food is very tasty. You can’t beat sitting outside in the summer and there’s always a warm welcome. Highly recommend.
18/11/2018: Such a good little cafe, such a good choice of ice creams, cakes and hot and cold drinks. Very refreshing little cafe after a walk around the beach

Smithfield, Wrexham
17/11/2018: Poor service lots of waiting time. Can't cope with large party's so many delays some served with next course when others still on the first course
14/11/2018: I had a lovely evening with my 11 year old daughter .. we popped in nandos before our film started .. was greeted straight a way .. I was really impressed with how the team of staff worked together .. the young lad who took my order at the till .. i found out was usually working on the grill .. but jumped to the challenge on the till .. and was professional and friendly .. and good to see someone not shying away from learning new things and making the customer a priority

Broughton North East, Flintshire
19/03/2019: Great value for money, friendly staff and very clean. Not our first visit, food was very good apart from the mashed potato was over done (usually very tasty).
17/03/2019: We visited the Broughton restaurant of Nando’s whilst staying in Chester for a weekend away.

Zaitun Grill

Mold East, Flintshire
14/01/2018: Ordered for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with the food. Seemed a lot more homely than are normal take aways. Was delivered early and still very warm. With a side note that the drinks also came very well chilled compared to other takeaways in the area.
11/11/2017: Had a shish kebab from here and for the price of nearly 9 pounds I got 2 sticks of microwaved shish kebab (I watched him do this right in front of me) a few onions and peppers and a naan bread which was the nicest part of the meal, second being the container it came in. Why didn't I walk? Usually (last year) it was ok and they only partially microwave food before grilling but the manager was sick in hospital so food started getting fully microwaved. Unfortunately I didn't photo it that time but complained to the manager when he came back. Went back and still got the same treatment!!! This time I took a photo to warn people.

Turkish Delight

Mold East, Flintshire
17/03/2016: Food was cold, driver couldn't find house and hardly spoke English
16/03/2016: Order was missing 1 item. Sadly it was a main meal and time was the reason we ordered from them so defeated the purpose of ordering. Have used this place for some and usually good quality and correct. Not sure if a change of name/management has caused issues ?

Pant-yr-afon/Penmaenan, Conwy
01/01/2019: Had a dinos many times whilst visiting family and friends in Penmaenmawr and was really looking forward to having my Dino fix again (it’s always been my favourite kebab house) we ordered the famous beach towel which didn’t come in a nann bread it was in a wrap and very small for the price, and I’ve never seen such a small portion of chips !! I also ordered a chicken kebab which are usually stunning but it wasnt this time !! i will try dinos again as I’ve always loved this place, I’m just hopeng it’s just a one off !! if it’s the same on next visit I won’t be going again as I found it very expensive for the portion size we had ,
20/12/2018: Disgusting kebabs from there will put some pictures up of the amount of grease ive never had a kebab like that in my life and to pay £7.50 for it is a joke i wouldnt eat there again and wouldnt recomend to anyone!!

The Benllech Pizza & Kebab House

Brynteg, Isle of Anglesey
28/09/2018: Havnt been here for just over a year and much has changed.
26/08/2018: Used to visit a lot for pizza.. & now the prices have been hiked up so much. Just a small cheese pizza on the menu is around £5! Last time, would rather go to Pizza House Bangor in the way home (if passing) or Bella Bella.. much cheaper prices. Bring them down because everything else (such as the service) is great.
