A quick stop, only bottles ales, draught lager and cider. The food looks great and a fab price, although as per normal, we don't eat out. At the bar, a local lady said the food was fantastic and from what I saw , I cannot disagree. Lovely welcome from the barmaid with the colourful hair!

Took my daughters here for a late breakfast, the Full Woody was absolutely brilliant! Plenty of food on my plate, the sausages were top quality. I was informed they came from the local butcher, as did all the meat served. My daughters had the sausage egg muffins and thoroughly enjoyed them. Service was excellent so was the coffee, overall a good experience. Was very happy, good value for money and will definitely be returning.

Very average breakfast, the portion for the woodpecker breakfast was embarrassing to say the least. Bacon was just warmed up. Overpriced so Prob won't be returning

Well we went her for breakfast based on great reviews. Dont bother. The chef and staff were drinking Guinness 10am. The breakfast was terrible. Bacon and eggs not cooked and tasted off. So bad. When we complained the chef hid with his pint shocking. We just paid for coffee and left. Felt sorry for the young girl by the bar. Must be new owners ont bother

We booked for three of us on a cold misty night in December. We had a very warm welcome from the team at Take Thyme and their service was great. The food was fresh, hearty and tasty. A wonderful local venue for a cosy meal. Thank you for having us!

An absolute delight! Vanilla Pod offers a truly delicious Mediterranean menu with fresh, flavorful dishes that are clearly made with care. It’s a family-run restaurant, and you can feel the warmth and pride in everything — the mother is the chef, and her cooking is outstanding. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. Friendly service, cosy atmosphere, and food that leaves a lasting impression.

Hotel lovely, food very nice but portions are a bit on the small side. Bit of a walk to the front. Wouldn't recommend to anyone with mobility issues as Ilfracombe very hilly.

If you love fine dining and are in Ilfracombe this is a must visit. The Antidote is a very small restaurant owned by people who clearly love what they do. There's only 6 tables so booking is essential if you don't want to miss out (and believe me, you don't!). We had soup for starters which was delicious. I didn't take a photo as it was so delicious we just dived straight in! For mains i had the guinea fowl and my partner has the hake. Both were beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. For pudding we both had the pistachio and rose pudding. This was so light and beautifully balanced. The service was also fantastic, you weren't hurried at all and our hostess took the time to speak with us. All in all, we will be back for sure and would recommend to anyone who loves fine food. The value for money is just amazing too. A must visit!
