Good fish and chips with good service well worth a visit to sit outside and enjoy the view. Batter was crisp and not greasy and the fish taster fresh. Enjoyable meal.

Delicious meal - great to have 3 fish of the day options with other tempting specials as well as a v good menu. Moules and leeks for starters v tasty. Thre fish - wild bass and whole plaice was super delicious- bass was expertly cooked. 70s classic baked alaska also delicious 😍 Lovely ambience and staff- would recommend to anyone ! Thanks.

The food is actually really not good. We all ordered the chicken and waffle after being told that there were no pancakes (having waffles but no pancakes is an instant red flag for the freshness of the food). The waffles are from a packet and not fresh at all, the bacon also tasted very old, the chicken was grey and tasted gone off in a soggy bread crumb and the sauce was ok. None of us finished our food, hugely disappointed. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and good drinks, just let down by the terrible and massively overpriced food.

We visited Ole and Steen for lunch, they change their menu regularly and we have tried various things from the breakfast rolls in NYC and a delicious cake, rolls and Socials in London and now tried the hummus on rye, it did not disappoint. They are consistently good with their food and coffee. Staff serving here in Oxford could have been a bit friendlier though.
