Booked on line as not been before which was lucky as don’t think we would have got a table otherwise . Great service and food and imo good value. Lovely setting over looking lake which is a great walk if you need to build up an appetite on a cold day!!! Must be beautiful in the summer Yes we will definitely be going back …

Still a really great cafe, we've been regulars for over 15 years. Good food fast service. Queue up, order, pay and find a seat. Food will be with you almost as soon as you sit down Good for a range of sandwiches and jacket potatoes plus cakes. They do breakfasts until 1130am. Now do a portion of fries too.

Great choice, excellent value for money, The food was delicious and good sized portions. The staff were friendly, the location is quiet and the real ales were brilliant

We stopped here for a little food and drink as a minor detour from a hike and while it looked charming from the outside, once we were inside we saw the following: (1) severe under-staffing (2) depressing lighting and decor (3) very shabby 'garden' area that could use a LOT of improvement and (4) quite smelly, old bathrooms with incredibly slow, weak, and unusable hand dryers that didn't seem to have been updated in decades. The food looked nice enough from a distance but as we were told there would be at least an hour's wait for us to even receive starters (due to the under-staffing) we left. Also it all looked a bit over-priced considering the environment and generally in-need-of-renovation vibe of the place.
