Excellent home cooked food from the countries of the former USSR (Ukraine, Lithuania etc, not just Russia!), very well presented. They opened especially for us on a Tuesday because we pre-booked and were more than six people! Some dishes can even be changed to vegetarian versions. All is cooked from scratch, even the cherry cordial is organic and home-made.

Great hotel, the staff were police and looked after all our needs. The offer of fresh milk for the room was a lovely touch. We didn't use any of the extra services. It's not far from the main part of town, it's about a 15-minute walk to some lovely shops and stuff. The room was lovely, huge and very warm. For the price we paid, it was a steal. Our room was a double deluxe for £113 which included breakfast, absolute bargain. Bar area is very relaxing and if you like a cocktail, this place is class. I ordered an Old Fashioned and it was the best one I have had in ages. I go from bar to bar looking for a good Old Fashioned and this one was bang on, perfectly balanced and well made, not just thrown together in 30 seconds. The bar tender was really nice and very helpful when we needed a taxi. The buffet breakfast was lovely, not oily, and they use good quality food. Nice dining area. There is also a menu to oder food from as well, so I would check that out before you fill your plate. Oh, also loads of off street parking We will be coming back here for sure, it was worth every penny and more

Absolutely amazing food and venue. If you are in Ramsgate you need to come here and enjoy not only the coffee which is first rate, we had the cappuccino, but food…well it’s all made in house, down to the sauces that go on your bacon butties! You can guess what I had for brunch! It’s also wheelchair accessible, child friendly, and the staff are lovely. The decor is great too, local artwork on the walls, and yes there is free WiFi for those of us who are surgically attached to our technology. On a side note, the building is a real oldie with a lot of history. Once upon a time it was a toy shop, in the 1800’s, then a drapers shop, then becoming a haberdashery’s and it’s final incarnation, this fabulous cafe that sells delicious coffee, cakes and the most amazing focaccia you will ever sink your choppers into. 100/10
