The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in Powys Mid Wales

We're very familiar with Foyles having stayed, coffee-d, lunched and dined on multiple occasions over the 10 years or so since they opened. Now it's said that familiarity breeds contempt, but in this case, that couldn't be further from the truth... One of the founding partners, Linda is almost always there with friendly recognition, and other staff members seem to change very little. The ambience is wonderful and the complete refurbishment the owners did to change it from an old country ale house remains imaginative and fresh. The service is (like Linda's) friendly yet informal, always prompt and never hurried. A varied, interesting menu with portion sizes to savour, rather than stuff down. We've sampled the current chef's (?David) food on many occasions and as our lunch last Friday was yet another 10/10, we just had to put finger to keyboard in praise. We live some 20 miles away, but it's testament that if ever someone said "where shall we go to dine", we'd be straight into the car and off to Foyles.

Stopped by for a few drinks - nice friendly service and decor. TV's for watching sport. Parking near by and tables to sit out front.

Visited Peterstone Court for afternoon tea with friends. Staff friendly and attentive. Received a very lovely greeting and welcome from the hotel’s dog on arrival. Sandwiches, cakes and savouries were very nice. Plenty of tea and coffee available. Would visit again, thank you Peterstone Court!

An absolutely wonderful hotel , restaurant and pub - in the ownership of a lovely family. Had a brilliant 2 night stay - room was extremely comfortable- with pleasant furnishings and amazing attention to detail . Had many favourable meals ( breakfasts and dinner) in the restaurant - a nicely varied menu to suit all . The food and drinks were expertly prepared and served - including a lot of flavoursome local produce . Bar had a great ambiance and atmosphere - a proper Mid Wales pub central to the community. Orderedfiid from here on 04/11/2024. The shop was quiet but spotless,the guy serving was very freindly. We had 2 large donner kebabs & a large garlic bread with cheese. All was made fresh to order infront of us and was pipeing hot!! Really enjoyed the food and wpuld visit again 👍🏻🙌

Ordered chicken sheesh kebab with fries it cost £11.50. The kebab wasn’t even cooked fresh they took it out of a hot saucepan ready cooked Salad was minimal and the chips were processed and not fresh . Just horrible warmed up chips. This should’ve cost £5 not £11.50 how they charge so much money.

Fantastic place to eat stayed here for a few days and ate here most days and was some of the best food I have along with value for money. Fantastic portion size and full of flavour all finished with incredible staff will definitely be returning can’t recommend enough.
