The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in Powys Mid Wales

This is a 5 star place, food is not what you think all made from organic things and the taste is unbelievable if your in Hay on wye you must visit this place. If you don't visit your missing out on an experience

One night stay with evening meal and breakfast. The complete experience was excellent. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble - even offered hot water to defrost car. Room was immaculate - never had such a pristine room. The food was lovely and fresh. We will definitely return and recommend to family & friends. Thank you to everyone in the Foyles team.

Stopped by for a few drinks - nice friendly service and decor. TV's for watching sport. Parking near by and tables to sit out front.

We visited for our works Christmas party for the casino night. What was really quite disappointing was the lack of food! No starters or canapés. We were the last table to be served in the whole room and we had a tiny dish (size of the palm of my hand) containing about 3 spoonfuls of cauliflower cheese and the same size dish for the root vegetables. To share between 9 people!!!! They checked on our table multiple times and we asked for more vegetables and nothing appeared! Maybe because we were the last table they ran out?? Upon clearing the tables we could see that the other tables had had larger vegetable dishes. We left very hungry I had to cook myself food when I arrived home at midnight! Other than that the entertainment and casino were really enjoyable and in a lovely room.

An absolutely wonderful hotel , restaurant and pub - in the ownership of a lovely family. Had a brilliant 2 night stay - room was extremely comfortable- with pleasant furnishings and amazing attention to detail . Had many favourable meals ( breakfasts and dinner) in the restaurant - a nicely varied menu to suit all . The food and drinks were expertly prepared and served - including a lot of flavoursome local produce . Bar had a great ambiance and atmosphere - a proper Mid Wales pub central to the community. A very retro place, the food was great and so were the kebabs. My son said the kids meal was very good. We didn’t have to wait long for the food and there were a diverse selection of foods, plus it’s open late. All in all, everything’s about this place is fantastic and all of us would recommend it!

Ordered chicken sheesh kebab with fries it cost £11.50. The kebab wasn’t even cooked fresh they took it out of a hot saucepan ready cooked Salad was minimal and the chips were processed and not fresh . Just horrible warmed up chips. This should’ve cost £5 not £11.50 how they charge so much money.

I recently visited the Abercrave Inn and was greeted by lovely staff. I ordered the chicken tikka sizzler as a few of my friends recommended me to try it. The chicken was tasty and succulent and the food came out piping hot! I love the fact it came with homemade chips. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the log burner fire in the restaurant made it feel really cosy. I will definitely come back again! Great atmosphere and tasty food.
