Wow.. We had an amazing Sunday lunch with family. We were blown away with how delicious the Sunday lunch was. The beef melted in the mouth and the roast potatoes and vegetables were cooked to perfection. I can't understand how this lovely little bistro isn't packed all day everyday because the food was amazing. I'm looking forward to coming back in the summer.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal at Maiden Arch last night. Food was delicious - why is this place not sold out with a waiting list? Barnstaple’s best kept secret - sounds expensive but actually great value for what you get. Highly recommended.

The food was amazing! This is a husband and wife team who know how to make a dining experience not just good but amazing. The service was impressive and was helpful in helping to choose the dishes as her knowledge was spot on. The husband came up trumps with the food served. My fish was cooked to perfection as was my husbands Venison. They say good things come in small packages and this is certainly true with The Antidote. A real gem in Ilfracombe, I wish they were located in my home town.

We booked for three of us on a cold misty night in December. We had a very warm welcome from the team at Take Thyme and their service was great. The food was fresh, hearty and tasty. A wonderful local venue for a cosy meal. Thank you for having us!

A quick stop, only bottles ales, draught lager and cider. The food looks great and a fab price, although as per normal, we don't eat out. At the bar, a local lady said the food was fantastic and from what I saw , I cannot disagree. Lovely welcome from the barmaid with the colourful hair!

We visited for lunch as we were passing through - the food was seriously good, as was the service. Loved the coffee and the home made cakes / baklava, reasonably priced and good value overall.
